Soul broken

Zakai looked towards the figure clouded in light and muttered

"Who are you?" Zakai asked, watching as the figure came out of the light with a smile

"Im your sister, Lillia!" the girl gave a nod

Zakai pulled out of his sword "Are you really?" Zakai said not trusting her. after all, it was a 5 leads clover, a grimoire that consists of a devil, an impure and cunning race hellbent on possessing humans

the girl looked like him yes, with amber eyes, hazel skin and black long hair. she seemed to be the age of around 9, which didn't add up

the room was pure black, with the bottom being like a black liquid that left ripples every time he stepped on the black substance

Suddenly, Lilia started crying "It's....being so long...." She muttered, looking towards the liquid and making it shoot up with a twirl with her finger

"What happened to you?" Zakai said as he watched the little girl turn into a lady of his age

"Well, I'm supposed to be dead by all counts, but our father sealed me in this book, sealed with a magic stone." She said, "A human and spirit can become devils at any time, and you and Ahava were the ones that were never subjected to this."

"Ahava?" Zakai asked, fully trusting the girl and putting his sword away

"Laplace told me. we were triplets, me you and Ahava." Lilia muttered, her eyes fading into despair "Spirits and elf blood does not mix well with human blood you see." Lilia said, "Ahava consumed some of your magic and all of my magic at birth, destined to be one of the greatest mages in history." Lilia explained, "You still had your mana, but your mana would be x5 the amount right now if it wasn't for you getting your magic stolen." Lilia said, "As for me, I was close to being consumed in the womb, destined to be fuel to power both of you up."

Lilia twirled her fingers up, causing a seal to arise in the air

"Ouroboros magic," Lila said, twirling her fingers the black substance to shoot up "The magic to cheat death and be born anew." She muttered "In the womb, I managed to activate it. How did I do that?" She said "A person robbed of magic, how did I manage to do that?" Lila said "I didn't. a devil took over my body and corrupted magic power that wasn't mine overtook me." Lilia said, "I died then, not become nutrients for you two, but to become a host of a devil."

"Then, how did you get here?" Zakai muttered, looking at the girl who was standing at his height with horror

"your body partially absorbed the power of the devil too if I remember right, his name was...Laplace. an odd demon, of which I remember. he didn't wish to take over my body, which he did due to me dying, but was only interested in examining me and humankind, of which he took interest in. he didn't have the greed for my body, only the greed for knowledge, taboo for devil's."

"where is Laplace?" Zakai asked, drawing his sword

"Dead." Lila said, "For some odd reason, all he did was bring my soul back into my body and send memories about the future with a set of instructions. of course, he's still living in the underworld"

"Like what?" Zakai asked, not putting his sword in his sheath

"Not to let the elfes get the magic stones, to protect you, not to open the tree of Qliphoth and he told me that you shall meet with him one day," Lila muttered

"Oh, my pleasure." Zakai rolled his eyes "Why he must have some ulterior motive. and how did he send you into a book!"

"He didn't." Lila played with the magic, watching the black substance grew bigger and bigger "Ahava was born 2 months earlier than us, due to the mana that nourished her growth, making her overpowered for even a baby. good looking had overpowered mana reserves and great talent. meanwhile, I and you were born at the same time, in the middle of the elf massacre, an event held by those FUCKING HUMANS!"

Her rage built as she sent a pile of black sludge at the wall, causing it to reverberate

"I died at birth, I was a miscarriage baby for all they knew. but licht, our father, sealed me up with a magic stone, making it so a part of my corrupted soul would stick in a grimoire of a deceased elf member's grimoire" Lila raised her voice "16 WHOLE YEARS IVE SPENT IN HERE, THE ONLY SOURCE OF THE OUTSIDE WORLD AND THE LIFE I COULD HAVE IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE FUTURE I COULD NEVER BE APART!, NEVER TO BE RECORDED IN BOOKS OF HISTORY!, NEVER TO BE SOMEONE WHO COULD MAKE FRIENDS! , STUCK IN THIS BOOK!" Lila shouted, her skin turning black, which caused her to laugh "Then now you've come along here." She muttered

"Kill me." she muttered "This book was a part of your soul, making it so only you could do the magic due to your body absorbing Laplace's power when you were just a small embryo."

Zakai stood silent "I refuse."

Lila started laughing "Then I will force you to kill me!"

Waves of black substance shot at Zakai who dodged it "Why? who are you hating in this situation?"

"I do not blame our father. a foolish man he was, but he did it to save me, 16 years in this place is far too enough. don't you agree?"

Zakai easily dodged the waves of the sludge and was about to call upon his magic when he found he couldn't

"Laplace's magic." Lila muttered, "With his greed of knowledge, able to consume any grimoire, and steal it for himself, quite useful isn't it?" Lila muttered "Frankly, you still have that blood sword to kill me, it should be far than enough"

"Don't you have ouroboros magic, can't you just be reborn? what is the point of me killing you?" Zakai was on the defensive blocking the blows

"I don't have any magic power. this sludge? nothing more than the amalgamation of my despair, how poetic"

Zakai stopped "We can think of ways to free you!"

Lila stopped and laughed, her skin turning darker "A Dark elf, have you ever heard of them?"

Zakai shook his head

"An elf, overcome with hatred and despair." Lila muttered, "There magic becomes corrupt and darker. from here on out, there's no going back." Lila said, "You either kill me and end my suffering while I'm still partially rational, or you can bring yourself to kill me when I'm screaming for your blood and guts."

Zakai became still for a moment "Why! why did you force me into this situation! do you know how selfish your being! i don't want to kill you!"

Lila gave a laugh "I didn't have a choice either."

with her skin darkening with every moment that passed , Zakai felt teardrops run down his face

Zakai charged over with his sword, as she stood there and accepted it, while ready to get impaled

"Are you sure you want this?" Zakai said, "I could help you get an artificial body with forbidden magic!"

"Our souls have being intertwined already." She muttered "Putting my soul into an artificial body will only mean your soul to be dragged out"

"IT'S NOT MAKING ANY SENSE!" Zakai shouted, holding the tip of the blade to her throat

"You'll learn one day." She said, holding his head and sent some memories into his head "The magic stone's location."here I'll send you what Laplace knows of the elfes names and appearances." Lila pointed at the ceiling "What's that?"

Zakai looked up also to feel his sword being grabbed

"DON'T DO IT!"

"Gotcha!" She muttered, stabbing her throat with her sword

she laughed, her blood being splattered everywhere while Zakai was holding her

"Don't beat up father too bad." She laughed before her head dropped and twisted her head

The room distorted, sending Zakai to the cave, the blood magic circle around him and the bodies

"WHY!" Zakai screamed, causing the mark on his back to flinch , choosing not to say anything

Zakai felt a part of his soul was gone.
