Even though he's been sitting there for an hour now, Xavier never raised his head to look at him. It's as if the man is currently possessed by the God of Work! It's not bad either, since, even just for a moment, Raven's nervousness is slightly fading.

When Edward called and told him to go to Xavier's study room, he was actually just finished bathing. So he anxiously picked up the grey jogging pants and white T-shirt to wear. Letting Dwight to sleep alone is honestly bothering Raven, but, he can't do anything about it. Xavier knows what's good for his son.

"How's my son for you?"

He literally jolted when Xavier suddenly speaks. The man placed down all the papers he was holding and is now facing him seriously. Similar to the prosecutor who are interviewing you while trying to figure out what actually is in your mind.

The expression on his face didn't change. And for Raven, it got more colder than normal. He saw and met a lot of alphas in his life but Xavier is extremely different from them. There is no desire in his eye, no emotion that can be mistaken as attracted to something. Only coldness and distant. For Raven, Xavier is like a lake, covered with thick ice. Unlike ocean that you can at least prepare if it's quite wavy, the lake covers with ice can't be underestimated.

"H-Hes a good child. He's lively and even he can't speak well for now, he can understand what others tell him." Secretly trembling, he still managed to answer.

"About this Mama thing-"

"Please don't fire me!" Raven cut Xavier's words without hesitation. Just to turn pale after realizing it. "Ah- I-"

"Hah... I'm not going to fire you." Xavier said as he places his elbows on the table and place his chin on the back of his hands. He then look at Raven intently.

"Then, are you going to punish me? It's alright if you scold me or punish me. Just please don't fire me. I really need this job so-" Still anxious and nervous, Raven lowered his head as a sign of surrendering.

"Neither." Xavier said after letting out a sigh. "You'll work here for just a month so, Dwight might forget you after you left. And you two will not have a chance to go outside together too, so it's okay for now."

Raven eyes widened and a genuine smile ripped his mouth. "Yeah.. We may not." He said while nodding. "Thanks for understanding, sir." He also added. "Ah wait, you said we can't go out together, but how about tomorrow?"

Xavier paused. Yeah, tomorrow, is the schedule for monthly check up! If his son went to the hospital with this boy, then there is a possibility that he might call him Mama in front of the doctor! And the doctor is quite mouthy!

"Ehem.. Well, in that case, I'll go with you two. I'll bring him inside while you wait for us inside the car. Edward will accompany me inside the hospital." Xavier slowly stands up before continuing. "After that, you two can transfer to another car to go back home."

That's a great idea! Because Raven also don't want to expose himself to the public yet. Even it was over a month, he knows that the rumors about him is still fresh. Why wouldn't be? A male Beta, being raped by alphas is too shocking even for the elites!

Although, he doesn't know how Xavier know nothing about it. Or maybe he's just acting clueless to make him at ease? Not bad if he really does. Although it's a bit uncomfortable for Raven.

"Now, go back to your room. It's almost midnight. Take your rest."

Almost midnight?! How long did he stays there?! He didn't notice the time.

"Yes, thank you sir." Raven said as he stood up.

"En."

When Raven is out, Xavier stays in his study room but not to do his work. He approaches the cabinet at the corner of the room and open it. His collection of wines, greets him with manly scents. He picked one and took the wine glass too. Pouring an enough amount of liquid into it to satisfy his thirst.

3 years ago, Xavier was devastated when he heard the news that his wife left him to elope with his bestfriend. Living the 5 month old child who he doesn't know how to take care of. At first he tried to understand the situation but within a week of being unable to take good care of his child, Xavier decided to find a person to help him. And it was Edward.

When his wife left him for his bestfriend, even they just got married for both families profit, Xavier admits that it hits him real hard through insults. Imagine how it feels to be betrayed by your own best friend who you trusted for 20 years! Xavier's reputation dropped to zero that time. His father, who is British, left him with money. Although his wife's family compensated him with money too, Xavier never gave them a glance as he accepted it.

And just after three years, with those money, he bought an unfinished resort. He continued building it, developed it until it became Sunrise Hotel and resort. It takes for him a year to finally make it, and another year to make it to the top. In addition to that, last year, he also opened the 30 floors building in Manila, as Sunrise Hotel. People known him as a business prodigy, why not? Who can rise to the top in just three years?

Well, maybe if we are in year 2020's it's really impossible. But right now? In year 2061? Anything is possible.

Xavier gulped the remaining wine in his glass and went out after.

Come to think of it, his son's nanny is quite capable, isn't he? Although, there is something that sometimes caught his attention. That nanny, always flinched everytime he gets near him.

"Well, I don't care. As long as he do his job properly." Xavier mumbled.

Even he wasn't feeling good due to lack of sleep last night, Raven wakes up early to prepare for Dwight's monthly check up. He chose to wear his black T-shirt and white jogging pants, partnered with black rubber shoes. He's not rich but he at least good looking. Maybe it is the reason why those Alphas took him.

His blue eyes resembles the sky. His brown hair turned gold during sunset, not exactly changing color but, it perfectly matches the sunset.

"Mama!" Dwight is running towards him. Followed by his handsome father who is wearing a suit.

"Good Morning, Little sir." Raven stretches his arms to embrace the child. "You look so handsome today." He said with a smile.

"Mama.. Pretty."

"Pfft!"

Raven's face turned red after hearing Dwight, but he got more redder when he heard Xavier. Is the man laughing at him because Dwight called him pretty?! A man can also be pretty! What's wrong with him?!

"Really? I'm pretty?" Instead of giving attention to Xavier, Raven chose to focus on Dwight.

"Yes! Mama ish pretty!" Dwight gave him a kiss on his cheek before hugging his neck. "Pretty!"

Raven couldn't help but giggle. "Alright alright, I'm pretty. Thank you!" Dwight just giggled as his response to Raven.

"Enough now, Edward arrived and he's now waiting for us down stairs. Let's go." Xavier said before passing them.

The man is undoubtedly handsome. So it is not surprising that he encountered a nightmare before turning into cold hearted Alpha. Whoever sees him will surely fall in love.

Except Raven who actually feel scared of him, of course.

"Dwight, do you think, your father still loves your mother?" Raven whispered to the child while following Xavier.

"Daddy loves Mama." Dwight answered innocently.

Raven paused. Those words seemed wrong. Well, he knows Xavier loved his wife, but.. Yeah, there is something wrong with the words of Dwight, right?

"Good morning, Sir, Good morning little sir. The car is waiting outside, together with the other car you asked." Edward greeted the two masters while only nodded to Raven.

It doesn't matter, Raven thought that he is not that important, anyway.

"Good, let's go."

Raven continues to follow Xavier and couldn't stop himself from thinking. If Xavier hates Omega and female Beta, then is it possible for him to fall for male Beta?

He flinches with that thought. Then, maybe, Xavier can actually fall for Edward?!

"What kind of thoughts you have to make your face like you've seen a ghost?"

"Ugh!" Raven bumped into Xavier.

Fortunately, the man immediately supported his body not to fall. However, for Raven, it is not great to be saved. Especially if that person is an Alpha! His body started trembling and cold sweat envelopes him. His heart is as if it's racing, while his strength slowly leaving his muscles. This automatic and obvious reaction is visible only to Xavier who suddenly frown while grabbing Raven's waist.
