Whispers. That's what the campus was filled with on her first day back. It was like her first day the year before except, there weren't as many scowls of disgust and hatred. People were curious creatures. She went through her routine as normal. She went to her onsite classes and headed to the library to edit videos, study, do homework for onsite and online classes, or her market research job. It was just the first week and she had most of the assignments in all of her syllabi prepped.

"Hey, Katie," A female voice greeted and she glanced up to see Emma Lacey.

"Emma! Hi!" She smiled, genuinely at the younger woman. "I'm sorry I never contacted you. I misplaced your number that day."

"Oh it's fine. I figured you were wary of people around here." The younger woman shrugged.

Katie pulled out her phone and opened her contacts. "Please add it." Emma looked surprised but, grinned and did as she asked.
