ABOUT THE BOOK

ABOUT THE BOOK

INITIALLY THE EDEN LOST has only been written a single story, that of David Heringer, which is in the first volume — Eden Lost, The Last Christian on Earth — but I realized that the story was much more than just about David and Ivy's romance, there were characters as interesting as they were, and I was wondering about Juanes, what his story would be like, his family etc.

In that came the stories that completed the trajectory of the Heringer's, so I decided to create other stories, some of them already existed, for example, the story of Dylan Bornstorm that was called Dylan, the love on the Divã, and that of Enrico was also a separate script, but after analyzing my works, I realized that they complemented each other.

This was the first book my wife read and said: Wow! It was from this book that I really felt the firmness that I could be a top— notch writer and invest heavily.

Perhaps a curiosity that crosses everyone's mind is why there are images of crows, both on the cover and at the end of chapters, for two reasons: It's Ivy's favorite story, — The Crow— by Edgar Alan Poe, I would even write that during the book, but I found it more interesting for the reader to get here and discover this, and secondly: I am passionate about Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire), by George RR Martins (being one of the tripods of my writing, along with with Dan Brown and Sidney Sheldon), and as the crow is an animal extremely present in this work, here is my simple tribute between the lines.

The book was initially supposed to be a separate quadrilogy in: Book 1 — The Last Christian on Earth — Book 2 — Days of a New Tomorrow — Book 3 — Tomorrow Never Dies — and Book 4 — After the War — but I was afraid to add too much and create an infinite universe and then get all messed up in the story, so I decided to condense the whole story in a single and definitive volume.

This is one of the few books that the ending has always been dark, I don't see a happy ending for humanity, for me, this world is already doomed and every day that passes it gets even colder as we behave as a society, children kill their parents, parents kill their children, love getting colder and colder, so this is my way of looking at what is being built and how people don't have the ability to look at themselves and build a better world.

Some people try to build a better world, but the vast majority are achieving the opposite...
