Immediately, Jenkins stood to his feet and stretched. "I'm so tired and hungry. Vivienne, what have you had tonight?"
"It's morning already," Luis said.
"I was returning home with dinner when I got kidnapped so I haven't had anything to eat yet. Now that you said that, I'm starving." Vivienne replied. Jenkins, as he walked away, said he was going to find something to eat in the kitchen. Vivienne thought the same and stood to her feet.
But she was half on her feet when she felt a sharp pain shoot up her abdomen. She winced and fell back into the sofa. Luis immediately bent over to hold her in place.
"You okay?" Luis asked. His voice was low.
Vivienne nodded and smiled at him. "Yes, I am."
But Luis didn't believe her. He gave her a stern look. "Don't fucking lie to me."
