001 The Transmigration!

'Where am I?' a soul asked itself as it drifted through the dark void.

'Aren't I dead?' it asked itself again as it tried to open its eyes but failed.

'Agghh! Where the fuck am I?' it yelled, frustration and anger evident in its voice.

'Haah! Haaah!' the voice gasped in resignation. 'I hope I was able to save that mother and daughter….'

It mumbled to itself, thinking back to the moments before its death. It could still remember the faces of the pair, the shock on their faces as its soul left its body.

'I wonder if I can get another chance… I will cherish it and live as much as I can…'

The whole void shook as if the heavens had heard his prayers.

'W-What's happening?' the soul stuttered, but the phenomenon didn't stop; instead, it sped up.

TREMBLE

The void trembled as it began to collapse on itself. The process sped up by the second, and in a moment, it reached the soul.

"AAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!"

In a forest covered in dense trees that blocked the sunlight, there was a man lying in a pool of blood.

He had long black hair tied into a ponytail. His blue robes were torn, with them soaked in blood, giving off a metallic scent.

The man's face was pale but peaceful, as if he were a corpse.

Anyone would think that he is dead if not for his eyes moving around under his eyelids.

Soon, a frown developed on his face while he clenched his fists tightly as if he were in great pain.

But then, suddenly, he opened his eyelids, revealing his golden pupils.

"AAAAAGGGGGHHHH!!!"

The man yelled in shock as he sat upright, his back drenched in mud and blood.

"Haaah haaah haaah!"

The man gasped for air as he looked at his hands, "I'm alive…?" he mumbled, confused by the circumstances.

"I'm alive…"

"I'm alive!" the man exclaimed as he clenched his fist, his heart beating rapidly with excitement as he looked up at the sky.

"I'M ALIVE!!"

Rising up from the ground, the man looked around, a wide smile plastered on his face while golden eyes trembled with excitement.

"Heck yeah! I thought that was it for me! Whoo! Who thought I would transmigrate!"

The man exclaimed as he punched his fist in the air.

"Haa! All those prayers have been answered!" he muttered to himself as his smile turned smug.

"Heh heh! I wonder what world I transmigrated into…" he mumbled as he looked at his torn blue robes.

Squinting his eyes, he continued, "Hmm, looks like a cultivation world…"

The man relaxed his eyes while his smile widened, "Hell yeah! Just wait for me, arrogant young masters! I shall beat the shit out of you! My Jade beauties, your handsome young master is coming!"

The man rambled on for a few minutes before he got his act together.

"Well, that was awkward; it's good that no one is nearby," the man mumbled as he scratched his head.

"Anyways, shouldn't I get some super powerful system?" he asked out loud as he tilted his head.

'Hmmm, should I say it out loud?' he thought inwardly. He mused over it for a moment before deciding to say the words.

'Good! No one is there,' he mumbled as he looked around.

He then turned straight ahead; his back was straight as a pole while his eyes narrowed as he said, "Status open!"

The man's voice echoed through the dense trees while the man waited for something to happen.

The man's heart thumped with excitement as he waited with his fists clenched tightly.

"Come on, cone on,..." He mumbled and suddenly, a golden screen appeared before him.

"YES!" the man yelled in excitement as words began to appear on the golden screen.

"Fuck yeah!!" He punched the air several times while his heart pounded in excitement, 'I have got my own cheat!'

The man waited patiently as the system scanned something; what it was, the man didn't know. 'Whatever it is, I hope it has a starter pack for me!' the man thought with giddiness.

The man frowned when reading the series of texts, 'Two sets of memories…' he wondered.

'Must have belonged to the original soul of this body…'

As he mused, a sudden realisation struck him; his eyes widened while all colour drained from his face.

'From my extensive knowledge of culture, the transfer of memories is… painful!'

He turned towards the screen, which showed that the initiation was complete.

"No," a whisper escaped from his lips before guttural screams resounded through the trees.

"Aaaaghh!!"

The man clenched his head in pain as a foreign set of memories took root in his mind, overlapping with his existing memories.

Tears trickled down his cheeks as he experienced all the memories in a first person perspective.

The transfer took an hour before it ended.

But the man ignored the system as tears of rage filled his eyes. His pale face was flushed red while he clenched his jaw.

"Bastard!" he cursed out with hatred as a tear fell on the ground, "How are you even a human!?"

He took a deep breath, holding on to the rage as his golden eyes shone furiously. "Mother, sister, wait a little bit; I'm coming to get you!"
