Sometimes you just draw the short end of the stick. Di Tou just happens to have drawn the shortest stick. Pulled out of his life randomly. Taken by a crazy old eccentric man not as a disciple, but as a body double?! And a janitor body double no less?! Grasping a system to find... It's a JANITOR SYSTEM!? Truly, how unlucky can one get?

That was far worse than the time he had ascended to the Nascent Soul. When he ascended to the Nascent Soul, at least he still had his memories and a sense of self, even if his emotions were being dulled or diluted. Relying on his memories and an idea, he could still comprehend and understanding his relationships and re-nuture the feelings. With the Void Qi, at some point he stopped feeling and thinking altogether, simply becoming a passive observer. It was like he stopped being a person, stopped being Di Tou, and just became a camera, a pair of eyes.
