Captured

A small and cute person which looks identical to Hari appeared, they might look the same but as Yuto saw the differences in their personality, Hari being a more hyper and excited individual and definitely doesn't seem as organised, haru gives him the vibe of a quiet shy girl which is organised, basically the putting the two of them as total opposites in terms of personalities.

"Yo I'm Haru and the total opposite to my ignorant twin over here"

She looks over at Hari and gives her a smug smile from the nailed down impression she made to the director and Yuto

"don't act like you're better than me! I have made way more breakthroughs than you!"

"Pipe down you immature kid, don't forget that I atleast have something called logic which you do not possess"

"mind you, i'm honestly more useful than you"

Hari pouts at Haru and storms off to the testing chambers to get away from the embarrassment she was forced into, Yuto and the Director both look at her and just stare in awe of the scene that unfolded in front of them.

"Don't mind her, Everytime I pull out the I'm older card she gets this way, Twins yet I was out of the womb first so I claimed the title naturally"

The smug smile still on her face as she explains why she is superior to Hari, there seems to be a bit of a sibling fight between the two, looking at just this moment alone, it looks like it was stretching more many years before this, Liu Fang finally steps in to stop this useless fighting.

"Enough Haru, you will be deducted for the problem you have caused, and this time getting on your knees won't help you like before so don't try it"

Haru whines as she also walks back to her work in the other room, her introduction and smug attitude were done presenting themselves so she has other places to be.

"Let's carry on to the experimentation chambers, be warned that you will be seeing shadows and many harmful experiments done, Yuto is not a shadow so no need to worry about any harm being done to him, I will also say why I need Yuto as experimentation and not anyone else"

They walk into the experimentation chambers where they are once again greeted by Hari who is just staring at the shadow inside the enclosed chamber, the shadow was rampaging inside and trying to break free but the structure of the cage was built especially for this occasion and would not succumb to such pitiful attacks.

"This is the only shadow captured in existence, no camps from the north, east or west have captured one, matter of fact you all come from the south right?"

"Yes we do"

"You are aware of the Camp Sulga massacre right? nobody was left alive, the place is now a restricted zone due to the recent shadow groups forming in there, we are starting to believe that camp Sulga is turning into a shadow den of some sorts, our network traffic indicated a group of people that came from that direction"

"It would be most unpleasant to have a shadow den of any sorts, hordes of shadows are impossible to deal with and also the population of camp Sulga was quite vast which just added way more threats to worry about, are you trying to suggest were from camp Sulga?"

The director was blunt about his question, he wasn't aware of any people which he saw throughout the journey or neither was Yuto, this all would have happened at night where they were both asleep thinking nobody would try to go towards that direction after hearing the camp's destruction.

"I just think it's a huge coincidence, a group of survivors coming from the direction of camp Sulga which appear in the city just a day after, It's not like it matter anyway, this shadow comes from the area around the city not under our control, it was a very recent shadow which emerged but due to us having him for a year almost now, the corruption is fully taken over him"

Yuto took note of that info carefully into his mind

'The shadow was a guy before the corruption took over him, is she suggest the idea that shadows are still humans after they corrupted or that they lose everything other than their bodies'

These were both fair assumptions made by Yuto to the effect of what the corruption did to the human body and its mind.

"Liu Fang and Hari let me both ask you a question, Are humans still inside the shadow like mentally"

Liu Fang and Hari both looked at Yuto in a serious way, this was a strong indicator that this indeed wasn't good news

"LET ME EXPLAIN THIS TIME, Yuto so I did an experiment with this shadow a while back which tests whatever you said, we found out the guy's identification and all the information from him, contact his family and tried to gather as much information as possible, We had something in mind to test, so we asked for a toy or something very nostalgic to him to be handed over"

"You tested to see if he would pick something he got used to..."

"Indeed Yuto, we got a simple wooden car which a child would play with, we then got other toys and objects from around the city to test this theory, To make this wasn't a fluke we got over 20 different objects and toys to put into the chamber with him, we carried it over to the lab and opened the chute which sent all 20 of the items in at the same time"

"Did it work...?"

"Well after a couple minutes, the shadow due to him being a fresh and new minded corrupted human, he didn't instantly rip all of the items into shreds, fun fact actually... Shadows are less aggressive to objects than humans so that's why he didn't rip them all instantly"

Liu Fang steps in

"Stop getting off track Hari and tell them the results"

"SORRY! So the results were that he picked that same wooden toy car which he had in his childhood, we needed to make sure this wasn't a mistake so we waited and looked at its behaviour and it was seen to exhibit to play with the toy like it would being a child"
