"Dan Jun, I lost my mother at a young age and grew up in the county, where my birth father remarried and had both a son and a daughter. I neither pursued martial arts nor a career in government, and thus grew distant from them. Along with an indifferent maternal uncle and estranged paternal relatives, from childhood to adulthood, I simply reveled in pleasure and the company of friends, squandering time away. Fortunately, heaven took pity on me and let me encounter painting in my youth, giving me a place of solace."
"Living such a solitary life for twenty-six years, until the age of twenty-four, I entrusted my sincerity to the path of painting; after turning twenty-four, I entrusted my soul to you."
