Chapter 5

Two weeks had passed since the encounter between Nora Ephron and Connor.

Today, Ellie finally couldn't help herself, so when Connor finished his performance, she struck up a conversation with him, saying, "Hello."

Connor, who finished his performance a little earlier today, was surprised to hear someone calling him. When he turned his head, he saw the blond lady with the same hair color as his. He was surprised because he hadn't expected her. During this time, he noticed that she came here really only to listen to singing; she never drank.

He politely replied, "Hello."

After that, Ellie invited him to discuss something with her.

Seeing that it was a little earlier, he accepted her invitation, all the while feeling curious.

After they started discussing, he discovered that she was really interested in music and was even a little professional. So they started discussing, and she said to him that she was a student of the music academy. Then he also mentioned that he was an actor, and he was surprised to find out that she also liked movies. After discovering that they shared the same passion, they started having a good discussion, laughing from time to time. What Connor didn't know was that today, Meg wanted to give him a surprise. So she came to the bar, but upon seeing him talking and laughing happily with another woman, she became really angry and disappointed.

Then she returned home. About forty minutes after she returned, Connor also returned home. She knew that he didn't cross the line and said to herself,But the seed of doubt was already planted in her heart.

Seeing that Meg was a little sad, he hugged her and said, "What's happening? Why do you look so sad?"

Not detecting the scent of another woman on him, she replied, "I am just a little confused."

Thinking that she was confused about her career, he replied, "Don't worry. Everything will be alright."

After that night, Meg was always a little awkward towards Connor, but he didn't think much about it.

Now, he was thinking about his plan because before his plan was to forge some good relationships with future superstars, directors, or producers before they became popular. But now it seemed unnecessary because if he secured the role of Harry in "When Harry Met Sally," then he would really become popular in 1989.

Like the other day, he was still looking for some auditions in the guild when he saw something that caught his eye. It was an audition for the film "Big." If he remembered correctly, this film should have already begun filming, and Tom Hanks should play the role of Josh Baskin. But now it seemed it had not begun. Thinking about it, if Tom Hanks didn't take the role, they would really be troubled to find the actor who could play the role as they wanted. After all, the producer and the screenwriter are women, and the budget is just about 16 million. How could those movie stars pay attention to such a small role? Connor hadn't recruited an agent because he knew that he would be restricted if he chose an agent now. As he was just a small actor, the agent would choose the roles for him, and that would definitely restrict his biggest advantage.

After going to the audition place, he saw that there were about twenty people, and it seemed they didn't take the role seriously; they just wanted to test their luck.

In the audition room, Penny Marshall, Gary Ross, and Anne Spielberg were a little worried because Twentieth Century Fox planned to release the film in June next year, but the film still had not started filming.

After many people auditioned, they still hadn't found the actor they were looking for. When the next contestant arrived, he looked like a quiet guy. Yet here, the protagonist is a naughty child who suddenly becomes an adult because of his wish.

Penny Marshall said, "Hello, can you introduce yourself?"

Connor nodded and said, "My name is Connor O'Riordan. I am sixteen years old and am from Ireland," replied with an American accent, thanks to the fact that he was an American in his last life.

At the same time, they were shocked because in their perception, he should at least be in his twenties.

Gary Ross asked, "How many movies have you played in?"

Connor shook his head and replied, "I came to Hollywood two months ago and have not played any roles. But in my hometown, I was the best."

Gary Ross was disappointed, but out of professional ethics, he said, "Can you play the role of a thirteen-year-old kid who suddenly wakes up and finds himself becoming an adult?"

Connor nodded, closed his eyes for about ten seconds, recalled how Tom Hanks played, and suddenly changed his aura. He did exactly the same as Tom Hanks in the movie. When he opened his eyes, he looked like the boy who wakes up and realizes he's become an adult. There's a moment of shock as he looks around his surroundings, trying to make sense of what's happened. He touches his face, his body, and examines himself in the mirror, incredulous at the sight of his adult form. As he begins to understand the magnitude of the situation, a mix of excitement and trepidation washes over him. He's both thrilled at the prospect of experiencing adulthood and overwhelmed by the suddenness of the transformation.

Penny Marshall, Gary Ross, and Anne Spielberg were all shocked and incredulous about how he played everything naturally.

When Connor opened his eyes, he found that they were looking at him with widened eyes, which he found a little funny.

After that, he gave his number to them, and they said that they would call him and inform him of the result of the audition tomorrow.
