Confinement

The creaking sound of the opening door resounds inside the room as the light spills in. In the middle of the room, a wooden bed with red sheets can be seen, a table on the side with a bookshelf adjacent to the wall. The room had no windows and can only be described as a holding cell.

"Wake up darling it's time for your meal~" a sultry voice can be heard as a girl with waist-length black hair and beautiful features walked in carrying a tray of food.

She wore a black colored one-piece dress that exposed her sleeves and shoulders. Standing at 160 centimeters, her gait exuded elegance and can only be described as akin to a fairy's dance, along with her seductive curves and endowment, it created a perfect harmony of beauty. Walking to the side of the bed, she ruffles the hair of a man lying motionlessly as if paralyzed. The girl kissed the man's forehead gently and giggles lovingly. The atmosphere could have been described as wholesome if not for the dark void in the black eyes of the girl and the dull look in the man's lifeless eyes.

The man lying on the bed is Reginald Cruz, he is a 21-year-old psychologist who is passionate in his work. He is 180 centimeters tall with black hair and dark blue eyes likened to the ocean's depths. He had been in this situation for 3 weeks now, and he had been reliving the same routine every day. During mealtime a paralyzing gas is released into the room from the ventilation duct, which renders him immobile for hours leaving him in the mercy of the girl, his patient.

It was about a month ago when he first met her, she introduced herself as Trina Alvarez. She came to him asking for counsel on how to deal with depression after getting dumped and getting a restraining order filed against her.

'You know at the time I should've recognized those crazy eyes; I mean who the fuck gets a restraining order filed against them if they're normal? Now I'm stuck here getting bored the fuck out.' Reginald thought.

That's right, he was just bored. He wasn't scared or worried at all. Well, for the first couple of days maybe, but as time went on, the fear wasn't just there anymore. It also helped that his captor was such a beauty that he almost feels content about his situation.

'Oh god, is this it? Am I finally experiencing the might of the infamous Stockholm Syndrome?' Reginald mused.

As a passionate man, he took his profession seriously and offered good counsel to his patients. Too good apparently as it cost him his vacation days. Not that it mattered as he won't be getting out of here any time soon. He should stop caring too much about work and his patients as it may lead him to a worse situation, not that he's in a good state right now. It's just that having been confined by a beauty rather than a male psycho is much more desirable.

"Here, open your mouth, say ah~" Trina shoved the spoon inside his mouth with a smile.

"You know it was such a good thing we met right after my breakup, if you weren't there for me, I don't know what I'd have done." Trina caressed his cheek gently as she expressed her thoughts. She just finished feeding him and placed the tray to the side. Right after that, she placed her hand inside his shirt as he caressed his chest. She started kissing all over his neck, chest, and ears.

'Oh, fuck yeah, this is too good. If only this was done normally, I would have really enjoyed this wholeheartedly' Reginald was broken out of his thoughts as Trina started to bite and lick his earlobes.

"Still, this is the best method, else, you would leave me and file a restraining order against me. Yes, this is the only way for us to be happy" she stated.

'Bitch what the hell are you on about?! If only I could speak right now, I would have told you how stupid you are.' Reginald responded aggressively in his head. He can still chew his food but he can't formulate sounds other than guttural growls from his throat so he can only keep to himself.

After a few minutes of sensual touches, Trina finally stood up and collected the plates and the tray and walked towards the door after kissing Reginald's forehead.

"Good night my love~" she said as she locked the door on her way out.

1 hour later.

Reginald started stretching his limbs as he regained his movements, he stood up from the bed and paced around for a few minutes before lying back down.

"It would have been better if there are other forms of entertainment here, all this psychology books are cracking my head. She could have at least provided a novel or a TV, what the hell am I supposed to do in this cramped space?" After a minute of silently looking at the ceiling, he begrudgingly stood up and made his way to the desk and began looking through the books. He continued to flip through the books when he finally found a title that caught his interest.

'Lucid Dreaming Therapy for Nightmare Patients'

"I've heard of this before, this isn't verified though, there is no protocol for that kind of psychotherapy." Reginald continued to flip through the pages as he understood the content more and more.

'Lucid Dreaming is commonly described as the state in which a dreamer is consciously aware of being within a dream. While there is no universally accepted definition or established protocol for Lucid Dreaming Therapy, it can be broadly characterized as any technique aimed at promoting awareness within dreams for therapeutic purposes. Lucid Dreaming has a foundation in neuro-anatomy and function, as it typically occurs during rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. During this phase, there is an increase in neuronal activity in areas like the amygdala, brainstem, and extrastriate occipitotemporal cortex, while neuronal activity decreases in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and precuneus.'

"Alright, it says here that the way to induce Lucid Dreaming is to affirm that you are dreaming. Alright I'll just have to convince myself that I am dreaming, and I will gradually attain lucidity. It says it will take a long time, oh well, time is all I have anyway."

Reginald lied down and started to follow the instruction on how to induce lucid dreaming.

'I'm dreaming… I'm dreaming… I'm dreaming…" he repeated in his head again and again. Then, he was on top of an infinite ocean.

"What? That easy?" he couldn't believe it.
