Arc 4: Awakening - Chapter 1

Hours later*

Daisuke wanders the streets with a blank look on his face, showing how indifferent he is to everything. Nothing seems to excite him except sex and the time when he finds out that he has Omnifabrication.

The looks he got from the crowd were nothing to worry about. Not when most of them seemed more curious about the new face in town.

He reached into his inner jacket to pull out the paper with the future routes and discovered that it was empty, which annoyed him because he managed to get everything he needed in this world in one day. But he didn't leave this world for another, mostly because the will of the planet didn't seem to care about his existence.

It is as if the will of the planet has given up on everything and is just waiting for something to happen. This confuses Daisuke to no end. Even more confusing is the fact that he can just summon anyone with the Holy Grail, and the will of the planet still doesn't care. Of course, he wouldn't let anyone from the Nasuverse run around in this world. After all, he can't let them destroy this world when he finally arrives in a world that isn't out to get him.

Perhaps he will bring the others out later. For now, he will just enjoy doing what he can in this world for as long as he can, without having to worry about the will of the planet doing everything in its power to send him away.

As he exited through the south gate outside of Axel. Daisuke takes his time to head over to where the giant toads are.

An hour later*

Daisuke takes his latest creation out of the Gate of Babylon.

A large cross-shaped with a futuristic-style gun. The Punisher.

It is a mixed version of the one from the Trigun series, where it has a machine gun in the front and a rocket launcher in the back. The difference here is that thanks to the modification done to it. It also has the laser cannon from the movie. Along with the side arms of the cross, it opens to reveal a storage bin for eight pistols, four on each side, but instead of that. It generates an infinite number of pistols and different types of ammo. As well as among other things.

All thanks to the use of the Teigu: Pumpkin as the primary material for the creation of the Punisher.

Daisuke tapped the center of the large cross, causing the two sides to open and reveal rows of eight pistols. They moved independently and floated in the air, with more pistols appearing where the previous set had been and flying out, repeating this for a while.

In no time, a vast number of floating pistols covered the sky and all together, each pistol aimed at each type of toad monster, killing them all instantly with a shot to the head. After that, all the pistols in the sky instantly disappeared as if they had never been there.

Daisuke put the Punisher away, then used The World to stop time briefly to allow Rashomon to collect all the dead toads and pile them up near everyone before The World resumed the flow of time.

"I may have overdone it." Daisuke mumbles to himself.

All because he wanted to test his latest creation.

Although he could have easily tested it in the Katekyo Hitman Reborn world, it would have made too much noise. While in Konosuba; well, the gods themselves wouldn't care that much since they barely pay attention to this world, except for Eris, who plays as a Thief, and Aqua, who was forced to come here. Besides, he felt that the gods of Konosuba were too busy entertaining themselves to care that much about this world, except for the low population, which is solved by sending dead people from a parallel earth here.

"There's never such a thing as overdoing it." Esdeath appears behind Daisuke, walks to the side, and looks at all the dead giant toads. "So, what's the plan for dealing with the giant toads?"

"Just sell them." Daisuke gave Esdeath a look, causing her to roll her eyes at him and expand her shadow until it formed a huge mouth to swallow all the dead giant toads. Then, the huge mouth swiftly shrinks down and back into shadow of the same shape as Esdeath as before.

"Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't you just make all the money in the world? Isn't that how you paid for your Adventurer's Card?" Esdeath looks at Daisuke with a raised eyebrow.

"No. I found money that people keep dropping and not picking up." Daisuke replied. "Anyway, the tests are over. Time to go back."

"I feel like it was pointless to come out here." Esdeath frowns as she walks beside Daisuke back to Axel instead of switching to Rashomon.

"Testing my stuff is important." Daisuke ignores the fact that he has yet to test the Tsumukari Muramasa. But more out of the fact that it's too important and he won't disrespect it by using it on giant toads. Although he did disrespect the Punisher a bit.

"I swear you do a lot of random things in the name of plans, Master." Esdeath shakes her head. "You remind me of all those in my world who are bizarre in more ways than one."

The irony was not lost on Daisuke, but he remained silent and continued on his way to the Adventurer's Guild to sell all the giant toads he had killed.

A few hours later*

Daisuke ignores the shocked looks he gets as he puts away all the money he earned from the toads he sold.

He was minding his own business while fiddling with the Adventurer's Card, showing in plain sight that he was doing something after leveling up from all the toads he had killed.

"Is his class really the Magic Item Craftsman?" Someone whispers; well, they tried to as they were too shocked to realize they were still speaking in their normal voice level.

"Yeah, all those that were there early today had heard that his class is the Magic Item Craftsman upon registering." Another person spoke up. "My question is, what kind of magic item did he create to kill all those toads?"

"Better yet, what kind of magic item did he use to carry all those toads? There are still a lot of people out in the back, staring in shock at all the dead toads. It must be the entire toad population outside of Axel." A third person spoke next. "I'm willing to bet that one of the snitches is going to make a lot of money once they inform the nobles, and anyone with high status is going to go crazy once they find out that someone created something that can carry so much on their person without showing any signs on their body."

Daisuke frowns; honestly, he forgot that this world has an aristocracy. Maybe he will have to kill the royal family as he did back in Akame Ga Kill, but because they are more annoying than having Teigu for him to steal.

"Greetings!" Someone sat down in front of Daisuke without asking for permission to sit at the same table as him. "I see you are alone and have no party! How about I help you out by joining you? What do you say?"

A random woman with a modest figure, short brown hair, and a bob haircut. Dressed in a semi-revealing outfit suitable for a sexy thief to distract men while she stealthily steals whatever is valuable on the men.

Daisuke didn't have to guess that this female adventurer has the Thief class and that he had received so much money. It's not hard to figure out that she has a hidden motivation.

"He is with me. Back off." Esdeath suddenly appears behind the female thief.

Esdeath's sudden appearance caused the eyes of many onlookers to widen in shock and fear. Also, the bloodlust that Esdeath unleashed caused almost everyone to piss themselves and quickly look away as if they were having a very important conversation.

The female thief receives the full force of Esdeath's bloodlust, which fortunately knocks her unconscious. Unable to cope with such intense bloodlust, and much to the relief of everyone else. Esdeath immediately suppresses her bloodlust after seeing the female thief down for the count.

All of this happens within seconds of Esdeath's sudden appearance.

"Someone move her." Esdeath glared at one of the nearby employees, who let out a tiny squeak and quickly did as she was told.

However, the female staff member barely made it a few steps before she collapsed to her knees. Still shaken by Esdeath's intense bloodlust.

Esdeath clicked her teeth, then she grabbed the unconscious female thief by the back of her hair and threw her roughly to the side before sitting down in the same spot where the female thief was sitting.

"So, did I help you or did I accidentally save that girl's life?" Esdeath asks in a serious tone, causing those who are still eavesdropping to tense up.

"A little of both." Daisuke said calmly, and then he saw Aqua and Kazuma coming through the front door.

Daisuke watches as the two of them talk to Luna, who is the favorite of those who visit the guild for whatever reason, because she is the most beautiful woman compared to the others.

"Would it kill you to say that I helped you more than I accidentally helped that random thief?" Esdeath leans on the table and thrusts her breasts out a little, not caring that she has done so.

"I could, but that would be a lie." Daisuke replies.

He finds it funny that neither Aqua nor Kazuma notice how tense it is here and hasn't noticed how everyone avoids looking in his direction.

"Whatever." Esdeath huffs. "What's next? Do you want me to hunt other monsters? Hopefully, I can find a challenge."

"Not too sure at the moment." Daisuke shrugs.

Well, it is more like he now has a new interest in seeing what Megumin, aka the Archwizard who specializes in Explosion Magic and is part of the Crimson Demons who should join Kazuma's party today, would do to show off since all the giant toads within a few miles outside of Axel are dead. For that, she will need a new target, but he wonders what that could be.

"Any chance of me meeting your Servants? The ones who took me out?" Esdeath asks with a flicker of mixed emotions in her eyes that didn't escape Daisuke's eyes.

Daisuke also noticed that the listeners were even more shocked when they heard that someone like Esdeath had been defeated. No doubt, they are seriously reconsidering their options after going through another series of adjustments.

"Maybe. I have to decide the best time to come over." Daisuke lets a small grin appear on his face. "After all, just one of them is enough to deal with all the adventurers in Axel."

"That underestimates their fighting ability." Esdeath rolls her eyes. "Even I can do that easily. In addition, not all of your Servants specialize in combat."

"Either way, you won't meet them today." Daisuke can sense Esdeath's desire for a rematch, but one on one with either Artoria or Setanta, then later with the other.

Of course, Daisuke knew when Esdeath learned of Scathach and Altera's fighting abilities. She will have a fit, not to mention the other overpowered characters in the Nasuverse who could easily bring about the end of humanity, who can be summoned as a Servant.
