Chapter Six

Nella ran out after Mika, now back to her human self again. "MIKA! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!"

She screamed. All of a sudden, Mika ran out from behind some bushes, making a deep gash on her arm with his sword. "AH! YOU BASTARD!" she winced in pain as she grabbed her own sword out of its holster. "Two can play at that game." and with that she lifted her sword to his. He retaliated quickly, swiftly moving her sword and swiping just as she ducked out of the way. Mika stumbled and she spun, swinging her sword, creating a wound on his side. His face twisted into rage now as he leaped at Nella again, the sword just missing her. "I am going to kill you, just like I killed your sister. Then when i'm done i'll take the power stone and let this kingdom die!" this enraged Nella and she dove at him without thinking, her mind just full of anger and despair. As she attempted to plunge her sword in, he perfectly caught her side and she fell to the ground in pain. Blood started pouring out, and she felt this one had gone deep. "Now you will bleed out, just like this kingdom will. Pity." and with that, Mika walked away to finish his quest. The quest that had been his all along...never hers. Suddenly, the magic started draining from the island, the mysterious barrier keeping them hidden vanishing. Her necklace started losing its color,she could feel the power drawing from her body. She laid there, too weak to do anything but watch it happen. Then Mika appeared over her, holding a pure white stone the size of an apple in a gloved hand. "Wow this little stone did all this." he said gesturing around to the now fading magic, "Just imagine what this can do in the hands of people who know what to do with it." With that, he turned and started to head back to shore,triumphant cries heard in the distance. Nella turned on her stomach, the pain excruciating, and tried going after him. She didn't get very far before she could no longer move, and darkness consumed her as everything went black.

Nella woke up gasping for air, as she looked around to get a handle on her surroundings.

"Oh thank goodness, we didn't think you would wake up." A woman's voice said. Nella looked over to see her parents sitting there, looking devastated. "Nina? Where is she? Is she really…" she said but she knew the answer before Nideen even spoke. "She's gone Nella...I'm sorry."

"No she can't be...I JUST GOT HER BACK!" I screamed through tears. "I...I have to go and get the stone back. Who knows what they are planning to do with it but i'm not going to let that happen." Nella sat up and started putting her armor back on, trying to hide her pain as she pulled it over her wounds."Sweetie...Nella… we can't lose you too, so just...be careful. Okay?" her other pulled her in and held her tight. She let go as her father came over "Also, The power stone is dangerous if it touches your bare skin. It will take you prisoner and hold you captive inside the stone. Only the pure of heart can hold the stone and harness its full power." Nella nodded and grabbed her sword. "I'm going to need a ship." Nideen and Stella looked at eachother. " I think we can help with that." They led her down towards the shore into a hidden cave holding a ship and a boat for one person. "This should be good, thank you." Nella said as she boarded the boat, making her way out of the cave. "Good luck, please come back safe…" She heard her parents muffled yells. "Oh I'll be back, WITH the powerstone." Nella said to herself "And this time, I won't lose."
