Episode 1 The Mysterious of third Voltron part 1 of 2

Intergalactic calendar: Alpha 19th,4000 UST

(Universal Standard Time)

The sovereign planet of Arus, Somewhere in the outermost edges of the Danubian galaxy.

The magnificent castle of lions stood shadowing over the calm wild plains and forests of the surrounding area-it's reflection calmly undisturbed as the strange native aquatic fish swimming within its crystal clear blue waters...the planet's twin suns slowly begins to set in the west-the sky starting to darken with the burnt orange hue of the natural Arus double sunset.

Allura crowned princess of all Arus certainly was one, who could highly appreciate the silent beauty of it the young woman had always loved this time of the day...though for the past seventeen years had held nothing but dark days both she and her world-Allura had only been only a few days old when the Drule empire had first invaded Arus...a fact that made the princess feel half guilty...the young woman knows that was actually King Zarkon, who ordered the invasion is the true one to blame for the ruination of Arus and not her...still that was a small comfort.

Allura sighed calmly closed her eyes with a quick breath in then out before feeling a hand on her left shoulder,"… princess?" a gentle voice says softly-princess Allura opened her eyes and turned to face an older-rounder woman wearing appearing what appeared to be a turn of the 19th-century maid's uniform…her dark brown hair done up in a small bun style.

"…Yes Nanny-"the princess says with a flimsy smile on her face, Allura paused cautiously studying the woman's face-the princess could read the worried expression on her face," oh sorry nanny...just...thinking!" princess Allura says with an audible sigh in her voice-Nanny's brow raised skeptically,"…come on now deary…I've taken care of all your sisters since they were born and had served your mother's family long before that-"the older woman told the younger one with a kind and encouraging smile,"…so you don't have to play the strong lead with me...at least not when we're alone!" she said warmly welcoming the young open up and confide in her.

Allura quickly opened her mouth to speak...but all that comes out is an audible gasp of shock as her ocean blue eyes go wide with a look of startled confusion.

Nanny's beady brown eyes soon widened as well as she quickly sees a large unidentifiable object quickly falling from the sky-the castle's security alarms almost instantaneously blurred to life with aloud siren-like noise.

"…Attention all members of the Voltron force-"the princess's chief minister and main adviser Coran voice bellows through the castle's intercom system,"…we have an unidentifiable craft of undetermined origin!" the man announced."'undetermined origin'?"the princess echoed puzzled…wasn't it the drule?… and if not them…the galaxy alliance?…these thoughts came almost instinctively to the princess-but she merely shook her head and merely hurried to the castle's control room to meet up with coran and the others with Nanny quickly hiking her skirt up slightly and briskly rushing to keep up with the much younger woman.

Soon enough…

Allura and Nanny arrived at the control room where Coran and the four other members of the Voltron force (Keith, Lance, Hunk, and Pidge), already there waiting-the five men all turned facing the giant surveillance screen." what the heck is that?"Allura scarcely heard Hunk say in an almost hushed whisper-for a while Allura merely listened patiently as the five quickly go back and forth about the image-a humanoid-shaped robot only a foot bigger than one of the five lions…though that may merely simply since the lions were bipedal...upon further examining of the mysterious robot-there other similarities between this mysterious foreign mecha and the black lion of Voltron...such as it mostly black color scheme...but with fewer traces of red and a sword replacing the sharp-pointed alisee cross...but was also another symbol on the robot's right arm-though it was not very clear as the image only show so much.

"Princess?"Keith says turning his head back slightly with a lukewarm smile.

Allura nodded in acknowledgment of the Voltron captain before quickly turning to face the older man with plain brown hair that was beginning to gray around the edges and a bushy curved mustache that covered a good part of his upper lip-Allura quickly took another glance at the black mecha-the Arusian Princess looks to her royal advisor in hopes of gaining any form of answer as just what this mysterious robot...but more importantly where it came from.

"Coran, what is that?"I asked puzzled

"Yeah...it kinda looks like a robotic gladiator?"Pidge said sounding half-stunned

"Hey, gang...I think somethin's wrong with ol'Nanny!?"Hunk says with a worried expression plastered on his face as pointed a finger to Allura's left side.

Allura looked to Nanny…the elderly woman haven collapsed onto her knees and frantically began to pray loudly the grand celestial goddess Bedea…as well as the other lesser gods and goddesses of the Arusian religion."…Nanny-"the princess says softly…but the older woman was almost hysterical to notice.

"...what's wrong with Nanny?" Lance asks pointing to the elderly woman now knelt down trembling on the floor.

Coran quickly went over to Nanny-who was still frantically speaking in the Arusian native language…from the way that the old woman was sounding as if the end of the world was at hand." Coran what is-"princess Allura began to ask before Coran abruptly cuts her off,"-I will explain later your highness…for now you and the other must investigate our unexpected visitor !" the older man told his ruler and semi-surrogate daughter…the stern-urgent tone of his voice being enough to dash any further questions she may have had for the time being.

Allura nodded understandingly,"…well boys…what are we waiting for?" she said sarcastically.

"Right!!" the rest of the Voltron team replied back

Coran soon helps Nanny carefully back onto her feet-the five pilots soon raced to the five doors to the lions,"…so the Voltron of the unknown regions has finally been awakened!"Coran says somewhat cryptically as he watches the five lions quickly launch from their dens.

Soon enough…

The lion force shortly arrives at the location of the downed Mecha-the damage left in its wake plain for all to see; Allura almost couldn't believe what she was seeing...there was a mass crater that was at least a mile wide with crooked trees uprooted in its wake.

The five members of Team Voltron quickly split up to more effectively scout the immediate area,(Keith naturally opting to go with Allura), the Arusian princess slyly raising a brow in suspicion,"...you know I m perfectly capable of taking care of myself!" she says almost pouting-Keith raised his hands offensively." I know, I know...still better safe than sorry right!" he says with an awkward smile on his face as looked to the others for back up...but the three other men simply pretend to look away.

Allura pauses giving what the Voltron leader said a great deal of thought before lightly nodding in agreement." alright Keith ...you other boys be careful...we don't what this thing is or where it came from!?" the other members of the Voltron force all nodded agreeingly before finally splitting up go search the surrounding woods...Lance choosing to be the one to stay behind and examine the mecha more thoroughly.

An hour and a half later...

Lance quickly whistles calling the rest of the team back over to him and the black mecha."...I'm going to take a wild guess Lance and say that little guy in your arms is the pilot of this thing!?" Keith said pointing to the unconscious boy nestled in Lance's arms." yeah he has to be...look at his uniform."Pidge noted, "yeah...not to meant that strange symbol on his chest!"Hunk added,"...' Alpha'? "Allura said raising a curious brow-the others looking to her in confusion."Alpha?"Keith echoed confused,"...as in the first letter of the greek albeit?"Allura slowly shook her head,"no...it's the ancient Arusian word for 'leader'!" the princess explained plainly.

The five Voltron force almost immediately began to wonder just who was this strange boy truly was?

meanwhile...

On the other side of the galaxy...

Thunder booms with the piercing kaws of scaly-vulture-like creature quickly scatter before the sinister fortress-like castle of the evil King Zarkon.

Inside its darkened halls-an easy fear begins to take root; the witch Haggar falls to her knees in abject horror...her familiar cat frantically hissing as the sound of glass shattering against the floor of the black marble stone.

King Zarkon and Prince Lotor both stared at Haggar's crystal ball in absolute dread at what they saw.

"No...it-it cannot be!"Lotor says with wild panic in his eyes

"...But it is my son...the Voltron of unknown regions has arrived in the Danuban galaxy-"the king of doom paused swallowing down his fear."...I fear it may mean the death of us all!"
