Tobin seemed less than eager to go to Skye Turrcotte’s party.
“I’ll meet you guys there,” Adrian called as he got into his car. “I’m going to pick up Shannon.”
“Shannon is his wife,” Tobin said as he waved, then led Aurelie to his car. Tyson left to get his girlfriend, Melissa, and Jace was met at the door by his wife, Tina.
“Is your manager going to go?” Aurelie asked.
Tobin shook his head. “No. Not a chance. He heads home to his wife, Pamela, and stays away from parties. He says it’s our time to be free of work…and if anything happens, it can’t come back on him.”
“I see his point actually,” Tobin laughed, his smile fading. “I can drive you home if you want. It’ll be late and I know you have to work in the morning.”
“I’ll go with you, if you want me too,” Aurelie said softly.
Select Hospitality’s guitar player looked torn.
“Let’s go for a little bit,” he decided. “We can always leave if it gets too much.”
“I wonder what he means by that,” Aurelie wondered to herself.
