Chapter 14: AFRICA'S SKY DEFENDER.

Deep down in the Central Africa, in the city of Kuito, Angola. Toronto Okonkwo visited the week there to train himself as well as spend time with his family. His family was poor, and relied much on him to assist them with finance. He lived near a park area filled with many children each day, the children loved playing sports as well as socializing with other's. Toronto had two little brothers as well as a little sister, Toronto's mother, Zahra Okonkwo was a preschool teacher who made little franc, which was enough to only provide food, Adom was Toronto's first brother, he was a restaurant chief and was twenty years of age. Akwtee was Toronto's second brother, which was his youngest at five years of age. Panya Diya was Toronto's little sister, she was nine years of age. Toronto was outside in his backyard training to strengthen his ability for Friday, he used his thorn ability which forms sharp thorns on his arms. His ability can create any type of projectile weapon entirely out of thorns, his thorns can also explode on impact of his prey. He attacked his training bag with many of his thorns, shooting them at high speed from his arms like a gun built into his body. His training came along well but, there was a disturbance of peace to the neighbors, they became very furious with his loud ruckus and walked over to silence him shouting, "Could you Please Keep it Down! Some people would like to enjoy their peace."

This didn't stop him from training, his mind, and focus was only on being the Knight he dreamed of being. Zahra walked outside and demanded him, "You really need to keep it down if you're going to train. These people will not stop bugging me. Moreover, have you spent time with your brothers?" Toronto was deeply in strain to all the noise around him as he breathed heavily while drenched in his sweat. He replied to her, "Yes, I've spent two hours with them, I am behind on my training and should focus on it. I need concentration, please." She walked away content with his reply, It was four in the afternoon and Toronto's love interest Kelly Okoye stopped by to speak with him. She walked outside toward the back where he was and caught him exhausted on his knees, she asked him, "When are you going to stop killing yourself like this? It's getting out of hand, you're covered in dirt and sweat. You need to stop and rest for once, I hate to see you like this." Toronto stood up and walked over toward his back door slowly and drained, his mother and siblings could smell the repulsive smell flying off his fur. Kelly walked in and shrugged her shoulders in disappointment since he ignored her. He sent himself to his shower, washing off the horrid smell he had developed. Kelly waited patiently in his living room with his siblings, playing with them as if they were her children.

Toronto then revealed himself to everyone with an improved body scent applied, he walked over to Kelly and asked her to step outside to speak with him. He then said to her," I'm going to be here until Thursday, I'll be leaving late that night and will be gone for a while. I don't know when I'm able to see you again." She looked at him dotingly and replied, "I hope you are certain that this is what you really want. I love you dearly, and I'll be super worried for you and your safety, only because I want you to make it back and help us. I need you, and I want a family with you." Toronto gazed into the sunset as she spoke to him with her concerns, his eyes were fixed on the beauty of God's creation, the children all around, the people, his kind of people. She was confused to see him absorbed by the sky, she walked over to him with her hand upon his shoulder. The two looked into the cloudy and sunny sky as if a hurricane had finished its course. Kelly looked at him heartening and said, "I hope we can be able to fulfill our dream together, I understand if not. I only want you to bring peace into the land of which we live in, as well as the other vast lands out there." Toronto looked over at her with the smile of promise as he came in with a hug of optimism and told her, " I want to support my family as well as you and all people here in Kuito. I know you desire a committed marriage and a family that will flourish, I will use what I was blessed with and protect you all."

Kelly looked down toward the streets and noticed guards walking, Toronto quickly grabbed her and hid her inside away from the top patio. The guards yelled and screamed aggressively at the passing civilians, they used shackles, and even guns to get what they desired. He looked stealthy as the guards were screaming in commands, "GET INSIDE! GET INSIDE!" Toronto rushed inside and covered Kelly, as well as his brothers and his sister. Zahra shut the curtains and locked all doors of entry as lights lit up the entire area. The guards had finished their sweep throughout the area and the streets were quiet and dark, Toronto and his family, as well as Kelly, were protected and secured. Zahra noticed that Kelly was still present in her house, this wasn't pleasing to her, as she knew this was an issue regarding Toronto. However, she knew that there wasn't any choice and decided to allow Kelly to stay the night. Zahra kept watch all throughout the night to ensure the safety of everyone, she failed to find rest while everyone else found theirs. He spoke to her, saying, "First thing in the morning, I'll escort you back home. It currently isn't safe for you to be away from your father. He's probably concerned for you, wondering if you're still alive." Kelly locked her pillow over her chest and rolled towards the wall, anxious about the guards. She looked over near him and panicked saying, "I hope that my father wasn't caught, I know he was out in the fields working. I am dismayed of these guards and hope to arrive home tomorrow." Toronto stayed with her as he waited for the sky to turn into morning and for the stars to go into slumber, keeping a watch on her as she searched for her sleep.

The next morning, Toronto departed with Kelly away from his home. The two walk down the streets quietly and find their way throughout the fields toward Kelly's home, which was fifteen minutes away. She is greeted by her father with open arms, as Toronto jets off back to his house, with the clarity of Kelly's safety. Toronto arrived back home, and began his training for the exams. His determination of striving was boosted by the words of Kelly, her words reminded him of the hope, future, and peace that is to come. The morning was full of clear skies, sunny as well as humid weather, and Toronto's focus was fixed on his training bag. The guards that patrolled the streets walked pass him and were amazed at his movement, speed, and strength. One of the guards asked him, "You must be that Knight soldier, huh? I got to say, your training seems to be going pretty well so far. I'm curious, however, do you know a Kelly Okoye by any chance?" He ceased his training temporally and responded, "I do not know who you are talking about. I don't associate with anyone around here, I focus on myself." The guard was testing him to see how his reaction to this would go, the guard then said, "Well, okay then. However, she has been locked and detained for now since she does not possess a warrior scar on her."

Toronto was shocked internally by the guards' news, he remained calm and shrugged it off without care. The guards continued to try to communicate with him, Toronto was then filled with anger and commanded they leave him to his training immediately. As soon as they left, he wrapped up his training for the hour before resuming it. Throughout the day, he kept his profile low in training to prevent any form of oddness. As night was forming, everyone around was preparing to flee indoors to avoid the street guards. Toronto disguised himself, hiding all his facial features as though he had no face. Once the skies turned dark and the stars awoke, he jumped out through his bedroom window and landed in his backyard. He moved throughout town stealthy, he saw many guards idle, waiting patiently for any victims to reveal themselves. A fence was surrounding a giant facility like a prison, with layers of security guarding each part. Two guards blocked the entrance to the scarless home, the scarless home was almost like a prison for those who didn't receive the warrior's scar. These people were looked down upon as abnormal. Toronto hid himself against a wall as guards were marching in his direction. As the guards marched, some of them began splitting up and searching every corner of the town, which included allies, plazas, and many more.

Toronto then hid well under trash pits, once the guards were dispatched from the area, he resumed his movement once more. As he approached the gates closer, the more security began to rise, as drones were also swarming the skies with the siren lights ready to alarm at any time. He slipped through all the guards without detection and made it close to the first layer of the guarded fence. The two weren't as productive as the others, since the first layer was the most secured out of them all. Toronto moved out into a bush to get their attention away from the entrance, one of the guards noticed strange noises coming from the side. He then asked the other guard next to him, "Hey? Do you hear that brushing noise coming from the side?" The other guard replied, "I do not. I don't know what it is you're talking about. If it is distracting you, then go see what it is." The guard walked over toward where the sound was coming from, with his weapon and light on, ready to fire at the given time, he opened the bush quickly but noticed that it was empty. The guard then made his way back to his post when suddenly, the guard standing at the entrance was knocked down without explanation. Toronto had made his way through the entrance and slipped through the second and last layer easily. Toronto had found his way throughout the scarless home, he found the place of those being held. Kelly was with many other men who did not receive the warrior's scar. The warrior's scar was a tradition passed down to every citizen, the warrior was strong and almost lost everything in his epic battle against an evil terrorist group known as the solar darkness.

After the war, the warrior who had many scars made it tradition that everyone born and of the age would receive a scar on their body as a remembrance of the great price that the warrior paid. However, those who did not have the warrior's scar, were looked at as unworthy of living. Kelly's parents didn't believe it would be necessary to give her a scar, and left her clear of any scars or damages on her body. Kelly was in a prison cell with many others, they mourned with grief. She was chained to a wall with her arms in the air, the feeling was like being crucified but not hanging, like she was glued to a wall. She couldn't move or become comfortable with her position of being chained, she looked over to the other prisoners and said to them, "I can't believe we have to be locked up for this, it's just a scar. It shouldn't be taken like this, we are just as human as the rest of them are." The other prisoners had no reason to reply, as they couldn't find the courage to speak due to the guards patrolling the prison room. As they approached the cell, they were quickly knocked down by a mysterious man in a dark uniform. He took a needle from his arm, and broke off the lock keeping them in, he walked over to Kelly and said, "You are free." He sliced off the locks from her and the rest of the prisoners and created an escape with the explosion from his needles in the wall. They all rushed out as he began freeing everyone else being held, all of them rushed out in freedom. Kelly hurried over to the woods and was covered by the tall and thick trees, she saw what looked to be someone flying speedily past the forest high above her. She then could only think of one man she was close with, she thought to herself, "(Toronto, you and I shall be one someday. I am going to promise you that.)"
