ENTRY 5

FRIDAY, MARCH 10

MY ROOM 6:00pm

Hey,

Today was Open Day at school and I’m sure you have no idea what that is so I’ll explain. Open Day is a day when parents and/or guardians come check out their kids’ school work and stuff. My mum had said she might not make it and I was cool with that ‘cause I had made plans to have fun. Why? On Open Day, we don't have classes so basically we are free for the whole day. Most students don't even come to school. Though you must have your parents/guardians come but that depends on their schedule for the day.

For example; my mum wasn’t sure she’d make it because she has a lot of stuff to do. Plus she always attends almost every time. Out of three terms in a session, she attends twice and most times thrice, not missing a single one. She also attends all PTA (Parents, Teachers Association) meetings and other planned meetings in our schools. So it was okay cause I was gonna have fun. In my class, we spent time telling and listening to stories. I wanted to tell them about my story too and I wanted Jessie to help me with it but she seemed like she didn't want to so I left her alone and went to sit with Ivy, who was busy writing and I got bored, very bored. I decided to just rest my head on my desk till I could think of something to do.

So, I stayed bored, idle and lonely until my mum came. Surprisingly she had my lousy brothers with her but that brought joy and I wasn’t lonely and bored anymore. My mum did the checking of scores and stuff. Then she signed and we went home. Also, I had ice cream.

Now, about the past 9 day since this month began...happy new month by the way! There isn’t much to tell cause March is usually very boring. I’ve begun studying again cause exams starts in two weeks and it’d been a while since I actually studied and I think that’s why most school activities have been cancelled. Like, on Wednesday we were to have sports and I’d been looking forward to it forever so I had my sport wear and shoes packed in an extra bag which I took to school. I didn’t waste time to get to the field when it was time for sports and although it took a while for me to get a chance to run, I didn’t lose spirit but just when I was about to run, they announced that sports was cancelled and we should go have club activities instead! And club activities are boringggg!

The announcement went, “All students should go to their clubs and blah blah blah, there is no sports practice-“. I obviously inserted the “blah blah blah” part myself cause I stopped listening for a while. Gosh, those words annoyed the heck outta me! Anyway, we got back to our classes with forty minutes till closing time so, instead of having club and society and blah blah blah, we had a study session in my class. And in no time we were on our way home *smiles*.

I remember Monday and Tuesday being horrible. On Monday, my entire class got punished by a teacher from 1st through 5th period which was after break. So, we spent the whole morning from about 8am to 12 noon on our knees and it rained afterwards. Tuesday, I got to school really early and had free time before the morning assembly to organize my stuff. Everyone in my class is on a noisemaking fast and I can’t express how proud I am of them for doing it!

The previous weekend, I spent my time reading a storybook, watching tv and riding my bicycle. There’s more to it than that obviously and I will go into details. OMG yeah, I just remembered! A lot of things happened on Saturday and I’m gonna list them out:

1st- I planned to wake up by 10:30am but my dad had me up by 8.

2nd- I swept the whole upstairs down to the staircase.

3rd- I mopped the whole of the upstairs down to the last step of the staircase. Then some plumbers arrived and wanted to fix some stuff...or plumb haha *clears throat* which was sometime around 10am. So...

4th- I used this opportunity (while the plumbers were *chuckles* ... plumbing) to take a shower.

5th- Everyone, including my sister, had had breakfast, except me. So I had to eat after completing all my chores which included manual laundry *sighs*.

6th- I had breakfast sometime around 10:45. Afterwards I needed my food to digest so I went to my room and sat down with the third book of the WISHING CHAIR series by my all-time fave author, Enid Blyton. (May she rest in peace)

So, around 11:45, I had finished reading The Wishing Chair and I was reading The Goblin's Toy Shop and other stories by...my fave author (again) Enid Blyton. I just love her books. They are more than amazing and creative. Sometimes I wish I was a character in her book, watching all those fairies and gnomes and elves and pixies and goblins. Or living in those tiny fairy villages filled with fairy folk with tiny houses, clothes and stuff. Sooo cute and magical.

Later on, I went outside to ride while the plumbers were still plumb-I mean working haha. I had been riding with my brothers for about 30 minutes when Sophie and her brothers, Kevin & Oscar showed up. They are neighbours...the annoying, bratty kind. I can't stand them, ever and so to prevent any drama or fight from breaking out, I dropped my bike and went inside. Well, my brothers play football with her brothers but that doesn't mean they are friends. Plus they are way younger than I am. Sophie's like 10 or something and she's the oldest of all three.

Anyway, back inside, I picked up the book I was reading and I successfully read about eight different stories. I read The Little Chatterbox, The Peculiar Boots, The Wonderful Doll, The Enchanted Button, The Magic Rubber, The Pixie In The Pond, Too Good To Be True, and Porridge Town...and I think I have written enough.

Sometime around 12:30pm, Tony and his cousin-whom I don't know-came out and we were riding. Well, I was riding again. I left to go inside-can't remember why but when I came out again, I decided to help Dani, Tony's two 'n half-year-old sister with her toy car or something. I had to push her around and trust me that was work. No, she's not fat but the car was.Tony: Thank God!

Tony: Thank God!

Me: (In my mind: Don't rejoice yet...) I'll be going inside soon.

Tony: Why?

Me: (IMM: because I live there) Because I have something to do!

Jsuk (just so you know), IMM stands for In my mind.

Tony: And is it more important than taking care of a baby?

Me: (IMM: She's not my baby or responsibility...big brother!) She's not a baby!

Tony: She's two years old.

Me: Okay so maybe she's a baby but she's your responsibility. I mean she's your sister-(IMM: and you've been playing around)-and I'm tired of pushing her around.

Tony: Please.

Me: I've gotta go.

Tony: Please. Then he turns around and I run inside. I didn't really go outside for the rest of the day cause I had to read, watch tv, eat and play games.

Then he turns around and I run inside. I didn't really go outside for the rest of the day cause I had to read, watch tv, eat and play games.

On Sunday, I woke up early around 6:30am and got to church early hoping there'll be drama today.

You see "drama" as I call it, is not acting or performing. It's like trouble, argument, fight or disaster between unmarried adults ranging between 20-30 years. It's like a disastrous drama. Oouu I can't wait for today's disaster. It'll be fun.

So, no drama happened-unfortunately.

Well, I made my hair and returned home around 2:30pm. And I had lunch while watching tv. Then after some time, my brothers and I went outside to ride with Tony since we got tired of TV and stuff.

Then we played this game that's kinda like hide and seek but no one really has to hide. It's called 'catcher'. All the kids playing have to gather around and stick out one of their feet, joining it to the others' feet side by side. So some random person does a count using some nursery rhymes and the last person whose feet the song stops at, becomes the catcher while the other kids scatter.

Hey, that rhymed. So, yeah we did a lot of running around and it was fun.

Then later, my sister came outside and took the bike from me to ride. This is why I hate sharing and collective ownership. I got lonely cause others were riding and I wasn't. She dropped it for a while and went inside and just when I wanted to take it, she came back again. I left to give the drink some water since I was thirsty. Later on, I went outside to ride again and this time we played catcher while riding on bikes. It was fun until Tony had to leave because he had an outing with his dad.

Last Thursday, immediately after assembly, my class and its occupants were making a whole lotta noise and we got punished. We spent hours on our knees and you’d think that was bad but it got worse when our free period got stolen by the Business Studies teacher. We have Home Ec. for the first and second periods and our teacher was absent which was a huge relief cause we didn’t have to crawl our way to the lab.

Unfortunately, the Business Studies teacher took over even though we had his class for the fourth period. I mean, 'Hello! Can't we get a break from learning?'

We were like, meant to be free and I would’ve gladly used the excuse of having to read my books when I'd actually gist with my friends for the next hour and twenty minutes! Plus, Home Ec. was for two periods and one period is forty minutes.

‘’But no oo! You just wanna convey your messages on business to us and digress every minute to a rather unimportant topic like hmm let's say what happened in your church on Sunday. Y’know stuff we’re clearly not interested in!’. Of course, I said all of that in my head. I don't look for trouble except when I know there is no threat. But our Business studies teacher is a huge threat, trust me. He's got the nice, easy-going face, laid back and all but get that man annoyed and you've unleashed the gates of hell.

So, quick question...does hell actually have gates? Ok just kidding, actually I'm not cause I hear that a lot but oh well, I'd rather not know.

Don't want any bad thoughts up in my head.

Anywho, we spent practically the whole day on our knees and I’ve marked it on my calendar as: "THE WORST DAY!”

Time to digress...I miss the twins so much. And I didn't watch Twist of Fate yesterday.

Oh and guess what? No need imma just tell you. I'm gonna be using a lot of abbreviations to write. For example:

SSS - simple, short and straightforward.

BTW - between.

IMO - in my opinion.

ASAP - as soon as possible.

SAP - soon as possible.

FFO - for food only.

JSUK - just so you know-I formed this one.

FYI - for your information.

BFF - best friends forever.

CFF - close friends forever.

ABCD - anybody can dance.

AKA - also known as.

OOP - out of point.

And that’s about my life for the past 2 weeks. Now, I’m off to watch Moana which I’ve become obsessed with. I even learnt the lyrics to my fave songs in the movie.

Laters!
