"You've done well, Gavin," Amelia said as she walked into her best friend's office. Gavin was seated on Vivienne's spot as he looked out of the floor to ceiling windows.
Swirling on his seat, Gavin turned and gave her a look. A smirk formed on his face as he stood up. "You sold me out."
Amelia raised a perfectly carved brow in askance. "Sold you out, how?"
"You used my name on the paper instead of yours. Vivienne doesn't know you're part of this, does she?" Gavin asked, watching her closely.
Amelia shrugged. "She probably does. I have no idea. The last time I called her, our conversation didn't end well. She sounded quite distant and annoyed that I hadn't been in touch for the whole of the incident. Vivienne can be such a brat sometimes."
Gavin gave her a look. Amelia was the one acting like a brat but he said nothing about it.
"I held a board meeting and announced my new position as the CEO of Jewel Goddess."
