A girl stood outside the inn known as the Musician's Rest. She seemed to be waiting for someone.
Her patience paid of when a wolf-like creature approached her, only to turn into a gruff looking man.
"Hello Ancient One, why are you in this place. We both know you aren't allowed beyond the barrier."
She grinned. "Please, you think that flimsy thing can hold me? Ridiculous. But you need not worry, I'm here for a simple reason, to undermine Kasimata."
"So you'll be helping the Perfected one then?"
"Her name's Diana, as I'm most definitely sure everybody in the entire world knows, don't call her something that takes away her identity, it's bad enough you do that to me. But yes, I'm here to help those cute mortals."
The gruff looking man looked at the woman, her green eyes made him want to whimper. He knew that if she felt like it, she could destroy this town and the only thing that could stop her were one of the 8 primordial dragons.
"You do know two of them are immor..." He was cut off by her starting to laugh.
"Immortal, you call that immortality? I may not be on the level of gods and I might have some restrictions but what I have is immortality, what they have is the watered down version others of my race bear. Nothing but a copy of what my grandfather once created."
They looked at each other, the girl smirked before turning around. She walked away and the gruff man finally breathed in.
"I'll never get used to her."
The girl started roaming the streets, looking around for certain races of people.
"Weird, this is one of the most visited cities in the world but I can't seem to find any people with dragonblood."
She thought for a second then looked up and approached the center of the city. She looked around before entering what seemed to be a religious building of sorts.
People were huddled together, looking in fear at the woman who entered.
Multiple wolves surrounded the girl, snarling at her in hopes that she left.
"Really, you're trying to hide them from me? Pathetic hiding spot. You should've just forced them to stay indoors, I wasn't going to break and enter just to get a bit stronger. But now? Oh, you've made a big mistake, this amount of dragonkin is amazing. Now, be a good pack of dogs and retreat, if you don't, I'll destroy your entire pack."
Her eyes gleamed red, showing that she was serious. She let go of a small bit of the magic she was keeping in, releasing the closest thing to an aura that exists in this world.
The wolves backed down, knowing that she could truly do it. To them, their pack was more important than anything else.
"Now, we can do this in a way where everybody lives or we can do this in a way were everybody dies. What do you guys want?"
The few dragonkin holding makeshift weapons dropped them, understanding what the best course of action was.
"If you would be so kind, make a small cut in your arm, just enough for a bit of blood to flow out? then hold your arm out to me."
They did as they were told, when they were done, the girl started chanting.
"Ju long zhizi, rang ni de xieye liudong, ziyang wo de buxiu!"
The blood started flowing from their small wound.
"Oh, I should apologize, I lied about people surviving."
When she walked out of the church, the wolves were dead and the dragonkin no more the dry husks.
She walked back to the inn, have an air of satisfaction around her.
--------
The gruff man rushed back to his packs base. He looked at the man who led him, his alfa.
"M'lady, I've failed, I'm sorry and shall accept any punishment you give."
The woman sitting on something that resembled a bear waved him away.
"Not to worry my dearest child. It could not be foreseen that a child of the elder family would come here, even Kasimata would not be able to.
But it also seems as if the child wants to fight a god, if we are lucky, she will lose and cease to be a problem."
The woman stood up, her face a mess of scars, both of her eyes no longer there but she walked as if she could see perfectly.
She approached an altar behind her and started playing on a harp-like instrument.
She sang a song of prayer, a song that she hoped would reach the God who gave her sight in sound, who allowed her to perceive the world again as if her eyes were still there.
The gruff man sang along, praying that the ancient girl would be taken care of.
Suddenly, his alfa turned her head towards the inn, a shocked look on her face.
--------
The girl sat in the bar enjoying a bit of meat, soft and fresh.
Suddenly, she felt something happen, a wave of dizziness befell her as she fell fainted.
When she opened her eyes, she was kneeling before me with her heart in her hand.
when I ate it, she was shocked.
She was immediately thrown out of the dream afterwards, but she knew what it meant.
The ancient ritual of her kind was something that was burned into their very bloodlines.
For it to happen was rare. Even though it was rare, when it happened, the disered effect tended to be achieved, although that was not always the case.
She herself hoped that that dream was what truly would happen for if it was not, her death would come sooner than expected.
