chapter 4:The road to mole base

3500 Filipino cadets were riding a small boat, ready to proceed to the next step in becoming full-fledged soldiers.

Commander Raol, also known by the nickname Lucifer, shouted to the cadets, "Cadets! Do you remember the teachings about survival and how to use weapons in actual war, right?" He spoke with a serious expression.

One cadet answered, "Yes, sir! We were taught how to use weapons in 3rd grade, sir. We learned how to use bazookas, artillery, and machine guns when we were 14 years old, sir," shouting with confidence.

Jude and Marco were tense inside the ship. They wanted to answer the question, but they were too afraid to answer Lucifer's question.

The small ship ran at full speed, and the cadets felt the waves hitting the port side of the boat.

"I feel dizzy. Can we slow the boat down a little bit? I think I am going to vomit," Marco said, his face starting to turn red due to dizziness.

"Don't vomit, Marco," Jude worried, thinking that if Marco vomited, it would stink.

Lucifer saw Marco and said, "Young cadet! If you vomit on my ship, I will throw you into the sea. Do you understand?" Lucifer shouted.

Marco heard his commander speaking and said, "Yes, sir," while feeling dizzy. He swallowed his own vomit and concentrated.

-2 hours later-

Lucifer talked to them about the armor they must wear if they went to the mole base.

"Listen up! We only have 3 hours left before we arrive. I need you to change into this old version of armor made of insect skin," Lucifer said, opening the cabinet full of insect skin.

This skin was made of defeated insects. They discovered that insect skin was harder and lighter than normal armor and had properties of acid immunity.

"You need to wear this insect armor. This is called 'ladybug armor,' and it's good for you, cadets," Lucifer shouted with a serious expression.

The cadets stood up and wore the ladybug armor according to Lucifer's instructions.

Three hours later, the boat arrived at the mole bases, and the cadets saw a group of beetles running inside the island. They witnessed the beetles easily destroying old tanker trunks in their path.

"What the fuck! Are those really insects?" a young man named Ivan said. Ivan was a genius, with a small body and remarkable grades during the elementary military academy.

While they were watching the beetles running around the island, a thick web attacked their boat.

"Commander, we are caught in a spider web. We are being attacked by thick web," a young navy soldier reported to Commander Raol or Lucifer.

"This is my chance to teach them. Give me my gun and my sword. I will teach these young cadets how to kill a spider," Lucifer said with a big smile on his face.

The navy soldier gave his sword and gun to his commander, Lucifer.

"This is how you kill a spider, cadets." Lucifer ran faster towards the thick web while holding the gun and sword.

"Watchers, give me the location of the spider that attacked the boat," Lucifer said on the walkie-talkie while running in the thick web.

"Aye-aye, sir, the spider that attacked you is on the left side of that big tree," a watcher on the boat answered Lucifer.

Lucifer saw the spider. The spider was 5 meters long and 5 meters wide.

"Ahh! This is a piece of meat!" He used his gun to attack the spider's legs. His gun was very powerful and could easily cut off some of the spider's legs.

While the spider writhed in pain, Lucifer jumped onto its abdomen and stunned it before easily slicing it apart.

"Okay, cadets, do you see what I've done? That's how you kill an insect!" he shouted, grinning at the shocked onlookers.

The cadets were taken aback by the sight of the old man with numerous scars on his body dispatching the massive spider with such ease.

"Is he really human?" the cadets whispered amongst themselves.

Jude watched Lucifer's actions with excitement. "I want to do that too! Soon, I'll become a veteran just like him," he beamed, feeling inspired.

Meanwhile, Marco was left in shock and with little energy. "Ahh! Okay, he's good," he muttered with a bored expression.

Lucifer cut through the spider's webs and led the way into the ship.

"This is your first survival training. You must follow my instructions to stay alive," he announced.

The boat arrived in a safe area where many trees had been uprooted and cut down by giant insects.

"Are you ready, cadets? This is your first survival exam. I hope all of you will make it to the mole base," Lucifer smiled at the cadets, wishing them luck.

Will the cadets survive and make it to the mole base, or will they suffer heavy losses and perish?
