Chapter 7: The Battle for Zorin Prime

With the discovery of the Zorin Separatists' ties to a human corporation, tensions between our two species were at an all-time high. Kaxar's government was on the brink of declaring war, and it was up to us to stop it.

We had gathered enough evidence to show that the Separatists were not acting alone, but were being funded and controlled by the corporation. We presented our findings to both the human and Zorin governments, hoping to diffuse the situation before it escalated further.

But the corporation was not willing to give up its plans so easily. They had their own private army, and they launched a surprise attack on Zorin Prime, the capital city of the Zorin government.

Our team was in the city at the time, working with Kaxar's forces to root out the Separatists. We found ourselves in the middle of a full-scale battle, with gunfire and explosions all around us.

I could hear Alice's voice in my earpiece. "Captain, we need to fall back. We're outnumbered and outgunned."

I looked around at the chaos and destruction. We couldn't abandon the Zorin people to this fate.

"No," I said firmly. "We can't let them take the city. We have to hold the line."

The odds were against us, but we fought with everything we had. We were a small team, but we had the advantage of surprise and deep knowledge of the city's layout.

As the battle raged on, we managed to push the corporation's soldiers back, taking out their leadership and disabling their weapons systems.

Finally, after hours of intense fighting, we emerged victorious. The corporation's army retreated, leaving behind a trail of destruction and death.

But the damage had been done. The Zorin government was left reeling from the attack, and the tensions between humans and Zorin had reached a new level.

As we regrouped and tended to our wounded, I couldn't help but wonder what other secrets the corporation was hiding, and what other plans they had in store. We had stopped them this time, but at what cost? And how long could we keep fighting before the inevitable war broke out?
