IRIS MISSING

Hey, are you done making up your rooms ready?  Mila asked the two teenagers who walked majestically as they chit-chatted, and they hadn't caught sight of her mother who was at the entranceway of the mansion when they were halted halfway. 

We will make them later, Mum. We just wanted to take a break and a short walk around the exterior of the mansion since the ride was about eight hours. We could at least know what the mansion looks like, as we stretch our legs for a couple of minutes before we resume.  Samantha answered.

 So you won't be building your rooms now, and it will have to wait, right? Mila inquired. Mum, we won't take long. Just a few minutes, then we will be back to make our rooms, Please just a casual walk.  Samantha stated with a pleading voice. 

" Will it be an issue if I take your phones tomorrow and come with them on Sunday evening? " Mila inquired with a profound voice. 

" But seriously, Mum, it is just taking a few glimpses of this place to familiarize ourselves with this Mansion and get to bond with the place. " Samantha stated.

Okay, I won't be ceasing you. Why don't you proceed on the adventure and forget about your phones?  Mila stated as she was about to leave. 

Okay, Mum, you don't have to worry about our rooms, we will make them ready right away. We are sorry that we upset you. " Nathan stated 

" Okay, and Samantha, I will be waiting for you in the kitchen to help me prepare supper after you are done with your room, So you better hurry up. " Mila so mother, stated before she made her way to the kitchen holding some groceries that were in the carrier bags in her hand. 

" Dad, Say something. " Samantha pleaded with a pitiful countenance. 

" What do you want me to say? " Emerson, her father, was fixing the flat wall television on the flat wall. 

" Dad, seriously, I hate it even more being here. " Samantha cursed before she started strolling her way up the stairway as tears dripped down her cheeks. 

" Sam, Sam, Wait. " Nathan called out to the lady who made her way up hastily, and he followed her until she found her at the corner of the balcony of her room. She clutched herself together as tears dripped down her eyes and her cheeks uncontrollably. 

" Hey, come, there is nothing to worry about, we are going to find a way out of here, I promise. " Nathan stated as she crammed her shoulder and her head lay on his shoulder as the warm rays of sun through the balcony came in contact with their skin they stayed for a while still quiet before Nathan broke the silence. 

 Do you still want a party? " Nathan inquired." Of course, yes, and I would like it to be a costume party. I hope they will make it, Samantha stated lazily.

 Okay, let's get our rooms done. Since Mum requires you to the kitchen, I will assist you first, then you can assist me halfway. Does that feel better? Nathan inquired as she helped her to stand back on her feet. 

 I think so, but I will feel at my best when people turn up on my birthday. At least I want to tell a story about it. Samantha stated before she started to open the wrapped cartons. It was about an hour ago when Nathan and Samantha finished rearranging Samantha's stuff in her room, and they had started to rearrange Nathan's room. They were halfway to finishing placing his stuff when they heard their mother calling out to them along the hallway.  Nathan, Samantha, Sam, Mila yelled before she got a response from Nathan. 

" Yes Mum, we are in my room. " Nathan replied in a deep voice. 

" What could it be this time, Mum, we are yelling at us for, Since she entered this mansion she has been upset by everything. " Samantha stated a few seconds before they could stroll outside, they as meant before with their mother, who was dripping with sweat all over her face. 

" Mum, are you alright? " Samantha inquired, worried.

No, I am... am not. Iris is missing or is he here with you?  Mother Inquired as she tried to breathe slowly as she held her chest. 

 No, Iris is not here with us. When did he go missing, Mum? Have you checked him in his room? He could be hiding, or maybe he is in his room asleep.  Nathan stated. 

" I have not yet checked and thought he was with you here. " Mila inquired.

 No, and we haven't seen him since we left him with Dad downstairs.  Mum, have you checked the room next to Nathan? Samantha inquired before her mother stormed to the other room. It was around six in the evening and darkness was approaching, since the sun had started to disappear from the sky. 

" Iris, Iris... Mila and her mother called out, but there was no one in there. 

" Let me check him in my room. "Samantha stated before she strolled to her room. 

" Iris, Iris... Samantha called out. 

" Mum, Iris is not in my room. " The tension was starting to increase as they all went to each door to the upper rooms and called out to Iris. They were checking Iris under the bed and inside the cabinet where they thought he could hide but couldn't find him. It was quarter to 7 pm and the sun had disappeared from the sky and darkness had commenced covering part of the sky and the weather had started to change as the night started to be cold and the crickets and other animals were making noises and each of them was inside the Mansion when the doorbell rang and everyone had gathered around in the sitting area and found Emerson who hovered to the door each with his or her heart racing against the chest. Emerson opened the door, 

"Iris, baby... Emerson stammered as he caught the being who stood in front of him.
