Chapter 16: Tokyo’s trouble Pt. 5

Park Jimin didn't bleed, black sand simply fell from the wound in her nose, courtesy of the pale boy in front of her, who just stood there with a smile on his face, staring her down as if she was simply prey.

"Don't look at me like that… Don't you dare look at me like that!" She yelled, zipping up the building wall at the speed of sound, rushing back down, and slamming into Theriault.

The boy flew back, smacking into the alley wall as blood gushed from his nose.

But he was unchanged. His smile was still there, his cold gray eyes bore into her black ones as he shook off her attack.

"You'll need to do better than that Jimin," He said with a smirk, his eyes flashing as rushed her, smacking her with the back of his hand and grabbing her ankle before she flew to the right, slamming her back down into the ground.

The vampire rolled over, kicking Theriault in the stomach and jumping at him, shrieking as Theriault dodged her, stomping his foot and breaking up the stones in the ground, quickly kicking them at The Vampire.

"Neat trick... But I'm too fast for that!" Park Jimin said, zigzagging past the rocks and surging toward Theriault, hands outstretched toward his shoulder as she unsheathed her fangs.

"You sure? I'd say your speed is fairly average... Ugh, I hate that Shen Yi was right," Theriault said nonchalantly, slapping the vampire to the ground and kicking her away from him.

Standing over the vampire Theriault smirked, his eyes full of life despite his normal look.

"Do you see how happy I am? I don't know why, but it's nice not being so worried about that stupid key… Just having fun…" Theriault's words trailed off as Park Jimin jumped up, too fast for him to react. He had let his guard down, and he would pay the price.

The Vampire bit into his neck, piercing his skin and sucking the blood out of his body with vigorous intent, glee apparent on her face as she finally finished off the tricky prey.

The effect was instant. Theriault widened his eyes as he felt the prick, trying to move her off of him, but it was already too late.

"Hah…" Park Jimin sighed with satisfaction.

"Such rich blood, sooo tasty!" Park Jimin said, wrapping her arms around her body as she let Theriault's cold drained body fall to the concrete.

"Y-You…" She heard behind her, turning around to see Shen Yi stare down at Theriault's body, her eyes wide as pure horror shone apparent on her face.

"Y-You killed him…" She said as Park Jimin smiled.

"Think of it more as… Liberation…" The vampire rushed forward, grabbing Shen Yi by the shoulders. Her fangs glinted in the moonlight as she brought her head toward Shen Yi's neck.

*Whoosh*

Park Jimin widened her eyes as she missed Shen Yi's neck, her vision rotating a full 360 degrees as his head was detached from her shoulder.

"H-Huh?" Park Jimin said as her head slammed into the ground, a look of hate staring down at her from Shen Yi.

Park Jimin's body regenerated, but the horror of nearly dying left the vampire in a cold sweat as she moved back away from Shen Yi.

"Your sword... It's pure silver?" She asked, trying to calm the shaking in her hands as Shen Yi held the sword at the ready.

"It is." Shen Yi nodded, keeping her eyes on the vampire as she tried to get back up.

"You'll pay for what you've done..." Shen Yi said, clenching her jaw as she rushed The Vampire, with no hesitation as she remembered what Theriault had told her.

"When You rush in you leave yourself vulnerable, tighten up and come in at an angle, unless your opponent is trained they will most likely have a hard time blocking your attacks."

With this she rolled her shoulders forward and dropped her hands to her hips, her sword scraping against the ground, leaving sparks in her wake as she jumped to the left, slashing outward.

"It's no use! I'm faster than you and stronger!" Park Jimin said, closing in, grabbing Shen Yi by the hair and yanking her head back mid-air, slamming her against the ground.

Shen Yi quickly rolled over, her long hair a mess as Park Jimin flashed forward, slashing her claws down at Shen Yi.

The brown-haired girl barely blocked the razor-sharp claws, sliding them off the edge of her sword and smacking Park Jimin in the nose with the hilt of her sword.

Shen Yi widened her eyes, as Park Jimin bounced back, making sure to keep a hand on Shen Yi as she got back up, holding her nose.

"You aren't even close to his level..." Park Jimin said, smiling as she relaxed. She'd been caught off guard, and she convinced herself that was all. With how weak Shen Yi was, it hurt her pride that she'd been so fearful of the sword that Shen Yi carried.

"Maybe not..." Shen Yi said as she pointed the tip of her sword to the right of them. "But I don't need to be to kill you," She finished, twirling the sword in her hand and slicing off Park Jimin's hand.

Shen Yi jumped back, free from The Vampire's grasp. Quickly she regained her footing, tightening her core and raising her blade in one fluid movement. "I hope this works," She thought aloud, breathing in and then releasing all the air as she sliced down with her blade.

"Wha-" Park Jimin began, but couldn't finish as Shen Yi hit her in the chest, slicing into the Vampire and sending her flying across the alleyway.

"Ah... Your sword is so intriguing" Park Jimin said as she stood up, rubbing her chest, seeing that her wound wasn't healing.

"How did you?" Park Jimin began to say before she was cut off by another wave of Shen Yi's sword.

Narrowly dodging the blade, The Vampire grabbed Shen Yi by the arm and pulled her closer, revealing her fangs.

"That's dangerous," She hissed.

Slicing her sword downward, Shen Yi shrugged off the nub that was slowly healing as Park Jimin sliced her claws upward, cutting Shen Yi's forearm, causing blood to spray everywhere.

Park Jimin dodged the blade again, slicing her claws along the underbelly of the teenage girl.

"Ah!" Shen Yi yelled in pain as she gritted her teeth, Park Jimin's nails digging deep into her flesh.

"So much pain..." Park Jimin said, looking up at Shen Yi with bright eyes, "I can almost taste your suffering and the smell... It's intoxicating."

Park Jimin dodged a wild swipe from Shen Yi, smiling at the girl as The Vampire licked Shen Yi's blood off her hands, her wounds closing instantly. "I knew I just needed a pick me up..." Park Jimin finished, leaning in quickly and stealing a deep kiss from Shen Yi.

"What are you doing?!" Shen Yi yelled, blushing and kicking her away, backing up as Park Jimin started to laugh.

"Why wouldn't I want to enjoy myself? This isn't my first time, and it won't be the last either... I just get so worked up! Won't you help me human!?" Park Jimin laughed maniacally, rushing in with her claws aimed at Shen Yi's already-opened wound.

"No! Stop!" Shen Yi protested, throwing herself back onto the ground as Park Jimin lunged after her, hitting her with a quick kick to the side of her knee, sending her sprawling across the pavement.

Park Jimin growled as she looked at Shen Yi. "I want more, your blood is even better than the boy's, give it to me!" She yelled, lunging once again at the downed Shen Yi.

Park Jimin's claws cut into the girl's leg, blood flowing even more.

Shen Yi rolled over, clutching her injured leg as she pushed herself to her feet, glaring at the Vampire. "You're crazy!" She yelled, holding her sword out weakly, feeling her strength slipping by the second.

'I've lost too much blood' She thought to herself.

"Don't you know you murdering all these people will only draw others closer to you!?" Shen Yi yelled angrily as Park Jimin stood up.

"Well of course," The Vampire replied. "I kill, people try to find me, then I kill again, I've been doing this since before your mother's mother was born little girl, and I'll continue long after you've been devoured..."

Park Jimin grinned evilly at Shen Yi as the girl raised her sword, taking a few steps back from the vampire "Come now!" She snarled. Walking toward Shen Yi with bravado.

"If you think your puny weapon will stop me even now, then you are simply a fool..." The Vampire mocked. "The best part about all this is that I truly never took any Cornucopia, that was all the monsters you guys have been staying with haha, they pay me a monthly wage to bring them humans to feed on, you and that silly little boy were played..."

Shen Yi widened her eyes as Park Jimin crouched slightly, lunging at the injured girl with such speed that Shen Yi couldn't ever hope to block. 'I tried,' Was all the girl thought as Park Jimin was about to crash into her and drain her of her blood.

*Snatch*

Park Jimin let out a choked gasp as she stopped mid-air, her eyes going dark as her entire body convulsed. "B-But how..." She said, her hands beginning to crumble into black dust.

"Well... I guess you just didn't try hard enough... Also thanks for the information..." Theriault said, standing there perfectly fine as if he hadn't died just ten minutes before. "Just go ahead and decay now, I'm done with this shitty country, I've been delayed for far too long…" Theriault finished, looking at the building next to them.

"Let's go, Shen Yi, I gave them the benefit of doubt, but now... it's time for action" He said, smiling maniacally as Shen Yi looked up at him in horror.

'How... Is he alive?'
