The Throne Room

Rwel and Des walked over to a wooden table covered with chopped up pieces of various fruits and veggies. Rwel got some large and small pots, handing Des the small ones.

"Just sweep all the pieces into the pots until they're full," Rwel says as he holds a pot up to the edge of the table and uses his other arm to pull pieces into it. Des does this, some pieces falling to the floor, and quickly fill up the two pots.

"Alright, now follow me out to the pig pen," He picks up the two large pots and Des picks up his. They hear more of the Sedar and Cheral's conversation as they pass by.

"When are you going to find someone? You ain't getting any younger you know, and being a general isn't going to make you live long,"

"I, will, live long cause I'm focused on how to live and not how to love. And besides, I have plenty of women asking if I'm single,"

"Oh really? Name one,"

"Don't worry," Rwel says as they're halfway through the hall, "They should be done by the time we get back. Before Sedar was in charge of training you, they'd have that conversation every other day, it never gets anywhere,". The two leave the hall making a left further into the castle. They get to the end of the hall where it splits off to the left and right and in front lay a large pair of black double doors with dark purple, each door has a cross with curved edges engraved with dark purple on it.

"That's the throne room, where Getron spends most of his time, planning and discussing war plans with Sedar and Hex," Rwel says before heading down the left hall.

"Whose Hex?"

"Hm, you haven't met him yet? That's odd, that he hasn't introduced himself to you yet, Getron made a pretty big deal about you joining us. Anyways, uh, Hex is up their with Sedar in terms of rank, but, is more of Getron's left hand man. He's a sorcerer like my wife, but he delves into the darker side of magic..." Rwel looks slightly discomforted just speaking about it. The two reach the end of the hall where a large wooden door lay in front of them. They open the door up to a large stable where several horses are being fed by some soldiers, the other end of the stables has no wall, opening up to a vast field where walls of mountain can be seen in the distance.

As they walk past them not a single person says hi or some much as acknowledges their presence, and Rwel makes no attempt to make him and Des known. They walk out of the stables and turn to the right where large wooden pens are, some with chicken, some with pigs, and others with cows. They walk past the cow pens and to the pig pens which have several mud puddles in them. As they approach the pen the pigs start moving around and squealing in anticipation.

"Just chuck what's in your pots into the feeder," Rwel says lifting his up and pouring the contents into a large wooden feeder laying against the fence. The pigs start shoving each other aside as they start gobbling away at their meal. Des empties his buckets to the pigs' delight.

"Man," Rwel says as they head back, "You're lucky you joined at this time. Not too long ago, we were having to hunt almost all the time in order to feed all the soldiers we have, now we finally have a stable food source," The two make their way back to the kitchen where Sedar and Cheral are just finishing up putting away some utensils and other dishes.

"Good, about time you got back," Sedar says as he walks over to them, "It's about time we ate something and got back to training," He says. He walks over to the cabinet and pulls out some cheese and apples.

"Looks like we're done here," Cheral says to Rwel, "Guess we'll be taking our leave to check on the armory, see ya later," She says waving goodbye.

"See ya," Rwel waves goodbye too as they head out.

Sedar and Des sit at the table in the middle of the kitchen as they eat their meal, the only thing to break the silence being the sound of the great hall door swinging open from Cheral and Rwel leaving. They're almost done eating when they hear a voice.

"Ah! There you are!" The two turn to see a skinny man in a purple shirt, parts of it made out of black see through netting, and black shorts making his way to the kitchen. He has a mischievous smile.

"I've been looking for you two," He says as he enters the kitchen.

"What is it you want Hex?" Sedar asks, already looking irritated.

"Oh please, you know I don't enjoy talking to you anymore than you enjoy talking to me. I don't want anything from you, Getron does. He wants to speak with you and Des immediately,". Sedar seems a bit confused.

"Alright," He replies as he stands up, "Come on," He says nodding to Des. The three of them head out of the kitchen, but as they pass through the doorway, Hex seemingly disappears.

"Hex prefers to use reflections when delivering messages from Getron around the castle," Sedar explains, "He doesn't like leaving his side," The two walk down the hall up to the large double doors, "Just follow my lead," And he pushes one of the doors open. They walk into a giant room, almost as long as the great hall. Leading up to a small set a steps, where a large black throne sits at the top, lays a long purple carpet with black sides. Hanging from the ceiling is a chandelier with vibrant purple flames emanating from its candles.

As they walk up to the throne Des gets a good look at Getron. Sitting in the throne, the man is in full body armor except no helmet. In the center of his chest plate lay a purple medallion with the same symbol that's on the doors. His armor reflects the room, the purple flames catching the eyes. He rubs the side of his face along his scruffy grey beard, with a stone expression. To the left stands Hex the same mischievous look he had back in the kitchen, and to the right stands a large spear with a purple gem in it, a strange ghostly red mist flowing out of it.

Sedar kneels down, Des quickly doing the same.

"We came as soon as you called," Sedar says as he looks up at Getron.

"Of course," Getron replies with a casual tone, "You always do. You may stand," Sedar and Des stand back up, "I know you were given two weeks to train him, however something unexpected has caused things to change. Our spies believe the three kingdoms are already going after the fort in the upper regions of the South, which means we must make our move first. Which leads me to ask you this, Sedar, do you believe Des is ready for his first mission?"
