Mages Are Supposed To Use Magic!

Aiden never thought that someone who wanted to steal the Gate of Life was previously trained to be the principal of the school.

"Hmm, I guess you are wondering why someone who is so bad in character was trained to be the principal, right?" Mr Bai asked.

"HM.." Aiden nodded. That was what he was indeed thinking.

"The truth about the mater is, he wasn't always this way. Something happened and that transformed him!" Mr Bai said.

"During the time that Mr White was a student here in this school, he wasn't the most popular or strongest person!"

"He wasn't the strongest? Who was then?" Ace asked in confusion.

"It was Andras!"

"Andras?"

"Yes. Andras was the strongest and the most popular student in the school closely followed by Mr White. In fact, he was believed to be the most talented person in the entire school..."

"However, there was a problem with his moral character. He was extremely arrogant and liked to brag about his achievement. On the other hand, Mr White was rather meek and humble."

"If Andras was known as the strongest and the most talented person in the entire generation of students in this school at that time then how did he become like this?" Ace asked.

"Hmm, this was where everything started." Mr Bai shook his head as he narrated. "During the Magic awakening that year something surprising happened. Andras was the first person to take the test and he awakened fire power which was very befitting for his identity. On the other hand, Mr White awakened the water affinity. After this, the talent test was taken and surprisingly, Andras the first person to take the test awakened a low green aptitude. At that moment, he was declared as the most talented." "However, just then, Me White took bid test and came out with a bright green aptitude —a talent higher than Andras! Mr White was then declared as the most talented person."

"Having his glory taken away that way would definitely make even me mad!" Aiden said as he nodded.

"Yes, that was what happened. However that was my what made him a villain. What happened next was what truly did."

"The principal had actually promised Andras to make him the principal. However, after seeing Mr White's talent, he decided to make him the principal instead. This was what broke Andras and he left the academy in anger saying that he would get his revenge," Mr Bai explained.

"Oh, I see. It must be that he trying to get back at Mr White for what happened. I still don't understand one thing though, why didn't the principal's gang up on him when he appeared. At least, I think it would be much more better that way," Ace declared.

"True!" Aiden also nodded in agreement. Since, they were all principal's, it means that they must all be of the same level of power. By sending an additional three people who would help Mr White, the fight would have ended by now.

"Oh, so that is what you are thinking?" Mr Bai smiled as he shook his head. "It's not like we don't want to help but we simply can't."

"Simply can't?" Aiden muttered in confusion.

"Yes, why do you think Mr White was so happy when he saw that you had a golden aptitude for your magic power?" Mr Bai asked Ace.

"Because it would help me climb faster and get above most people?" Ace answered.

"Good! Those who have a green aptitude have the potential to reach mid ascension realm minimum. Those who have green aptitudes are said to have the ability to hit mid mortal realm by the minimum! And low ascension realm at their maximum potential. Mr White is currently at 1st realm of ascension and hence he has hit his maximum potential." Mr Bai explained.

"Oh, I see," Aiden nodded seemingly having understood something. He finally understood why Mr White was so desperate to find a student. The truth about the matter was that He had simply hit his maximum potential and hence he was Ted to impart his skills and everything he learned into his disciple and since Ace had a golden aptitude, he filled that role perfectly.

"I don't understand. How does all this relate to the fact that you can't help Mr White fight Andras off?" Ace asked.

"It does relate. In fact it is the main reason why we can't help. Unlike most other professions , talent is much more required in becoming mages. Unlike Mr White who awakened a green aptitude, all the other principal's awakened a brown aptitude. People with brown aptitude can reach mid mortal realm by the minimum or peak mortal realm by the maximum." Mr Bai answered.

"Oh, I see. So since Mr White awakened a higher aptitude, his cultivation is much higher than yours?" Ace asked making Mr Bai frown. Nevertheless, he still continued and answered the question.

"True. That is a reason. I am only at peak mortal realm just like the other principals. Mr White knows this and that was why he told us too stand here and protect you. At least we can do that!" Mr Bai explained.

"Oh, good!" Ace commented seemingly shocked by the story.

************

*Boom.... Boom... Boom!*

As Aiden and Ace continued to speak, the fight had already reached it's climax. At this moment, Mr White looked rather still intact. If one were to look at him, they wouldn't even realise that he just had a fist fight with someone.

On the other hand, Andras looked to be in a worse position. He had blood flowing from his lips and he seemed to be heavily injured. Without doubt, Mr White seems to have won this fight.

"Andras, should I tell you what to do? Or do you want to scram yourself?" Mr White asked.

"Hmph! Don't get too cocky because you won a fist round. Mages are supposed to fight with their magic!" Andras snorted angrily as he pointed his finger at Mr White.
