Prologue

"Where is it?!"

A small, scared voice called.

"Please be safe! Please!"

A small and thin teenage girl could be seen rumaging through the huge clumps of ferns that surrounded her. Her bright, messy, yellow hair braded behind her back, her freckled face covered by a worn down straw hat.

Searching through the luscious ferns, she was feeling around for a small crecent moon pendant that she had lost. The chirps of birds and clicking of crickets had surrounded the trees around her.

After searching for agonizingly stressful hours which had felt like days, her thin fingers managed to grasp what she had been looking for.

"Oh thank Arata that it's here!"

The small girl cried with relief. Her pendant was emitting a faint purple glow. Holding the pendant with tenderness, the girl could not let herself cry now. She had to get out of this forest. Turning, she navigated her way out of the ferns until she had entered a clearing that spaced horizontally. A dirt path from the East towards the West.

The path itself, was drenched in thick red blood. A carriage that had seemed to turn red from all the blood, had been overturned unto the side. As if a fight or a massacre had taken place.

"We need you to wear these simple peasant clothes for your safety Young Miss. We do not want others to know who you are."

A tall middle-aged man wearing a butler's outfit had spoken.

"Yes Richard..."

Replied a girl with braded yellow hair. The two were in a magnificent dome shaped carriage with azul seats and a red table in the middle. The walls were red with yellow symbols embedded into them.

The sound of horses trotting emitted throughout the entirety of the carriage. The carriage was being pulled by two majestic horses with snow white bodies. The horses were covered with a shining gold armour that encased their bodies. A heavily armed man was holding the reigns of the horses. He wore a gold and blue armour that dazzled in the sun. He had a crossbow that slung over his shoulder and unto his back. Two heavily armed guards were walking on the left of the carriage.

Two more on the right, and two on the back who were following the carriage. Each one of the guards had the same kind of armour that dazzled in sunlight but they had huge swords that hung in their scabbards attached to their waists. Golden bows could be seen slung over the shoulders of every guard. The group was traveling through a forest by a clear path straight down the middle.

Trees surrounded their left and right. Each and every one of the guards were on the lookout. Watching for the slightest danger that could disrupt the Young Miss that safetly resided in the carriage.

Little did they know, a group of paid assassins that were clad in all black were tailing the carriage in sight of who was residing inside of the highly guarded carriage. This would change the future completly. Raising his hand, one of the assassins was getting ready to signal the others into formation to attack every guard at once. Thrusting his arm downwards, the assassin signaled for the hunt to begin.

The assassins had perfectly timed their kills. Almost each and every one of them had leaped off of their trees, and on to their respective targets. Killing almost all of the guards simultaneously and with deadly precision. Some of them missed, which resulted in a vicious combat between the two parties.

Sensing something amiss, the butler stepped out of the carriage only to witness a brutal scene of assassins stabbing and killing the guards. He quickly ran back into the carriage to warn the Young Miss in hopes of saving at least her life. Because he knew that even if he survived, her father would have him executed if his daughter was not safely to her destination.

"Young Miss! Please hide in the hidden compartment!"

The butler had taken the seats and folded them up, which revealed a hidden area that was only small enough for a person the size of the Young Miss. After securing her safety, he bit his thumb and started to draw a runic magic circle with his own blood. After a couple minutes, he managed to finish, putting his hands together as if he was praying. He silently thanks the guards for buying enough time for him to summon. Soon a bright light was seen from the carriage and a giant snake had appeared where the runic circle once layed.

The snake was over 20 ft long, it had a blue and black scale pattern that followed through its head all the way down to the tip of its tail. Emerald eyes that were filled with pride and arrogance had shown through the bronze helmet that the snake bore. Large fangs that jutted out of the mouth as if they were huge knives.

"Oh great snake of vengence! Please lend me your power to stop these awful barbarians! I offer myself as your host and their bodies as fuel. Devour them all!!!"

The snake hissed and busted through the top of the carriage which was no longer moving due to the horses had been slain by the lead assassin.

"Where the hell did that summon come from!?"

Cried an assassin as he watched the snake land on top of his teamate, crushing them to death. The snake then quickly slithered over to another assassin and had bitten off his entire head in the blink of an eye. The young girl who was hiding was covering her mouth, too terrified to let a single sound escape her vocal cords.

All she could do was hope that the summon would finish off the assassins but not backstab its master like many have done before. After what seemed like hours, the girl came out of hiding to be greeted by the stench of blood. Lots and lots of blood. A giant snake was gorging on the bodies of the assassins while a very, very familier arm layed next to the carriage.

Screaming in fright, distress, and disbelief, the young girl attracted the attention of the snake which had turned around to study this scared prey. Baring its fangs, it charged at the girl with its jaws wide open as if it could swallow the young girl whole. As it came down onto the girl's neck; a small, crecent moon shaped pendant had bursted off the young girl's neck and smashed the snake in its head.

This had broken the snake's helmet and left the snake dazed. The pendant then flew off from recoil into the trees in the distance, the girl turned and ran as fast as possible to go get that pendant which was very important to her and as well as to escape the dazed snake.

After the girl dissapeared, the snake awoke from its daze. It then turned to the bloody bodies of the humans on the floor and began to feast. Flesh, bones, and all.
