Chapter 10 : Caught in His Bed

The castle was in full-on prep mode. Apparently, the Alpha had called for a grand party to celebrate his successful hunt. What hunt he was referencing, I had no idea. My only thought was to get up and dressed as quickly as possible.

Aldith was in no better state than I, each of us having slept a solid ten hours before the clamor of footfalls above us woke us up.

I was so startled from my dream, the shock of having woken up late didn’t hit me until Aldith slapped me into focus.

I had no idea what the time was, but I knew Morgina would not be happy if we were late on our first day.

I fumbled with my dress, trying to pull it on without messing with the hair I had so carefully put together. I supposed I hadn’t thought through the best approach to preparing myself for a day serving an Alpha.

“Come on!” Aldith yelled from the open door. I ran after her, nearly tripping over people passing past, all trying to get to the same place.
