C 39. Calm After The Storm

Mary's action is weird to me, but some thoughts come to me after Peter said we are going back to sector 7.

Why will we go back because of this small setback? And I'm not the one that assaulted her lest he said that I'm losing control.

"So, I was lied to about the cafeteria, you only want me to meet mary?" I said, staring at him.

"Looks like it," he said in a thoughtful expression. "And now they said we should go back, there are things to assess."

Hmm, how will I cause them some trouble? This might be insignificant but transparency is required between successful cooperation.

If they could just send me like this without explanation in this matter, I believe they will continue to do however they like.

Even within the contract that I signed, explicitly there should be transparency in their experiment on me. That means anything they do I should know what it was and at what phase they are.

What are the possible negatives or positives, and if I'm not satisfied with certain things I have the right to refuse? 

Director Benjamin was there to supervised the contract that why it has some credibility.

Am I being paranoid?

I guess, but still, I need an explanation. A little information about my meeting with Mary wouldn't hurt, why with the lie?

I'm bored inside this pod watching the scientist in their white uniform move around. They seem excited but also afraid, and from time to time they will dart their gaze at me.

"Care to inform me what is going on?"

I figured that I can't hear anything from the outside and neither can they hear me. 

Only the leading scientist can converse with.

"There is some data about you that changed. And some of our theories of you are being confirmed and new theories are generating.

Overall, you open our eyes to some mysteries. Also, we just confirmed that your path of development involves what you did last night."

"How do you plan to make me assimilate the strength energy?"

"Well, that is the problem. We can't start now until one of our security personnel comes back from a mission.

Or we will risk you losing control. And besides, we need the kid to confirm certain things and for now, he is closely guarded by sector 7. Even sector 9 has gone to great lengths to have him for five minutes."

But now, things have changed a little bit. Your power is just too pure and chaotic, another aspect is that it seems endless."

He said I should excuse him when he went to read some reports. It took some minutes before he came and stood before my pod.

"So, why do you say it's endless? Nothing is endless, not even the universe. Everything has a beginning and an end." I said lazily.

Maybe if I'm able to control my powers, it will be good news to have endless energy but, endless to me means more struggle.

Wait, energy? In class, we were told physical enhancement is just an enhancement without energy. Only emitters have energy.

Even though my mom said something similar I thought she meant my raging emotion due to my abnormal body strength.

As I have super strength that means all aspects of me will be amplified. I look at the scientists he seems engrossed in reading a report before he diverts his attention to me.

"We mean endless because our sensor can't quantify it now. And….."

"Energy, do you mean energy figuratively? But in class, it was thought that enhancers have only developed strength."

"Don't confuse yourself. Things will be clear. And what was thought in class was not the whole truth.

As for energy, yes you are filled with energy. When the energy stopped increasing we termed that you reached 100%, but now you move forward and become 107%."

"I increased, where did the energy come from?"

"Yesterday, during your actions, you assimilated 7% of your original energy, with the initial 100% reduced to 93%.

Currently, as we speak your body is healing from the rampage and the amount increased by 7%. That means the addition of 14% was added that filled the original 100% and with more addition of 7%

Hope you understand the math?" 

I nodded!

"But your physical cells' durability has doubled if we remove the energy. And that is how we concluded that your human cells assimilated the 7% percent and become strong naturally which give room for deep core energy buried inside to pour out.

The more naturally you grow stronger the more energy will pour out to refill. And through that your whole body will be nurtured gradually.

The problem is that we can't estimate the amount of the deep core or find its location in your body." 

I technically understand some things but that raises more questions.

"This all is complicated but for now, you should get ready for a long journey that even we don't know how far it will go.

And we have decided to teach you everything we know about the secrets of enhancers because that is the only way we can work together."
