The Grey Potter

A battle was raging across the manor grounds. The air around the area was filled with magical energy.

The man and woman who were fighting knew it was their time. They had battled hard so far and took down total of 30 of the attackers and stalled their lord. But they knew that they were exhausted and injured and that they won't make it. But none of them would give up to the man or the evil creature as the woman called him.

Dark lord Voldemort was enraged. He planned for this attack to go very smoothly taking the opportunity to kill powerful warrior pair and fire a hard blow to the other side. He knew that the opponent he was fighting was far different from his ex-headmaster Albus Dumbledore who was considered to be the greatest mage since Merlin himself. But he knew that Albus was not as dangerous in this war as was the war veteran in front of him.

Stood in front of him was the second son of House Potter and the younger brother of current Lord Fleamont Potter, Lord Charlus Potter and his wife Lady Dorea Black-Potter. He now knew why Grindelwald never dueled Charlus Potter on open grounds.

" You and your wife are inarguably one of the strongest magicals out there. Join me and drag your family's name out of mud and stand as the proud purebloods with me. Show them who this world of magic belongs to and show these mudbloods their places."

" I commend your fighting skills and give you this rare opportunity to join my work of purifying our world",Lord Voldemort offered the younger lord Potter.

Charlus Potter led out a snort," If you really think me and my wife would join you on this madness Voldemort then you are sorely mistaken. Perhaps you do not know about us, but Potters value one things above all, "Family". The day you attacked my brother was the day you made an enemy of House Potter. We do the right thing no matter what the cost. We will not surrender to you."

The Dark Lord as they called him laughed manically," Such a pity an invaluable amount of magical blood has already been spilled for this campaign and yours will be added as well."

The duo of husband and wife stood in anticipation for the final assualt already knowing the outcome but determined to take down as many of their opponents as possible. They made a silent communication.

Dorea Potter knew that the life with Charlus Potter would not be easy. She feared the worst the day she introduced him to her brother Lord Arcturus Black the lord of House Black. But having fought against Grindelwald in the war together they had gotten over their differences and formed a great friendship. Now after all these years the British Isles was plunged into yet another war. She could not have imagined another war in such short time after the Grindelwald one. Here now she was fighting for her life. While she was regarded as one of best duelist she was no warrior. She knew the end had come for her. She knew death had come to take her into the embrace of eternity.

But both the husband and wife did not fear death. They knew that they would embrace it like an old friend like their ancestors did. As Voldemort lightened up the manor grounds with the cursed flames after a tough battle they both only had one thought on their mind , the thought of the person who was currently finishing his training as a battlemage abroad, their only son, Andrew Charlus Potter.

Who knew that existence of a single person could change the whole future.
