The Loneliness

What Erlyn said was clearly bullshit. A spoiled woman like her doing the laundry and cooking? She'd never washed her own hands after eating!

There must be a reason why she was acting like this.

And sure enough, Reynold's figure came rushing from outside and came towards Erlyn.

"Erlyn, why are you here? Didn't I tell you to wait in the car? Why did you go out?"

Reynold's tone was full of concern and affection for Erlyn.

Natalie's eyes were indifferent.

"I just want to apologize to Natalie, don't be angry with her. I know that Natalie didn't mean to do all that!" Erlyn was still kneeling on the floor pretending to cry.

What a drama queen!

Natalie smirked. "You're really good at acting, you're even willing to kneel down and make your knees hurt."

At this moment, Reynold stretched out his hand to help Erlyn up.

After that, he looked at Natalie coldly. "Natalie, what do you mean doing all that to your own cousin? Don't you know what you've done? Her future was completely ruined by you, why do you still have the heart to let her kneel like this? Are you not satisfied with destroying her life?"

The villain role was pushed towards Natalie by her own fiancé.

Natalie just looked at him nonchalantly and slapped him. Her gaze turned blank and her voice was even, "Do you believe her or me?"

Reynold's taller figure was standing right in front of Natalie, he was looking down with a piercing gaze. "Natalie, you've really changed, where's your kindness? Why did you change to be a cruel person like this? Or is this your true nature? Maybe I need to think about how our engagement goes. If someone didn't even feel bad after doing their own family dirty, there's no way I would want to experience the same thing."

Reynold was really angry. From the beginning of his relationship until now, Reynold had never yelled at Natalie. But for Erlyn's sake, he was willing to break his engagement and defend her.

Reynold stared at Natalie for a long moment, then he turned around and helped Erlyn up and out of the room.

His words had not been able to make Natalie cry anymore.

But… the world immediately fell silent because of it.

The feelings of sadness and depression engulfed the room and filled a certain someone's heart with the flames of anger and hatred.

The silence did not signify her loneliness but showed that her heart was ready.

That's right, she was ready to take revenge on those two. And she vowed never to shed another tear because of them.

However, a feeling suddenly overtook her. She felt that treading this path alone was very hard.

If she died in the middle of the road, she was afraid that no one would continue her struggle. But… if she really died, who would care?

The feeling of dying alone immediately filled her heart. When she looked back, she was surprised that she had walked out of the dressing room.

She didn't even notice that the sky had rained. The rain had soaked her body and made her look like a tramp.

Staring at the bright street lamp, her mind immediately drifted off. Nobody knew what got into her, her feet subconsciously stepped into the middle of the road.

However, after two steps, a strong force from behind suddenly pulled her.

Because of the heavy rain, a passing car honked loudly when it saw Natalie's figure. The driver immediately braked and managed to dodge her. He then stopped by the side of the road and cursed at her. "You idiot, do you want to die? If you have eyes, use them!"

The rain continued to fall, worsened by the blowing night wind which made the atmosphere even colder. In the midst of all that, Natalie was almost consumed by her loneliness. In fact… she almost committed suicide because of it.

If it weren't for someone's help, she might have moved into another realm now.

When she was scolded by the driver, she could only stare at him blankly.

Suddenly, a coat tightly covered her entire body.

Under the dim street light, she looked up and saw the face of her savior. His resolute figure still looked handsome even though his appearance was messy because of the rain.

That's right, that person was Anthony Stevano.

After giving her his coat, Anthony hugged her tightly.

The warmth of his body made Natalie wake up and come back to her senses.

Her chest felt warm and her arms around her made her feel safe.

"A princess like you doesn't deserve to be gloomy, you're better off smiling!"

Anthony suddenly caressed her cheek and said in a magnetic tone. His masculine voice echoed in her heart and brought tears to Natalie's eyes.

The man she hardly ever saw had saved her life twice!

That's right, a princess should never be sad only because of a bastard!

Didn't she promise not to bow down to anyone again? Didn't she also promise to build a bright future for herself?

That's right, she is a princess!

She's not weak!

After that, Anthony took Natalie into his car.

With the heater in the car, their cold bodies immediately warmed up.

Natalie could feel the man's heartbeat while she was still in Anthony's arms.

His strong arms were still wrapped around her, and there was no sign that the man was going to let her go soon.

David, who was driving the car, took them to an apartment building.

After the car was parked, Anthony let go of his arms and opened the door of the car.

Afraid that she would be hugged again, Natalie immediately stood up and got out of the car.

Since she had sprained her ankle earlier, Natalie almost fell as soon as she got out of the car. Before that happened, those strong arms were holding her tightly again.

Inevitably, she fell into Anthony's arms again.

As they walked down the corridor, she could see their reflection clearly.

The apartment building they came to looked luxurious, even the entrance was very large and required an electronic card and password to open it.

Anthony's slender finger tapped the number on the door and suddenly the large door swung open.

The Western-style decoration made the entrance hall of the apartment look grand and luxurious.

"Your bedroom is on the 2nd floor!"

"I need to go to the toilet for a bit!" Natalie quickly pulled away. But because of her sore leg, she walked out of breath.

"Sit down!"

Anthony took off his wet black coat and sat on the sofa with her.

Kneeling down, Anthony helped Natalie take off her high heels.

His two big hands touched her tiny feet. When he touched the bruised part, Natalie felt a stinging pain.

"Does it hurt?"

The two of them looked intimate, but Natalie still looked in pain. She could only let out an 'um' sound while closing her eyes.
