Journey and acadamy

Noah looked back at his house. This was maybe the final time he would see it.

He had a packed a small bag with his father's dairy, jerky for a few weeks, some spare clothes, 2 silver coins and his wooden sword.

He now had to travel for around 100km's before he would reach the academy. So the first thing he did was travel out of his hometown.

After a few hours of walking he heard a carriege coming from behind.

Noah mabye couldn't or didn't want to make friends but he could still hold conversations with people.

So when the carriege was only 50 meters away from him he turned around and waved at the coachman.

The carriege stopped right beside him.

"What is it young lad?" the coachman said.

"hello sir, it's just that I have a question, would it be fine if I traveled with u for some time?" Noah asked with a smile.

The coachman looked at Noah for a few seconds and then answered "pff, okay young lad, but we will only travel to Kantuf, and you'll have to sit at the back of the carriege."

'perfect I also need to head towards Kantuf' thought Noah. "Thank you sir".

Noah then quickly moved to the back of the carriege. Where he waited for it to move and then nimbly climbed on the roof of the carriege.

There he layed his bag under him and dozed off.

---

Noah felt the carriege slow down so he quickly climbed down via the back.

"were here!" the coachman yelled.

"thank you for the ride sir." said Noah and walked away.

He now only had to travel for around 25 km's as this was the closest city to the acadamy. He ate some jerky and enterd the town. There he saw a few carriege's who were specially made for traveling towards the academy.

Every child from age 12-18 could use this carriege so he quickly got on.

After half a hour of waiting 15 other kids got on. Some other kid wanted to start a conversation with Noah but he flat out ignored the person. The kid didn't get mad at Noah as he felt a subtle pressure coming from him.

15 minutes later the coachman of the carriege arrived. He didn't say anything and just tugged at the handle and the carriege started to move.

---

Noah could see the academy from a few kilometers away, it was huge. The walls were around 80 meters tall if he had to guess. And the mountains behind the academy made it look a bit small, but it was still an eye catcher.

The whole academy was also surrounded by tall pine trees.

The academy was build out of some type of gray stone, which probably came out of the mountains.

After 10 more minutes he arrived right in front of the academy. 'wow it's absolutely massive.'

The front of the academy looked like the front of a castle but then with a tower like structure in the middle of it.

Just as Noah was admiring the building he heard the kid that tried to talk to him on the carriege speak to some other kid's not far away from him.

"Did you know that the principle lives in this tower?" said the talkative kid. "no I didn't know that." the other kids looked back at the tower.

Noah also looked back up at the tower. He blinked a few times as he wasn't sure what to do now.

He still was a few days to early to apply to the entry test. 'damn I didn't think that this journey would be over so fast.'

'well no need to sully about it.'

Noah looked around and saw the tall pine trees around him. He moved towards one and sat down. There he started to read his father's dairy for some time.

And after a few minutes of reading he started to meditate.

The few days that he had to wait quickly passed. Noah had mostly just slept on a self made bed constructed out of wood and leaves.

And now it was finally time to apply to the test. Over the coming days hundreds if not thousands of new kids had arrived.

The open space in front of the academy was packed. After another hour of waiting the gates of the academy opened.

And a single man walked out he was clad in some black iron armor with black leather.

There was still a lot of noise and the man didn't seem to like it at all.

So suddenly some type of pressure was released from the man. Most kids who didn't have a rank 1 body dropt towards the ground.

The other kids who were rank one knelt on the ground, and some of them could even stand up, but after some time they also fell to there knees.

The rank 2's also felt the pressure but it was more bearable.

And one person didn't even flinch. She even walked towards the person clad in black armor.

He looked surprised at her and after a few seconds the pressure dissapeard.

"now that I have all of your attention, let me formally introduce myself, I'm Jeffrey and I'm a teacher for rank 1 and rank 2 students."

"some of the people that have come here today have surprised me" he quickly glanced at the girl, "and some dissapoint me."

He know looked at all the kids who had fallen on the ground. It was silent for a good 20 seconds.

"now, I want all of you to line up, and go trough the gate. There you will receive a badge, and once everyone has received it you can rest inside the academy."

"tomorrow your first test will start so rest well."

The teacher then turned around and dissapeard in the academy.

The kids then slowly moved towards the acadamy.

Noah was one of the last ones to pass trough the gate. He now could see the inside of the acadamy.

Noah looked around for a few seconds. 'it actually looks like how I imagined it to look.'

All across the walls there were dormitories, and some facilities closer towards the mountains.

Outside the dormitories there stood a lot of training dummies and other training machines.

Noah then moved towards the registration cabins. There were a few sections, the rank 0, rank 1, rank 2 and rank 3.

Right now nobody stood before the rank 2 and rank 3 registration cabins. Noah looked around and then quietly moved towards the rank 2 cabin.

Most of the rank 1 kids looked at Noah with surprised eyes. Noah wasn't that tall and looked really young. Some of them started to gossip.

"how is he already rank 2, he doesn't even look 17 yet?" said someone. Noah obviously didn't care what the person taught.

But as he got closer and closer he could hear more and more kids talking. "huh, it's probably another rich guys kid, they've probably fed him elixers since he was born."

Some of the others kids started to laugh. "but look at his clothes if he was rich he would probably wear something better, no?"

"his daddy probably just dropped him off in the woods, too spoiled if you ask me."

Noah stopped in front of the cabin. The women behind the cabin looked at him and said. "if you can infuse this stone with aura you'll get a rank 2 badge."

She handed Noah a transparent stone. He then started to infuse a little bit of aura inside of the stone.

The stone became a little bit brighter. "okay that's good, here is you're badge."

Noah picked up the badge but he still wanted to ask something. "what's the use of this badge?"

"you can use this to unlock your room and it will track were you are, so that if something happens to you we can find you."

"okay, thank you" Noah then walked away and went to search for a place to sleep. As he saw other kids just laying on the ground trying to sleep.
