Sasuke jumped backwards to avoid the giant serpent looking to crush him by diving head first into the ground.

"Gonna borrow this for a bit," Sasuke lifted up a short sword lying on the ground next to the corpse of a woman in fancy dress armour. He twirled it in his hand to get used to the weight and to flick off the blood on the sword.

The red serpent then quickly pursued Sasuke with its fangs barred intending to consume the last Uchiha in one go. The spiky raven haired Uchiha wasn't going to allow that and side flipped to avoid it, whilst simultaneously slashing at the side of its mouth. But his slash didn't even penetrate the hard scales of the serpent.

'Thick scales, huh. I can't penetrate its body with this sword so I'll have to find a weak point to exploit,' Sasuke analysed quickly from his brief exchange with the snake. It wasn't like the snake summons from the Forest of Death, this one had unique attributes to its body perfect for attack and defence.

The serpent wasn't deterred by Sasuke's swift dodge and immediately began to circle around him, intending to crush Sasuke with its body. Sasuke jumped into the air to avoid the ploy, but was shocked when he was met in the air by a sharp tail whip from the serpent.

Sasuke managed to bring up his sword to block on time, but was still sent plummeting to the ground with force enough to create a small crater. He coughed out a bit of blood as he stood up wonky.

'Wasn't expecting that. I can't let this drag on otherwise I'll be at a disadvantage...' Sasuke thought as he wiped the blood off his lips and let the curse mark slowly spread over his face.

He clenched his fists as he got into a fighting stance, "Don't die too quickly," he smirked.

[Fire Style : Phoenix Flower Jutsu]

He spit out multiple fireballs that all connected with their target. 'I see... So fire barely singes the scales. I figured it was fire resistant,' Sasuke used his speed to run behind the serpent. 'It figures the weak point would be at the most troublesome part of the body' Sasuke saw the serpent shaking its head to recover from his fireball barrage.

That jutsu wasn't his most damaging fire jutsu, so it was telling to Sasuke that the red serpent was visibly stunned from it. The short sword he was carrying earlier had broken apart after the tail whip earlier in the fight and so he was left with his bare fist to take out the giant snake.

The serpent finally regained its bearings and spotted the tattooed figure of Sasuke behind it. It screeched at an ear piercing volume before it launched itself straight at him, aiming to crush Sasuke by ramming him with its body weight.

He revved up his chakra levels jumping out the away for the umpteenth time in the fight, but it looked like it expected this as it tried tail whipping him once again.

'Not a second time!' Sasuke flipped mid-air to dodge the tail. He then weaved through multiple hand signs at lightning quick speeds. Blue lightning chakra began to form around his palm with the chirping of a thousand birds accompanying the formation of the jutsu.

"Chidori!" Sasuke screamed out as he used gravity to assist him in building the speed necessary for the jutsu's peak efficiency. The Chidori ran through the serpent's scaly body like a hot knife through butter. Purple blood sprayed everywhere as the snake's body was cleaved in half by his Chidori.

The giant serpent hissed out in immense pain, the bottom half of its body failing wildly. It turned itself to face the perpetrator and fired out a blue liquid trying to hit Sasuke with it, but he dodged it with ease.

'Acid, huh? You should've used that earlier, but now it's too late,' Sasuke smirked in triumph at the snake's desperate actions.

[Fire Style : Fireball Jutsu!]

He spit out a gigantic fireball from his mouth straight into the wide open mouth of the serpent that is hissing at him. The fireball incinerated the serpent's head with ease leaving its red scaly body to plummet to the ground.

Sasuke took a small breath whilst retracting his curse mark back into its sealed state. 'I used more jutsu than I was intending to. Guess that snake was more troublesome than I thought,' Sasuke stared at the burnt and cleaved corpse of the red serpent.

"Now... Where am I?" Sasuke wondered out loud.

3 days later…

Sasuke had been wandering the giant forest for the past 3 days. He had come across multiple different creatures ranging from wolves to giant wasps. It honestly reminded him of his time in the Forest of Death. After a few days in that forest during the Chunin Exams he had a good grasp of survival in the wild.

There were multiple times when he wanted to rest but couldn't because a wolf or spider monkey around the corner tried to ambush him. Of course they were no match for him, but their continuous attempts were starting to take a toll on his stamina.

'What's that sound?' Sasuke's ears picked up on a strange humming sound just beyond the treeline. He was perched up on a tree branch trying to get some sleep until his superhuman senses picked up on a sound that sounded so unnatural to the relatively calm forest.

He decided to investigate the strange rhythmic humming noise, eventually reaching a clearing beyond the treeline.

"What is that?" Sasuke questioned out loud, he had been asking that question a lot recently. He came face to face with an adult sized crimson red portal with sparks occasionally flickering out from it.

He had never seen anything like it. It didn't seem real at all. It was giving off an ominous vibe because of the dense energy it was emitting.

Fwoosh!

Sasuke's acute shinobi senses picked up on the sound of an arrow hurling straight towards him. "Arghhh!" he grunted in pain as the arrow pierce straight through his shoulder. He quickly turned around and dodged multiple other arrows heading his way by rolling.

Regaining his bearings he glared up at the small party of twenty grinning elves. They all had pale skin with pointy ears and were wearing some kind of green armour that helped them camouflage with the surrounding forest life.

'I don't like my odds here. They have me, severely outnumbered...' Sasuke frowned, his three tomoe sharingan swirling in his eyes.

"Hehe... So what is it you're planning to do, now that you have me surrounded?" Sasuke chuckled lightly. He was addressing the elf perched on the tree branch because he could tell that he was the leader and the strongest there.

"We'll kill you. Obviously!" the leader elf told him with a bloodthirsty grin on its pointy eared face.

South Korea, Seoul.

"What's the situation?" A tall, lanky redhead immediately demanded, stepping out of his black Mercedes. He had magenta coloured eyes and wore a striped, magenta coloured dress suit with square shaped glasses framing his handsome face.

"Ah! Guildmaster Choi Jong-In, we have encountered complications during the training of new recruits," a woman in an all black business suit explained. Choi just deadpanned, "I've gathered that much... What was the reading the Association filed for this gate?" He asked his subordinate.

"It was C-rank, sir!" she answered back.

'C-rank?! Impossible, the energy coming from this gate is at least B-rank or even A-rank! The Association's readings remain unreliable, I see,' Choi widened his eyes a fraction at misinformation.

"What were the ranks of the new recruits?" He finally asked hoping that they were at least powerful, maybe if even one survived that would be enough. "A squad of 8 C-ranks and 2 B-ranks." the woman said. Choi moved forward towards the crimson red portal, coming face to face with it, he reached out his hand to make contact with the portal only for the mana to violently react and burn his hand slightly.

He smirked, pulling a cigarette and lighting it. Blowing out a puff of smoke, he thought, 'Bastards, they screwed over my new recruits. Looks like I'm going to be having words with the chairman soon.'

"Listen up everyone!" The Perfect Soldier, as was his moniker, commanded all his people that were stationed monitoring the red gate. "Once it opens up again, I want you to send in a search party consisting only of B-ranks or higher and make sure there's a healer on duty as well!" he ordered, and once he was sure they got the message he left in his black Mercedes once again.

He would've sent Attack force B to be on standby, but since they were in a different province and tangled up in a dungeon of their own, they wouldn't have arrived on time.

He would instead send in Hunter Chae-In over there to be on standby. He just hoped that she wasn't too grumpy with him the next day.
