Weapon Soul was a kind of blessing bestowed to a person by Heaven when he was born.

When the Heavens were born, its powers were divided into nine parts, and later those nine parts changed into nine Heavenly Weapons.

Sometimes a person might not be matched with any of the Heavenly Weapons, and in that case, he would be bestowed with a weapon soul that matches his personality by the power of the entire heavens itself.

So basically, The Weapon Souls were nine types as there were nine heavenly weapons. These weapon souls are called primary weapon souls. Weapon Souls other than primary weapon souls were called variant weapon souls.

Primary weapon souls were Sword, Sphere, Saber, Shield, Axe, Hammer, Bow, Staff, and Trident. Variant weapon soul were daggers, claws, poles, spikes, etc.,

In Tian Yun Continent, any type of weapon soul was divided into nine levels.

Every person on the continent was bestowed by a weapon soul, and there would be no one who won't get a weapon soul.

Most people on the continent would get only a level one weapon soul, and level nine weapon souls were as rare as phoenix feather and unicorn horns.

The Weapon soul wouldn't give you any kind of combat power, it only helps you communicate the heavens, and you have to depend on yourself for actual combat.

When a person turned three months old, the weapon soul in his body would be condensed. So after that, a person's weapon soul level could be measured.

They were two types for measuring the weapon soul of a person. The first type was most and commonly used in the Tian Yun continent.

In the first type, there was some kind of stones that are sensitive to weapon souls, those stones were embedded in a stone platform which was about four feet tall, and that Platform was engraved with some formations by a formation master, and that platform was used to test weapon soul of a person.

A child would be placed on that platform then, someone would operate the formations of the platform, later it would show the level of weapon soul of the child.

The second method to test a person's weapon soul was through soul power. Every person on this continent had soul power, but not everyone was efficient in using soul power.

Generally, Alchemists, Weaponsmiths, Formation masters require high-level soul power and high-level control of this soul power in their professions.

A person who had a high-level soul power and high-level control over soul power, with a secret technique through the soul power, could determine the level of weapon soul. But this method sometimes wasn't accurate, but even so, this method could determine the level of weapon soul some way near the actual level.
