"Wait, King Darius!" King Raymond tried to stop them. "You cannot just take my daughter away like that!"

Darius did not bother turning. "Your daughter has decided to follow me out of her own will. Who am I to say no to that?"

Hearing his words, Constance's cheeks flushed. She turned to wave goodbye to her parents. "I will be alright, papa. King Darius likes me, he will treat me well."

Felix wanted to howl in laughter when he heard her statement. Like? Darius didn't 'like' any woman. In fact, it was rare for him to know their names. It was only Delaney who seemed to make his mind a royal mess.

Despite claiming to like the woman so much that he wanted to make her his wife, Darius didn't so much as hold her hand. He led her to the carriage and let her sit on her side, without saying a word.

Constance was unhappy when he didn't make a move on her. Had she said or done something wrong?

"Your Majesty…" She cooed, inching closer to him.
