The regrets

Now that Maggie had remembered everything, she could easily go to the afterlife and across the river of the dead; But I do not know why she was still there. She should have left as soon as possible.

It was challenging for me to explain that Maggie was there. Jonathan sat on the floor next to Maggie. I approached the two and sat next to Maggie. Maggie was silent and crying softly. "Can you read my mind now?" She said to me.

Jonathan stood up and said, "Is Maggie really here? I can't believe this happened to me."

- "Yes, Maggie has been with you all this time. She remembers well how you betrayed her. She must go to the afterlife as soon as possible; otherwise, her soul will be forever trapped in the world of the living, and she can not be in peace."

Jonathan sat down next to Maggie again and said, "I promise to avenge Maggie's death. I used to think she killed herself. But now I realize that even if she had killed herself, I am responsible for her death because of her heartbroken, but you said Elika killed her. How can I be a doctor who did not understand this?"

- "Regretting the past is no use to you or Maggie. You are certainly a sinner, and you must answer to God for your improper actions, but now you must do something so that Maggie can forgive you and she rest in peace. Because of your sin, Maggie and her child dead."

"Aiden, my daughter was lovely. If she were born, she would be a happy and successful person. I loved Jonathan," Maggie told me when she heard me talking about her child.

Maggie acted as if Jonathan was not there. She completely ignored her husband.

- "You're a kind person; I'm sure you can talk to Jonathan for a moment."

-" No, I can not."

- "He's sorry. He even wanted to kill himself for you."

- "He did not realize his sins. It was I who made Jonathan realize his mistakes."

- "I know, but you have to forgive him that you to calm down and go to your daughter."

- "Aiden, don't talk to me as if I were a child. This kind of behavior makes me angry."

- "Forgive me, Maggie; please just think about forgiving Jonathan for a moment, the day you got married. Think of those pink roses and purple orchids, the spring breeze that blew on your face, and the altar. Think of the church, remember your first kiss under that blossoming tree, think of spring, is most of the good things in your life happened in spring.

"How do you know that?" Jonathan said in surprise.

"He has read your dirty mind," Maggie said quickly.

I laughed. I was pleased to be able to get Maggie to talk to Jonathan.

Jonathan got up again. His face was pale with fear. I read in his mind that he had heard Maggie's voice clearly. I asked him, "What happened?"

- "I heard Maggie's voice."

- "What did she say?"

- "Don't you know?"

- "I know, but I want to know what are you heard?"

- "She said you read my mind."

- "Well, then you heard right."

I started laughing and said to Maggie, "Well done, girl. Now you can tell him whatever you want. He will definitely hear your voice."

Maggie stood next to Jonathan. She insufflated in his face, " You feel cold? This is the state I have been in all this time," she said softly in his ear.

Jonathan was speechless in fear. Maggie said to me, "What's going on in her brain?"

- "He is terrified."

- "Are you scared, Jonathan? I was scared all this time. I could not remember anything, and I could only find Aiden after months of displacement. I did not remember anything. Now, after several months, all those painful memories come to me. You reminded me. You slandered me and did not even hold a memorial service for me. You captured me in this world. You betrayed me, and Elika brutally killed my daughter and me, and you are still in a relationship with that woman."

- "I do not know why I betrayed you. I loved you. I fell in love with you the first time I saw you in the hospital. Whenever looked at you., I felt giving me the world. I do not know how I betrayed you."

Maggie asked me again, "What's in this man's dirty mind?"

- "Believe me, he is telling the truth. I think he was possessed by the evil, dark spirit of Elika."

- "But living humans can do so?!"

- "Yes. Many times people do so many evil deeds that their souls become evil, and they can poison other people. Elika also has evil souls."

"Can she forgive me?" Jonathan asked in surprise.

- "I do not know. She must decide for herself. She must overcome her sense of revenge on you so that she can travel across the Death Bridge to the afterlife."

- "Maggie, please forgive me or do not forgive me at all. Just get rid of the thought of taking revenge on me. I promise to tell everyone that you did not kill yourself and what a good person you were."

Maggie shouted angrily, "Do you think I care how people think of me? I lost my daughter. I lost my life, my mother, and all the trust I had in you."

Maggie was crying out loud. Jonathan turned around to her voice and said, "I wish I could see you. I wish I had never been caught in Elika's poisonous words. I wish our child would be born and see all the beauties of this world. I will suffer for the rest of my life, which will be the punishment for my evil deeds. I promise you that I will live a long life and think of you and our child every second of it."

Even someone like me cried because of Jonathan. I felt that regret is the most incredible human suffering and that Jonathan will be trapped in a hellish limbo of his guilt for the rest of his life.
