When Zac saw Dario coming home unaccompanied, he started walking more slowly.
He was already wearing something on his face to protect his identity.
Today was not the day for his great revenge. That was just a nocturnal adventure to scare Dario but also for Zac to get some information.
Nevertheless, Zac had a smile under his mask. That would be very, very pleasant for him.
"Yoh!" he called in Dario's direction, attracting the attention of the young man with brown hair, a black jacket, and gray trousers who was walking not far from his house.
Dario lived in a building divided into several apartments, each with its own front door along the more than 300 meters of the building facing the street. Several flights of stairs provided access to the more than 20 apartments in the complex, which were almost evenly divided between two- and three-bedroom units.
Dario's house was two flights of stairs from Zac's and four from his own.
When he heard the man calling for his attention, he couldn't help but stop and look cautiously at the short stranger who was approaching him.
"Who are you? What do you want?" Dario put one hand behind his back, ready to reach for his gun.
Dario was more involved with The Vipers than most people who knew about his involvement with the gang know!
He had never killed anyone, but he had done things that would make someone in his position carry a gun at certain times and be on the lookout for strange people approaching him at night.
Zac stopped about 10 meters in front of Dario and noticed the pistol the guy was ready to grab if necessary.
'You carry a gun?' He noticed curiously. 'Not for nothing. A man who can send a group of thugs to act against Amy just to hurt me must have been and seen things so deep that he has to take care of himself.'
Zac clenched his fists behind his back and thought about how to deal with Dario.
The best thing would be for him to beat Dario so badly that the guy would have no future and would end his days in a hospital bed. But that would be problematic and could lead to even bigger problems for Zac.
The young Small took a step forward and showed Dario both of his hands, indicating that he had nothing on him.
"Hey! Stop where you are!" Dario felt nervous being confronted by a masked stranger in the middle of the night and couldn't help but draw his gun and aim at his opponent's left chest.
Zac hesitated when he found himself in Dario's sight, but when he made a calm gesture indicating that he had no bad intentions, he continued to approach Dario slowly.
He raised his voice and said. "Hey, hey, take it easy! I'll take off my mask. I'm here on behalf of the boss." He said as he slowly moved his hands to his face, still walking towards Dario.
Dario felt cold sweat running down his neck and back and took a slow step back, still cautious.
But when they were only 5 meters apart, Zac strangely moved his finger, and Dario felt his gun pointing towards the middle of the street.
Zac jumped at Dario, forcing the young man's finger to pull the trigger while the barrel of the gun pointed away from him.
"Shit!"
Bang!
A shot rang out, but just then, Dario felt a numb sensation in his right hand holding the pistol, as Zac was too close to him to change his aim and try another shot.
Before he had a chance to use his gun again, Dario felt a decisive blow to his body as Zac hit a sensitive spot on his right arm, causing him to lose his grip on the hand holding the pistol.
He staggered backward as his eyes widened in concern, finding himself in the terrible situation of losing his weapon to a mysterious opponent.
"Shit! Don't kill me! The Vipers will come after you!" He doubted that this strange man belonged to his gang because the number two of this criminal faction was very close to him and would never send someone to kill him.
For something like that to happen, he'd have to do some pretty big shit!
However, Dario has only had problems with small fries so far, nothing that would worry the gang leaders enough to send someone to burn a file on him.
Zac ignored the guy's comment and used what little fighting he knew, directing his still-training powers to his feet and hands as he kicked and punched Dario.
Pow!
"Aaagh!"
Although Zac couldn't fight as well as a delinquent like Dario, his powers made him difficult enough to deal with. His eyesight, coupled with his improving physical form, gave him the agility and speed to act before his targets could protect themselves.
When he circulated his electrical abilities throughout his body, he could electrocute the targets of his punches and kicks on a small scale, enough to hurt and make someone like Dario scream in pain.
Even though Zac's fists still didn't have much weight or power on their own, they were enough for now!
"Aaaaagh!"
Zac hit Dario's ribs, back, head, arms, and legs several times, beating the bastard mercilessly while they were on this inner-city street where there were no security cameras or good street lighting.
But after 30 seconds of beating his opponent in rage, Zac came to his senses, remembering that a shot had been fired and witnesses would soon be there out of curiosity or trouble.
Dario had suffered enough at this point. So he quickly stole everything the guy had on him.
'That's all for today, you bastard.' He thought before looking at Dario's cell phone, which he wanted to use to learn more about the members of The Vipers that were connected to the piece of shit lying in front of him.
Before he left, Zac made a thoughtful remark. "It would have been easier to hand everything over to me when you had the chance, you piece of shit!"
He ran off without looking back, heading in the opposite direction of the one that led to his house so as not to lead possible enemies where he shouldn't have.
After a moment on the move, he unlocked Dario's cell phone and had access to the guy's conversations with not only minor cronies but also relevant names within The Vipers.
Among them was Kai's contact.
"Oh?"
