Cafeteria Trouble

Izumi and Reiji chatted idly as the two of them walked towards the cafeteria.

"Seriously though, you're already at the second year of highschool, so when are you going to get a girlfriend?" Reiji said as he continued walking.

"But is having a girlfriend really that great?" Izumi asked nonchalantly as he looked at Reiji.

"Ofcourse! If you don't, maybe your younger siblings will get in a relationship earlier than you do!" Reiji protested with a very exaggerated tone.

(I wonder how he will react if he finds out that I already have a girlfriend? But maybe Mi-chan would be embarrassed and get angry at me, so I won't say it. Then again, seeing Mi-chan's angry face is also worthwhile, Hahaha.) Izumi thought at the back of his mind as he imagine Mitsumi's cute pouting face.

"Yeah, there's a possibility that Yuu would get a girlfriend, but I'm not sure about Yunna." Asahi wondered as he thought of his younger brother and sister.

Izumi had two younger siblings. One is a boy named Nikaido Yuu, and the other one is a girl named Nikaido Yuuna. Both of them are twins, so they have similar names and has the same age. The only difference is that Yuu has an average face, while Yuuna has an attractive one.

Both of them are also a year younger than Izumi, and they are first year high school students at the same school Izumi goes to.

"Well, I'm sure Yuuna-chan would also get a boyfriend. After all, she has an attractive facial structure. Unlike a certain someone I know." Reiji said with a grin as he look at Izumi.

"And are you saying that I don't have an attractive appearance?" Izumi asked in a cold voice as he starts strangling Reiji.

"Wait, stop! I was just kidding!" Reiji surrendered as he smile, throwing his hands in the air. After that, Izumi let him go.

"Ah~ cough! cough! Geez, stop with the violence dude! cough!" Reiji protested as he continued coughing.

"It's your fault in the first place though." Izumi said as he continued walking, leaving him behind, not bothered by Reiji's protests

"Hahaha, let's just buy some food then. We're near the cafeteria." Reiji said as he catches up to Izumi.

After walking for a moment, both of them arrived at the school cafeteria.

The cafeteria is filled with students from first year to third year. They were walking around everywhere like ants. The cafeteria is wide, so students didn't hit each other often while walking.

The line of the cafeteria was also short. Mainly because most students already finished buying their food.

While Reiji and Izumi were choosing what food to buy, a group of girls suddenly appeared in front of them.

Both Reiji and Izumi were surprised by their sudden appearance, so Izumi asked them.

"Um.. Do you need something from us?"

"S-senpai, we're just here to thank you for saving us earlier. Oh, by the way, my name is Shirakawa Yukina, nice to meet you." one of the girls said.

"Oh! So you're the group of girls earlier this morning. Don't mention it, I just did the right thing." Izumi said with a calm smile on his face, remembering the group of girls he saved from a flying ball.

"No, we wanted to repay you back, so please." Yukina insisted, the other girls behind her also moved their heads up and down.

"Are you sure?" Izumi asked.

"Yes please!" The girls said in unison.

"Alright then, can you please buy me that ice cream over there? I originally came here to buy dessert anyway." Izumi said as he pointed out a picture of an ice cream on the menu hanging in the wall.

Seeing that, the girls bought it and gave it to Izumi. Izumi recieved it and gave them is thanks with a smile. "Thanks for the ice cream. It's really great."

"N-not at all.. we should be the one thankful instead. If you didn't save me back then, I would have been injured." Yukina said shyly as she looked at Izumi's face. "O-one more thing, senpai.."

"Hm? What is it?" Izumi asked innocently.

"U-umm.. May I call you as 'Izumi-senpai' from now on?" Yukina asked shyly with a faint blush.

"Wha-.. O-of course, yeah. you can." Izumi was surprised for a moment, but he quickly came back to his senses and replied with a stutter.

(Oh god! Did this girl just fell in love with me!? Oh no, what should I do? Should I reject her? No, let's just observe first. It'll be super embarrassing if I act so confident and reject her, but she just genuinely wants to repay her favor to me and have no personal interest in me.) Izumi thought nervously.

Izumi immediately suspected that Yukina likes him. After all, he read so many mangas and novels with similar situations, that he would already be considered as a dense person with a head made out of a neutron star if something like this still won't be noticed by him.

"Thanks. Once again, it's nice to meet you, Izumi-senpai. And you can also call me Yukina." Yukina said with a cheerful smile, her face a little red. The girls behind Yukina also began quickly cheering for her.

"Y-yeah.. Nice to meet you too, Yukina.." Izumi said awkwardly as he tries to regain his composure.

(Oh cr*p. What sort of trouble did I just get into?) Izumi asked no one in particular in the back of his mind, his eyes looking dead.

When suddenly, a girl arrived. The girl has a petite body and a black hair tied in a twin tail. "Hey! Yukina, so this is where you are! I was looking everywhere for you!... huh? why are you here?" The girl started talking to Yukina, but when she noticed Izumi, her expression changed. She asked him with a look of disdain.

(Oh god! Another troublesome person just appeared! Why does this tsundere of a sister of mine showed up in a wrong timing.) Izumi thought as he touched his forehead.

The girl who just arrived is Izumi's younger sister, Nikaido Yuuna. She is a brocon, but her brother complex is directed towards Yuu. And for some unknown reason, she have some hostility towards Izumi.

(Why does she holds hostility towards me anyway!? On the hand, Why is she such a brocon towards Yuu!? Is this the special privilege of a romcom protagonist!? But this is the real world, not some romcom manga, come on!" Izumi complained at the back of his mind, his eyes almost tearing up.

"Izumi-senpai saved me earlier, so I came to thank him." Yukina said with a smile.

"Him? How could this delinquent save you?" Yuuna said in a loud voice as she look at Izumi.

(Can you just shut your mouth! You're humiliating me! What did I ever do to you!?) Izumi scream in his mind, but his outward appearance still has a calm smile.

"Oh, if you don't like me being here, I'll just leave." Izumi said with a smile as he left, still holding the ice cream in his hands. Reiji, who just finished buying his own ice cream in silence also followed him.

"Yeah, that's right! go away!" Yunna shouted from behind.

Izumi just ignored her.

After getting far enough, Reiji, who has been quiet for a while now, said. "What a Riot! And here I thought someone would finally take a liking to you! Why does Yuuna-chan hate you anyway?"

"As if I'd know that. Ha~ I just wish that she'd shut her mouth." Izumi said with a deep sigh, exasperated.

"Haha, go for it, Izumi!" Reiji said with a laugh as he patted Izumi's back.

Meanwhile, a few minutes earlier, when Izumi was still talking with Yukina.

Mitsumi and her friends was standing at the corner of the cafeteria, watching the whole situation unfold.
