Eren had a bad feeling while running to the wall. But he couldn't say that he knew what was happening. His enhanced perception and headache trying to crack his brain meant that something terrible was coming this time.

A pain worse than ever before was screaming at him in his head. "How long have I been trying to tell you, idiot!"

Eren breathlessly entered the section on the inside side of the wall. But he couldn't believe his eyes. Huge creatures were in the sky.

Eren looked at them as if they were creatures from mystical legends. He couldn't believe his eyes.

"Angels?

Demons?"

Seeing the creatures with white and beautiful wings, Eren felt the throbbing on his forehead increasing. Instinctively, texts appeared in his head.

Danger!

Escape!

Don't Progress!

THEY .... AT A HIGHER LEVEL!

His subconscious, using both the language of Eren's old world and human sentences, was begging him. His brain tried to tell him everything to make Eren escape. It was like artificial intelligence.

But the problem is that Eren was too afraid to escape. His whole body started to tremble when he saw the bodies of the creatures. It was as if a higher life form or a creature was instinctively looking at him and commanding him to stop.

Eren pulled his eyes away from the view due to pain. He tried to make a choice. He was torn between approaching the wall and running away backward. It would be almost impossible to move forward. Escape was easy and safe.

[I don't want to die but...]

But as soon as his friends came to his mind, he tried to walk like the stupid manga characters he had criticized before. He was in a stupid situation despite he said "my life comes first" before. Still, Eren continued walking.

The pain he felt in his head increased enough to prevent even his vision. His balance was disturbed. His fever rose and his body started to tremble. Stone stairs did not seem safe. Even the simple act of climbing stairs became impossible under a powerful creature.

Realizing that he could never climb the stairs this way, he lifted his head and split the view with his hand. He studied the top of the wall without looking at the creatures in the air.

Morsh and Lara were kneeling, holding hands. They were in the tower area above the east wall. Many soldiers around were either unconscious or running away.

People aiming in the air realized too late that the bullets and bombs were not working. The bullets somehow hit and bounced as turning ricochets around the creatures at something invisible. After watching a desperate effort for minutes, Eren finally saw that his comm was connected to Morsh.

He had been trying to reach Morsh for the last 10 minutes. He never expected to be connected in an instant. A quiet voice sounded loudly from the earphone in his ear.

"Hey, Eren. Remember when I told you about instant decisions?"

Eren thought about the possibilities as the bad feeling inside him increased.

"Are normal guns useless? What are these winged things! Maybe we can find their weak spots, don't give up right now ....."

Over the wall, Eren waited for the voice of Morsh, who was silently dealing with something but not letting Lara's hand go. But at that moment a simple order came to the comms of all the townspeople, including Eren's comm. All screens got out of control after the same text appeared.

WE ARE IN EMERGENCY - RUN - Demonic Angels!

Eren was between climbing the wall and running away. He understood that nuclear weapons would be fired. Forcing himself, he pulled his hand and looked again at the creatures in the air.

"Only two creatures should not affect the destiny of a community so much!"

But it was happening. The two creatures that stayed in the air were alike, flapping their wings as if they were not consuming any energy. Although it had some ugly bits, in general, they had beautiful wings and beautiful faces. They looked like coming from old sagas or fantastic stories.

Their eyes were full of intelligence. Eren even saw a particle of contempt.

One of them was telling something to the other. Although they were that high, it was obvious that creatures were talking about something.

"Morsh! For now, they're just waiting for the zombies to wake up. Don't be in a hurry to use bombs. Maybe they just came to have fun and are waiting to watch our battle with zombies."

Lara's eyebrows rose with what Eren said. "We can't leave things to chance. We can't defend the wall with a few people. But if they attack with the zombies, there will be a lot of casualties in this scenario. Leaving few soldiers and evacuating everybody causes unnecessary deaths as well as completely staying and defending. We have 15-20 minutes before the sun rises. Everyone should escape during this time."

Eren saw no other possibility, even if these winged creatures only came to watch. Moreover, it would be bad for the self-sacrificing soldiers to stay on the wall and die if they didn't just come to watch.

The chaos around and the desire to escape were clear. Everyone was on their way to the other side of town, and these soldiers were rushing to meet their families.

Eren thought of Sophie and Tris for a second. Except for four people, there was no one in town to risk his life.

But before Eren could decide, one of the creatures in the air began to fly backward. He crept over the zombie herd that went beyond the horizon and stopped abruptly. He raised his hand and lowered it.

The zombies began to stir as soon as his long, purplish arm came down. Eren noticed that the soldier, who reported the situation through the headset in his ear, began to descend from the wall. Because the soldier stopped telling, Eren didn't know what was going on anymore. But the zombies waking up early was bad enough.

Now only Morsh and Lara were left on the wall.

"Maybe .." What Lara whispered to Morsh caught Eren's attention. Even before understanding the subject, with Lara's beginning to fly, the creatures in the air moved a little higher and moved to a safer distance. Stepping away from something unknown was natural even for this creature.

Eren was still trying to cope with the staggering pressure these creatures spread around. He felt his head pain lessened by a bit, but not even one percent in total.

When he decided it was impossible to climb the wall, he leaned against the wall behind him and took out a cigarette. It was nice to be able to move without looking at the creatures. He fixed his eyes on Morsh and what Lara did.

The huge bag on Lara's back and the way she looked like she was flying with difficulty weren't good news. Eren understood that Lara would try something before going to plan-nuke.

But before Lara could even rise tens of meters, the creature in the air dived down with incredible speed. With fearless and natural movements, he raised his hand and waved it near Lara, as if he was floating in the water, not in the air. His hand just swept the air and made a cringy move. You can only see this kind of thing in animes or movies.

There was a small vibration in the air.

While Eren was wondering if the creature had a weapon, his eyes caught Lara. Within seconds, his entire body trembled with fear. Lara was split in half from her waist, falling with a lot of blood splashing in the air.

[His hand didn't even touch. Are we in the anime! How?]

Eren looked at the mocking gaze of an airborne creature and at Morsh, whose wife had probably died. He took one last breath of his cigarette and turned around.

He called out to Morsh for the last time before he started running.

"You will never be forgotten! Did you understand? Even if the end of the world comes, I will remember you. Do what you gotta do..."

Eren started walking himself, thinking that other people he cared about had escaped. But unexpectedly, the creature in the air looked at him.

Maybe it was luck. Maybe it was because there were only two people left appearing on and around all the walls of the whole town.

But the white-winged creature with the face of a demon looked at Eren. And the two of them met eye to eye. With no emotion on the creature's face, Eren turned around and ran to escape. Maybe there was a feeling on its face, but the creature wasn't human and Eren didn't understand.

His whole body, every bit of his consciousness was forcing him to escape. He had never been more afraid in his life. Never experienced such seconds of disgust.

Despite the sadness in his heart, he ran from the now quiet streets. He passed by the streets and shops, which Eren walked and watched with his cigarette every day.

A minute or two later he entered the town square. Eren saw the place where he lived a lot and spent most time for the last year. He glanced at the filthy park for the last time and caught a glimpse of the technology store.

"John's Technology Store"

He ran and entered the big door of the store. There was no one inside, but when he saw that most of the things were taken, he grabbed a new generation electric scooter and activated the device with his comm.

He was surprised how fast he was when driving this vehicle on the roads. But he felt that super-gadget he had always dreamed of did not bring any pleasure those seconds. Eren sometimes seemed to lose his balance while riding this scooter. But other than that, it went without problems.

His eyes were always where people went. Before he could leave town, he saw a large crowd gather outside.

Accompanied by soldiers and commanders, the great crowd was trying to move away quickly. Eren realized in that second that the flying creatures he had just seen were things known by the town since they had this effect.

Normally it would be more reasonable to try to kill two creatures. But people all ran away as if they knew they were helpless without exception.

[Just two creatures! Only two]

A little ahead, he saw huge transport busses. Although they looked like huge buses, they were covered with metal on all sides. It looked like tanks with no windows or metal wheels. They seemed tough.

But when Eren saw only twenty or thirty vehicles, he realized that these vehicles were rare.

When the dirt landed on the road, he threw the scooter away like the others. There was a mess and threw gadgets all around. He started running across the rough ground. There was a big explosion sound in the distance, but it wasn't the kind of big atomic bomb Eren was expecting.

Eren looked up before he could approach other people and when he had just stepped onto the dirt road. There were two more winged creatures in the sky. These two were watching below and waiting in the air.

Boom!

This time, there was a sound bigger than before. After the last small explosion, this sound was so big that Eren realized that Morsh had succeeded this time.

Before Eren ran to go to the people, a big earthquake started. No matter how advanced his body was, his entire body froze in fear of death. With a fear he has never felt before, Eren threw himself back to a building that seemed safer. And with this movement, all his remaining energy and courage are exhausted.

He leaned his back against the wall and watched the crowd receding further and further away. As the intensity of the shaking increased, Eren became more and more scared.

[Run! Follow them, idiot! JUST RUN!!!]

But the fear was such a big chain that it locked his legs. Fear made him do some bullshit that he would say never do. He knew his brain meant well but his body didn't listen.

Eren kneeled and waited helplessly on the shaking soil. His headache got stronger. Just then, he lost consciousness with a rapid blow from the air to his head.

The winged creature who watched Eren fall to the ground was flying in the air. He came closer to Eren's body. Surprisingly, this angel-like creature was the creature who made eye contact with Eren.

The movements of the winged creature said, "I don't care about the giant earthquake."

The only thing that appeared on his face was his eyes were looking at Eren with curiosity.

After a few seconds, the creature smiled strangely.
