**Alarm rings**

"It was a dream!" I said as I reach out to put off the alarm and I check my phone it's 7 am 

"Why did it feel so real?" I shook my head and got out of my bed.

As usual, I meet Jenny on my way to school

Jenny- so did you prepare anything till now?

What do you mean? – I said 

Jenny says- Suze! We're supposed to address a speech and it's the day after tomorrow, you're aware of it, right? You told me you're going to do it before going to bed

I said- Omg *sighs* I totally forgot about it! I was so sleepy last night I just don't know when did I fall asleep.

Are you okay? You don't do that, you're a good girl- says Jenny while raising her eyebrows

I said- Yeah, I was just not feeling good I'll do it by tonight 

Jenny- okay, okay so, I have prepared mine and it's literally about us cause that's the only thing I enjoyed!

I say- Aw!! I love you too *puppy eyes*

Umm no! Away!! Away from me!

So, how are things with nick? - Jenny

I say- I don't know he's just not acting right. He didn't even pick my call or reply to my texts

Jenny- Woah so your sweets boyfriend is showing his colors already. That's actually a bit too early. Wasn't expecting that really.

I say- I don't know. I mean. I can't force him to stay.

Jenny- Well I'm with you we're going to the same college!

*As I enter the corridor of our school, I see nick standing right next to my locker*

*I felt the hesitation as I walk towards my locker*

"We need to talk" - Nick  

*My heart skipped a beat as I hear him say these words*

Jenny- "Um, I'll leave you two alone"  *whispers* just hit me up me if you need me.

I asked- What is it?

Nick- Well, uh I don't think it's the right time to tell you this

Tell me what? - I asked in a hesitation

Um, meet me at our spot near the Basketball court later after your class – says Nick as he leaves.

*I know what's coming, but I don't think I'm ready for it. I feel it's too soon for us to say our goodbyes

As I turn to leave, I see Bridget coming my way

"I guess this is how it was supposed to be" – Says Bridget

I say- "What do you mean?"

Bridget- "Aren't you getting it, dummy! He's planning on finally ending things with you"

I know Bridget is the dumbest person I know and she's probably saying some weird dumb stuff but how did she know all about us? why am I getting these weird thoughts?

Hey, Bridget? – I said as I begin to ask her the questions.

Bridget- Yeah?

I say- How?

"Wait! What am I doing even? I know she's a toxic person why am I even asking her anything" 

Jenny- Hey, Suze!! What do you think you're doing? Huh! I hear Jenny coming my way as I see her from the corner of my eyes

"Oh right! Of course! The best friend is here" – Bridget

Jenny- Shut the hell up! Nobody's talking to you move your ass up. "Susan, you know she's fucked upright? And she's going to fuck you up as well!" 

*Jenny grabs me by my  wrist and drags me to the nearest classroom* 

"I've told you she's not good, you shouldn't listen to anything she says" -Jenny 

"I know I was just really distracted from what Nick said to me a moment ago." – I say 

Jenny- I don't know what Nick said to you but never pay attention to what Bridget says.

You know she's a bitch, she almost broke our friendship and you don't want to fall for her dirty tricks again. And we all know she's after Nick for so long and he picked you.

Yeah, you're right, thanks to Jenny, you really helped me back there. – I say as I hug her tightly. 

*I leave to meet Nick, my hearts pounding but I'm ready for whatever he has to say to me* 

*I see Nick standing in his white sweats and red Jordan shoes, he's smiling "why is he smiling?" I don't understand. *

*As I approach closer* 

"Hi, Did I tell you that you look beautiful today in your beige outfit"- Nick 

"Yeah, you just did" – I say in a hesitant voice 

"I have good news for you" – Nick 

"Good news?" – I asked all confused 

*Is he onto something? Is he high? *

"Are you high?"- I ask Nick 

"What, No!" -Nick says as he laughs 

He continues to speak- "so, I wanted to tell you that I've been working on a thing."

A thing?" -I asked

I was planning on telling you this on our graduation day but I noticed you're acting weird and I thought I was hurting you also; I just couldn't wait to tell you!!

*I think I'm going to die in curiosity! * -I think to myself as I raise my eyebrows.

I'm going to Berkeley. Yup, the same Berkeley that you're going to – Nick

No way! You got to be kidding! - I say as I'm shaking

I'm not babe! - Nick

*I jumped to hug him tight*

I was working on my resume and I just had to get in! I did everything I could and it was the basketball that got me in. I just want to be with you, I love you, Susan. - Nick

                   *** At jenny's place ***

OMGGG! You're not going to believe this! -I say 

I know- Jenny says smiling 

Wait, How do you know? - I say in shock

You banged that hot guy from the book store, right!? - Jenny 

What! No!! - I say

Jenny, it's none of the above, Nick's going to Berkeley! - I say

How's that good news? - says jenny with a disgusting expression on her face.

We're going to be together and happy! - I say

I mean... if you're happy then I'm happy. Well, I guess he can't bang chicks behind your back now. -says Jenny 

Should I sleepover at your place? I'm so happy! Let's celebrate! - asked jenny 

Oh yes! Of course, I always want reasons to celebrate! I should roll some weed! - says jenny smirking 

You've got weed?!- I asked jenny all shocked.

Yes, madam, I do. -Jenny mimics a French accent.

I'm going to order some pizza with extra cheese -I say mimicking Italian accent.
