"So...what did he say?" Edward asked before his dad could once Lisa returned.
"Lian agreed to attend dinner. He will be here in twenty minutes." Lisa replied.
Lian's face was a mask of practiced calmness as he looked at all the people that were at his front door.
Lisa had told him a few details over phone and even though he was really happy for her, Lian was also a little nervous to meet her new relatives.
His metallic grey eyes met those of the infamous emperor Han and Lian was not at all surprised that the man was looking at him with a silent glare.
He wasn't famous for no reason. The man inspired both respect and fear at just a glance.
Edward's facial expression was neutral and that of the woman beside him was mix of scrutiny and curiosity.
Lisa broke the tension by moving to his side and casually holding his hand before making the introductions.
Lian glanced down at her, feeling instantly relaxed by her presence at his side.
