Getting My Official Adventurer's License

It was the day after my wedding with Maria and her father was giving me rewards for my heroics during the duel.

"Henry, not only are you my son in law now but a hero to our country. We are indebted to you so if there is anything you need or want we will do our best to provide"

"Thank you sir, and I was just doing what all men would do in that situation"

"You are very humble, I like that. Me and my wife would like to give you an estate to the west from our palace. It is no smaller than this palace and it has a large backyard, It has a very large master bedroom and its interior can be increased with magic, it also has walls surrounding it so no one can sneak in or creep up. So what do you say?" King asked.

"I would be delighted to accept this estate you are offering and I will use it well"

So with that I now had a new home for me and my wives. Though we won't be using it just yet because we have to go register at the guild to become legal and official adventurers. Mia, Maria, Hibana and I after moving our stuff to our new home we rode a carriage into town to register at the guild. Once we got out of the carriage we were immediately recognized by the locals in the town.

This happens to most heroes and their companions. After being greeted by the locals we walked inside the guild and were greeted by an applause from the adventurers inside. I smiled and said thank you and then moved on to the pressing matter. We went to the Lady at the desk and she bowed to me and Maria and I said

"There is no need to bow we are adventurers as well so don't worry about formalities"

"Thank you for being kind. So are you here today to take the entrance exam?"

"Yes we are here to officially register, except for Maria since she is already registered. Mia, and Hibana my other wives as well would like to register"

"Right this way then, we will now test you three, if Maria would like to join or to watch she is free to do so"

"I would like to watch to see what Henry's initial rank is"

Mia, Hibana, and I all went with the desk lady while Maria came in after us in the spectators booth to watch. There were other adventurers watching but that was through the visual display magic. The first trial was a mana gage test.

"Alright we will now do the mana gage test. In this test we will be measuring your mana pool and the amount that regenerates every ten seconds. We will start with Mia, then Hibana and Finally you. Any questions so far?"

"No questions here" We said.

Mia walked up to the crystal and placed her hand on the smooth side. The measuring device then started up and stopped.

"Mia, your mana pool is 50,000u and your regeneration rate is 500 every ten seconds. These stats for a beginner are the same as an A class adventurer so very good scores. With your mana pool and regeneration speeds you should use summoning magic and darkness magic"

Hibana then walked up the crystal and placed her hand on the same smooth side. The device started up and then stopped.

"Hibana, your mana pool is 75,000u and your regeneration rate is 400 every ten seconds. These stats are the same as an A+ adventurer and with your mana pool you should work with healing and light magic.

And finally I walked up to the crystal and placed my hand on the smooth side. The device started up and the crystal began to vibrate. Seconds later the crystal shattered and the device stopped.

"UH so Henry, your mana pool was read as immeasurable and your mana regeneration rate is 5000 every ten seconds. With these stats you are a SSS+ class.. No wonder you beat the Devil" the lady said with a look of shock on her face. Everyone in the guild had their eyes on me. I was the first person to be ranked an SSS+ rank within only the first test.

"Moving on to the next test, In this test you will be tested on physical strength by attacking these different metals. As you progress up the metals they get increasingly harder, with the hardest being known as Adazanium fiber. If the metal breaks then you move up a metal. You continue until you can no longer break the metals. Any questions?"

"No questions here"

Hibana was first this time and she began punching the metals. She made it to the 4th metal.

"You have the physical strength of an average C+ adventurer. But you make up for lack of physical strength in your Mana pool and regeneration speeds"

Mia was next and she began punching the metals. She made it to the 8th metal.

"You have the physical strength of an average B+ adventurer. You are strong in both physical and magical strength but physical suits you more"

And finally it was my turn again. I lined up and began punching the metals. I shattered them one after another all the way up until the last metal. I punched the metal as hard as I could but it didn't seem to budge.

"You have the physical strength of an average SS adventurer. You are deadly in both magic and physical attacks so you can do pretty much anything if you train for it"

If the adventurers were not impressed from the earlier display than now they were.

"And now we are at the final test. In this test you will be tested on your ability to save others and if you are willing to sacrifice yourself. This will be a hard test but I know that you all can do it. Especially after the scores that you have gotten so far"

This time I was first and the task was to save a child from an exploding building with devils on the outside. This was done with mimics which were magical creatures that took on the image given to them. You have 30 seconds.

The timer started and I decided to be a little more low key on this challenge so I went in slowly helping the child get out and beat the devils.

"Good work you got and average score of an B- adventurer. You are better on the frontlines but a little lacking when it comes to rescue missions"

I knew that I could have done it in 2 seconds but I didn't want to look too absurd so I took it down a notch, Mia went next and blitzed in and beat it quickly, at least faster than I beat it.

"Good job you got the average score of an A+ adventurer. You can do both magic and physical battles but you are better at physical assassin and rescue missions"

It was now Hibana's turn and she completed it extremely quickly, she also was able to stop the explosives while shielding herself and the child.

"Excellent Job you have the average score of an S+ adventurer. You have quick thinking and are able to diffuse situations under pressure and while keeping injuries and casualties to a minimum"

"We will issue your adventurer cards momentarily so please wait in the waiting room"

"Thank you for your time and allowing us to take the exam," I said to the desk woman.

We then went to the waiting room where Maria was already waiting. We walked in and Maria greeted us.

"You guys did spectacular, I am still only an A rank adventurer but you guys are all gonna be S ranks and Henry, you will be an SSS rank"

"Well we still have training to do so tomorrow we will begin training at our house"

"What about the training camp that was gonna be on Saturday" Mia asked

"The women told me that there would be nothing for us to learn so we aren't allowed to go". Maria looked a little disappointed from the results of the test and the news of not being able to go to the training camp.

"Also Maria don't feel like you aren't strong enough to be with us. I wouldn't mind even if you had no power at all. But if you are concerned about your strength we will train you to be and S rank like us"

"Thank you, Henry that makes me feel a bit better because I was a little embarrassed for being a low rank compared to you guys"

The desk woman came back and she gave us our adventurer cards.

My card was SSS, Mia's card was S, and Hibana was S+.

"Now, let's go home and eat because I am starving. Do any of you girls know what dinner will be?"

"Dinner tonight will be us"

"Quit joking i'm actually hungry I need real food" I responded

"I will make chicken, rice, bread and duck for dinner tonight" Maria said.

"Then let's get home. I got a stomach to fill"

And so we went back home to our new estate where we were welcomed by our butlers, and Maria got ready to make dinner. I was glad to be in this new world, and I was ready to fight God himself to protect what I have.
