C10: Tyra's Return

The day before was the first moon of the summer.

I was getting more cautious of the 'Dragon Family's Annihilation' event that was right under my nose. Fall was near. There was no sign of Tyra's return with the information, but I suspected he'd bring in anything useful.

I spent the evening gazing at the gorge from the windows of the throne room once more, wondering about my plan to survive the coming attack.

A crazy idea was already forming in my mind, and I was sure that I was not the only person preparing for an attack on the family. Melissa and Chloe had been cautious of this situation too.

A few moments later, I noticed something approaching the castle.

Small figures were climbing up the mountain beside the lake. At first, I could not see them. Merchants never came here because everyone knew they would be incinerated if they came into the Dragon Queen's territory.

However, when the figures got closer, I noticed they were not intruders on the land.

I could see the glittering blue scales even from here. And walking beside the shapeshifters were two Dragons. s

It was the Twins.

'Well shit… just in time, Tyra,' I smiled and rushed down the hallways to wake Melissa to greet Tyra and the two shapeshifters.

///

Melissa sat in the throne room with her hands crossed.

Chloe, surprisingly, did not come to the throne room to see the arrival of Tyra and hear the information he had gathered. She was working with her experiments down at her laboratory where she trained with spells and her magic.

So, I was the one standing beside Mother's throne now.

As usual, the three warriors stood in line before the Queen with Aunt Crystal by the side. However, the castle was not silent today.

"AHHAHAHA! YOU NAILED THAT CUNT OF A KNIGHT!"

The chaotic laughs of the Twins echoed all the way up the stairs of the silent castle. Melissa was rubbing her forehead with her fingers, probably thinking about sending the Twins out on another mission.

"Speak, Tyra. What are the rumors you've heard?"

Tyra nodded.

"Well – I have not found much information on this matter, my Queen. But I did find a clue about when this will take place," Tyra answered.

Melissa furrowed her eyebrows. "Hm, even that is enough at this point. Tell me about it."

"A strange traveler in a white cloak had told me that such a rumor was there. She talked like one of those guild warriors nowadays." Tyra continued.

'Guild warriors? Probably a player who got spoiled about the event somehow,' I thought inwardly, rubbing my chin.

"She told me that she had heard rumors about such an event taking place in the coming Fall. She says it's about the annihilation of the Dragons. And she said that it would take place in the coming Blood Moon."

'Blood Moon?' This information was news to me. 'Hm… so it's going to be an epic fight with the red sky as the background. It would be a nice stream to watch.'

"Blood Moon? That's in the Fall indeed… but – did you not find any information about who would be attacking us?" Melissa asked again, standing up from the throne.

Tyra lowered his eyes. "Sadly, that was impossible to find out – most of the people in Arion were clueless about such an attack even, your grace." A drop of sweat ran down Tyra's forehead as he said this.

Melissa's grip tightened.

"I am sorry, my Queen –"

"No." Melissa stopped Tyra. "You've done enough, Tyra. You can take your leave now," Melissa replied with a sigh, calming herself down.

She sank back into the throne and lay her head against the seat.

'Hm, the Blood Moon? Well – now that we know the exact date… things will get easier,' I thought.

As Tyra and his girls walked down the staircase with Aunt Crystal behind them, I remembered something that I wanted to know about. No one in the castle would know it, but Tyra should know about this since they traveled for months in Arion.

I flew down the stairs and landed before Tyra, seizing their movement.

"Prince?" Tyra asked, surprised. Even the two animagi girls peeked at me from Tyra's back, curiously. "Why are you –"

"I have a question to ask you," I declared.

"Go ahead, my Prince," Tyra replied with honor.

"The Divine Five? Have you heard anything about them…?"

Tyra's eyebrows furrowed. "Ah – I have, of course. They are the world's greatest warriors."

"Yeah, those five. Have you heard anything new about them on your journey here?"

The half-blood rubbed his chin and tried to recollect the scattered memories he had. "Hm hm, yes, I have heard a few things from the taverns. What is it that you wish to know?"

"The newest member of the Divine Five. Do you know who he is?"

Tyra went silent upon hearing this. He was probably confused as to how I knew this. Even the animagi girls shared gazes from shock after hearing me say this. The only person who was unamazed was Aunt Crystal, who was simply sticking her metal-gloved finger in her ear with a bored look on her face.

"The newest member, hm. I have a vague memory of somebody mentioning him but –"

"I have heard of him," the animagi girl with the fluffy white tail broke into the conversation from behind.

"Cassie? Oh, do tell us then," Tyra replied to her.

"Um um – My prince, allow me to explain," Cassie began. "The latest member of the Divine Five was someone called Bloodberry, a knight with incredible curse power… even though he dealt with curses, I heard he was a man of honor. According to the travelers I spoke with, Prince, he is the new member of the Divine Five," she said, shyly stepping away with a hurried bow.

I smiled upon hearing this. "Thank you, guys. Thank you very much." I flew back up the stairs after acquiring the information I needed.

Bloodberry. This was the first time I'd heard of such a person in Arion Online, but the Divine Five never chose a disappointing member except for Jay. I was excited to see who this new player was.

'Bloodberry, eh? Let's see if you can truly replace me, Bloodberry.'

New milestones folks!
