Right now there's about 30 to 50 of the bizarre hulk monsters coming out from the swirling void vortex.

Haruto was flabbergasted seeing ominous and disgusting giant humanoid monsters standing still like an orderly soldiers waiting for commands.

He could sense a very malicious and evil energy coming out from their bodies. And those energies were...

"The same as that black minotaurs...."

Constant red mist steaming like mad as if the hulk monsters' body was a boiling magma from the intensity of the steam and smoke.

Yes, they all so very similar that monsters he encountered back in the dungeon at Latia and yet he could also feel something different about them but didn't know what it is. He just felt something was off and not right.

"As expected, you're the one who defeated the "Betas" aren't you?"

The masked man heard Haruto's mumblings and reacted.

"Betas? What are you talking about?"

Haruto was puzzled from the foreign terms, the man said.

"Of course I meant the black minotaurs I created inside the modified dungeon located on a city called.... what was it again...Latia? Yes, that one. Those monsters were my first prototype a.k.a the "Beta" series."

"What...did you say....?"

Monsters he created? Prototype? Beta? Modified dungeon? So all of that was he's doing? He's the one causing the ruckus?

His mind was having a hard time to process all the informations he just received since it was too ridiculous. The masked man just basically said he was making a mutant monsters by using unknown method, and to say he's also messing with a dungeon's structure.

But then the monsters right in front of Haruto were....

"I was satisfied from the result of my previous experiment so right now I made a few changes. What's in front of you now are called the "Gamma" series. Made from a human being, unlike before which made by using monsters as the object kukukuku."

He cackled like a madman while dropping out a nuclear bomb on Haruto's mind so casually as if he's not even aware of what he said and how utterly inhumane that was.

'From...a human being...? Those monsters are formerly humans...?'

The masked man used human beings as test subjects the problem was from where those people came from? The answer is simple...

They were all the people kidnapped from the capital, the missing ones that recently disappearing one after another. They all captured by the group this man hired and brought inside the dimensional space of Kamui.

Captured victims, that means....

Blood left Haruto's face in an instant the moment he thought of what happened. He almost went insane but managed to think calmly before that.

That's right, he couldn't sense any familiar energy out of the Gamma monsters ahead of him. It's not definite yet. Thinking like that, Haruto decided to ask the enemy above him.

"You, where is the female knight you captured? I know she's not among them."

"Ooh? So you know of her? At first I captured her and let her be because I wanted to ask about you since you're the one who killed the Beta monsters but now that you're here that was no longer needed. I planned to have her join the other Gammas too after this."

"...."

It seemed like Lena was still alright because the man had something in store for her so the worst had not yet happened. Right now Lena was still alive and remained safe.

Even so, did he just said he wanted to turn her into those abominations too...?

"LET'S SEE IF YOU DARE!!"

*BOOM*

A golden wave of energy exploded in an instant Haruto yelled out wrathfully. He transformed into Super Saiyan and the shockwave blasted out the surroundings like a raging tornado.

The Gamma monsters were pushed back while groaning out bizarre sounds from the sheer force of energy.

The masked man was not perturbed at all by the violent blast and stood still with an amused expression behind the gray mask of him as if the chaos happening from Haruto's rage wasn't even exist.

"How scary, so this is your ability huh. That was certainly something but still not worth my time. If you wanted to stop me then you have to go through my cute Gammas kukuku."

After saying that with a mocking laugh, he descended from the air and made his way to enter the Kamui portal, passing by the horde of Gamma monsters easily without any obstructions.

"Wait..!!!"

Haruto was enraged and rushed forward to chase after the escaping hateful enemy.

But when he was getting close to the horde of monsters, they immediately blocked the way and covered the portal with their hulky bodies unlike the time the masked man passed by.

"GET OUT OF MY WAY!!"

Screaming madly, he launched a powerful energy waves from his hands to blow away all the monsters trying to disrupt him.

The powerful yellow energy cannon was fired and aimed exactly on the middle of the barricade. The monsters received the strong energy attacks with a critical hit.

*BOOOMMM*

A loud explosions occured, shattering the massive horde of gigantic monsters like a boulder being crushed into pieces and flew everywhere.

Haruto did not mind the dust and windstorm, he just continued his rush to the Kamui portal, the masked man purposely let out opened as if provoking him.

And yet the number of the monsters was just too many to deal with their large body structure. About dozens of them on the back most position remained standing to obstruct Haruto.

Gritting his teeth, he planned to blast them away with the same attack and yet just as he wanted to do that, a giant shadow covered him from above.

It was a horde of Gamma monsters he just blown away before, already fully regenerated by the red mist just like how the black minotaur was.

They leaped up high and dropped their hulky bodies together planning to squash the enemy below and prevented him from entering the Kamui.

"Tch!"

Haruto clicked his tongue and forced to jumped backwards in order to escape from the horrible air attacks of giant humanoid monsters.

The energy attack Haruto released before was by no means weak, it was even enough to cause massive injuries to Ifrit if he received the attack directly just like the Gamma monsters did.

They may not be as strong as Ifrit but they nearly reached his physical strength and even larger in size compared to the flame demon beast.

If the Gamma monsters strength was calculated, they were on the lower General rank monsters, a level just below Ifrit whose on the intermediate General rank.

Right now the masked man already entered the portal and went inside the dimensional space, leaving behind Haruto who needed to deal with the numerous Gamma monsters keep standing on his way.

He cut their bodies, smash them, crushed them and yet they kept on regenerating without end. When he tried to ignore them, they would follow him persistently while barraging him with various kind of attacks from all directions.

Launching them using kiai or energy attacks also won't work because they just ignored their injuries. The number was also too many that it was impossible to get them out of the way all at once.

'Damn it damn it damn it!!!'

Time kept ticking on and yet the distance between him and the Kamui portal was not decreasing at all in fact he began to get pushed backwards slowly, increasing the distance instead.

It's also impossible to use instant transmission as the enemies wouldn't give him a chance to concentrate on the energy and execute the technique.

Because the target was on a separate space although there's a portal opening, it was very hard to pinpoint the target energy, the farther he get from the portal, the harder it was to sense them.

He needed at least 3 minutes to completely lock on Lena's energy to which was impossible in this kind of situation. Unless Lena herself could raise her power level, allowing him to target the energy far more easily but unfortunately she's not one capable of doing that.

If this keeps up then Lena would be turned into one of the abomination monsters ahead of him. Still, he couldn't break through the horde of monsters no matter how desperate he was.

The regeneration was just too quick and they recovered almost instantly even if he destroyed them to pieces.

There's no choice...

Just as Haruto wanted to risk his life by releasing a massive explosive attack, a flurry of silver light came out from the sky, piercing through the monsters body and melted them like a hot steel touching a butter.

"Thank goodness I came here...."

A figure of woman with silver hair landed in front of him with her silver wings fully spread out.

"....Kaori?"

Haruto was shell-shocked seeing the girl suddenly appeared and helped him. The silver haired girl on his eyes was exactly Shirasaki Kaori who wasn't supposed to be here.

"Yup, it's me Haruto-kun. Did I surpsise you? hehehe."

Kaori turned his head and giggled at him with a bright smile. Haruto was still stunned but the moment she gazed at him, he returned back to his senses.

"A-Aren't you supposed to be back in the house?"

"I thought something like this might happen so I chase after you."

"...What about the others?"

"Don't worry about them, they're doing their best right now too you know? You know?"

"....Is that so..."

Haruto made a faraway gaze on the capital direction while smiling lightly.

That's right, he has reliable companions so why did he try to do anything alone? He knew everyone would have their own limit when they're alone that's what friends are for.

"Alright, go chase the enemy now Haruto-kun, I'll handle these freaky things here."

Kaori smiled and summoned both of her swords, pointing on of them to the void portal while gesturing Haruto to go.

"....Kaori, these monsters are actually-"

"I know, I can feel their souls, you don't need to say anything. Just leave this to me."

She made a grim expression while saying that the moment Haruto tried to tell her about the true identity of the Gamma monsters.

He nodded seeing the fire on Kaori's eyes while preparing himself to breakthrough the barricade with her help.

"Ah before that, here."

Kaori cast Regeneration Magic while also using the white sword of her to share her energy on Haruto, fully rejuvenating him.

Holy Sword of Gospel - Bel Rexion

It was the name of Kaori's white sword, a weapon artifact with ability to convert magic power into healing magic or also sharing the energy to other people.

"Thanks Kaori."

Haruto smiled and expressed his gratitude, feeling his body condition returned to its prime.

"Sure. Just made sure to pay me back with a lot of pat on the head later okay?" Kaori nodded, returning a smile.

Haruto just laughed hearing her cute request while also feeling happy from how reliable she was.

He only answered with a gesture while began rushing forward to the giant flesh monsters without hesitation.

Like before, they instantly went to obstruct him but right now Haruto did mind them and continue running forward as if he tried to pierce through them with his charge.

Ray of silver lights came out from behind, firing on the monsters blocking his way, melting them and opened a path.

It was Kaori who shot off her silver feathers from the wings filled with Disintegration magic.

With her help, Haruto could pass by unhindered and reached the Kamui portal in just mere ten seconds.

Glancing back while giving out his last appreciation to Kaori, he immediately entered inside, having his body swallowed by the swirling vortex.
