Fighting Draco

NOWEL

The entire castle was silent, but I must be vigilant for the monsters that lurk in the shadows. Say a prayer and demons would flee. I believed. I chanted a holy prayer of protection as I silently headed for Iris's room.

I was lucky to get to her room without getting hurt. My eyes combed every corner of the room and I was worried when I couldn't find her. I frowned at the stench of blood, something cold with a sharp edge had slight contact with my back. . .I froze.

Oh lord.

"Turn around or do anything funny...and die." I gasped at the sound of that darkness. The one that belongs to no other than a nasty member of that demonic association. "Speaking of death, what kind do you prefer?"

I blinked.

"Being burnt alive? Torturing your weak body till your intestines gush out?"

I turned around and was lucky enough to dodge his swing. I caught him unaware as I knocked off the dagger from his venomous grip. He ferociously growled at me. I moved right, and I became alarmed when he kicked the sword from my hand. I hurried over to get it, but I was too late. I hissed as he forcefully yanked me towards himself with my hair. I pawed at the grip he had on my hair, but he didn't let go.

I kicked him where the sun did not shine, and he let go of me to moan in pain. I wasn't expecting his quick recovery as he grabbed my neck and choked the life out of me.

He pushed me with such force that I collided with Iris's little bookshelf, landed harshly on the floor, and saw the many stars of heaven.

He came closer and kicked me in the ribs. I groaned in response to the immense pain it caused me.

There's only one option left for me if I want to make it out here alive. And that is...Combat.

My sword betrayed me. I bet my fists wouldn't.

"Nasty. Little. Bitch." He spat in his deep dark voice. "Your punishment is death."

He brought out a new shiny dagger that reflected even in the moonlight. He smirked as he stalked toward me.

No. I have to do something. I can't just let him kill me like this. I can't give up now, not when Iris is still missing.

Before he could stab me to death I kicked him low again. He bent over in pain and the dagger fell off his hands. I stood up and went over to pick up my sword. But this is not the time to use it.

I want to see how far I could go with combat. He rushed over to me in anger and was about to punch me, but I dodged it. He targeted so many other parts of my body to punch but I elude all. I avoided another hit and returned three powerful ones on his ugly face. I elbowed his chest multiple times and black blood spilled out from his mouth and stained the carpet.

I applied my left knee on his abdomen with enough force to cause him to gag, wrapped my arms tightly around his fat neck, dragged him down a little and I stabbed him successfully in his throat with a dagger I was able to pull out from him. That did it and ended his miserable life.

He collapsed on Iris's plush carpet and stained it with his dirty blood. I wanted to throw up at the amount of blood that gushed out from his throat.

Who knows how much innocent blood he has forced down that same throat that caused his blood to be so dark? It's just too sinful to behold.

I fell on my butt as I tried to catch my breath. One down and so many more to go. I can do this!

I pulled myself up and staggered out of Iris's room with my sword.

If Iris is not in her room, then where could she..."Nowel!"

I stilled at the sound of that voice. It echoed throughout the dark halls, and my heart began to pound hard in my chest. I turned around to see my little sister, Iris. A knife to her throat and ready to be split into halves.
