Olivia sagged on the sofa, gasping. Tears finally flowed down her cheeks.
Elias grabbed her hands, "I didn’t mean to hurt you. I never would... But I feel compelled to tell you the truth."
Olivia looked at his hands holding hers and asked, "Why didn’t they say anything about this to me?" She slowly raised her eyes to him. "Did they count me weak?"
"No… They care about you."
"Yeah…" She scoffed and looked away, shaking her head. "They thought their confession might hurt my feelings. But they did not believe that concealing the truth was what wounded me the most."
"I know." Elias squeezed her hands. "I believe they will tell you everything. And…" He reached out to wipe her tears away. "One thing you must remember is that you are a beautiful and strong woman. Anyone can be attracted to you." He changed the subject to alleviate the tension.
"Hahaha…" Olivia laughed. "Yup. I am a pretty woman. There's a long lineup of hot guys chasing me."
