Filthy human girl

Chapter 26| Filthy Human girl

"Did you see the stir in the wind?" Her voice spoke volumes and he could sense the accusation in the pitch of her voice, even as she made herself comfortable in his room, perching her hand on top of the oak table next to her hinting that this is going to be a long conversation and she won't be easily dismissed.

"So? The human doesn't summon the wind last time I check," he gave her a sharp look, "In fact, if we are apportioning blame, it should land squarely on that rebel of a prince who has been spoilt rotten and doesn't have any plans of growing up."

"Saif is just being a child."

The King glared at her, "He is 25, When Tristan was his age he had already made his name for himself both on Earth and this realm."

"Saif isn't Tristan!" Queen Faye has never really loved the comparison. True, she loved her son to death and believe no one could truly measure to him, but she believed it was unfair to Saif, to get to live under someone else's shadow. She understood that he needed to carve his own path, sometimes she even believed his rebelliousness was borne as a result of how much he wanted to make that point.

"I don't delude myself into thinking that. Tristan won't wake any of us with the uproar of his power."

"You don't even care to figure out why his power is going haywire after some years of him not throwing tantrums with it." She wasn't backing out of this particular argument. The human was trouble, wasn't it obvious?

"Let me Guess, somehow you, Faye has managed to pin his spoilt manner of demanding for attention to the human, aye?"

"He was provoked. He had an argument with Tristan," The King looked at her, his curiosity piqued.

Saif was troublesome, way rebellious, irresponsible, and lived to break rules and anger him, all in all, a brat, but his bond with Tristan had never wavered despite their differences. Their bond was more severe than that of mere brothers.

"So he got into an argument with Tristan and that put his power into a fit?" His brow was raised.

"Yes."

"How is that the human fault, that Saif is now surprisingly picking faults and fights with his brother?"

Queen Faye, knew she wasn't truly aware of what had really gone down and had only told the King what she, with her expert knowledge, which was the report of her pet, Fandon, who was more like her shadow had reported to her but that didn't stop her from replying.

"You never asked the reason for their fight?"

"It isn't a fight if firstly Tristan is absence and Saif's head is still on top of his very foolish body but just to humor me, tell me the reason for this childish show."

"The human," Queen Faye sharply replied ignoring his dismissal of the current matter and his inability to pay heed to how serious what had happened this morning was.

How dangerous the human could be if barely three days after she regain consciousness, an argument that was unheard of between the two brothers arose yet the King treated the matter as trivialities.

A woman like her could be dangerous, a manipulator, a liar. She could only show off a lady in distress tactics that drew pity and absolute sympathy that could make Saif so charged. She knew her type because once she had been so charged for a human like Saif.

A scum. A manipulator who now Shared her palace and her Glory. She was stupid, she was naive, she believed the goodness of everyone and was on a pursuit to make sure everyone discovered it, just like Saif.

But she wasn't that girl anymore. She was a woman who now know that people were filthy, dirty, and would push anyone if it gets them forward, but there was only a little change in this definition.

That little girl in her pale gown who looked totally harmless with her feet barefoot was not just "People" she was a human. So while people were filth, she was filthier, dirtier, and should be loathed even more.

"How apt. Blaming everything that goes wrong on the human yet again. I bet if Saif decides to party in my courtyard yet again, now the human is here she would be blamed so your precious spoilt son will remain spotless."

Faye looked away, she had always pinned every one of Saif's errors on someone. The maidservants were always too flirty, their clothes revealing, he was drunk, he was angry, He was tired, the guard got his pants in a twist.

Loving a child had never been a sin, she hoped it still wasn't because her love for Saif was a fire she couldn't put out even though its Kindle had helped spoil the boy silly, she had entertained his excesses, and hidden it mostly.

So imagine her surprise when Reginald had plotted against her own son, scheming to take his life away. Failed attempts, after the other. His immortality never stopped her. Maybe she had doubted the true extent of a royal blood's power, thinking it as a myth. But finally, she had wisely quit.

There was never enough evidence to pin it on her but there was enough to get fingers pointing at her. One thing was sure, Faye knew who was after her boy's life but it never bothered her or made her love Saif less.

He had Raphael's blood flowing in his vein, his looks were glorious and flourishing, his Powers a real definition of how much of the realm flowed through him than his callous schemer of a mother.

"Nothing of the sort has ever happened, when she hadn't stepped into this palace." She propped her chin up, in what she hoped that King saw as absolute certainty and added, "She is the cause."

"Then let it be. She didn't ask to be the reason why Saif's folly is awoken."

"There is no such thing as Saif's folly!" Her voice was a little frustrated cry that echoed in the Chambers.

The King's eyes met hers and she held his stare for the briefest of second, "Saif is just most untainted and innocent."

"Leave." His voice was brisk. It was an order.

She bowed her head thrice and left his presence seething. She had been dismissed from the King's presence. She, Faye? The pride of Indiosia and all because of a filthy human girl.

The Snake leaped down from the golden sculpture, which had aided his hide in plain sight trick since his scales were of the same color.

He cackled as he rushed to his mistress, wanting to be the first to break her the news. He had watched it happen, Queen Faye, the arrogant had been dismissed because of the human.

One thing was sure, Faye was not a fan of the human and his mistress would be extremely happy of this little shame that Faye had experienced.
