Chapter 18 - The annoying Ghost

Wei Xiao and company arrived at a new city, two days after leaving Willow City. Having been eating a great amount of food and buying toys for the little baby with them, the three has exhausted a lot from their pockets, but the baby's eyes has been wide, full of eagerness to see more

Xiao Ling was eager to see more and was excited to go on an adventure with his two uncles. His mind wanders as his mouth eat.

The group saw several flying beasts and beasts who perform in a wooden stage.

A giant Roc, who's sill in his infancy, flew above them, following a flock of Giant Rocs in front. In the land, they saw two white foxes- one had six tails, the other has five, who was engaged in a fight. Though these type of foxes are considered rare, they aren't as rare as the nine-tailed fox.

Walking further, a pack of wolves dashed past them. They were running away from a giant bear who stands in about 10 meters. Though those wolves were running away, they don't looks as if they plan on escaping. If you look closely, you'll find that the pack was leading the giant bear to a pit covered with leaves.

The bear's feet was stuck on the pit. The wolves attacked.

"So fierce!" A voice exclaimed.

The voice was the same voice that Wei Xiao and Qin Zuijia was trying to ignore in their travels. Xiao Ling also received the signal, he refused to acknowledge the existence of the man, even if the guy gave him three to five candies. Xiao Ling would receive the candies, but would still ignore him. This made Zhao Fu's eyes twitch.

Wei Xiao continued to walk. Qin Zuijia held onto Xiao Ling and walked with Wei Xiao. Zhao Fu was left to look at the dying bear.

"Where are we going next?" Qin Zuijia asked Wei Xiao. He was lifting Xiao Ling by his hands, while the child dangles and swings himself to and fro.

"Transportation platform in Hyacinth." Wei Xiao replied, looking at a map. "We'll arrive there in two to three days."

Qin Zuijia nodded.

"Uncle! Xiao Ling hungry!" Xiao Ling shouted. "Xiao Ling wants cake! Xiao Ling wants chicken! Xiao Ling wants meat!" Xiao Ling sang songs filled with food he wanted to eat.

"We'll eat when we get to a town."

Zhao Fu watched the three who refuse to acknowledge his existence. "There's a town near here. At the foot of Mount Viper!" He shouts at the them.

"Mount Viper?" Qin Zuijia thought.

Mount Viper is famous for being the home of many venomous snakes. Both Demon beast and normal beasts roam the mountain. Many mages would visit the mountain to attain medicine from the venoms of snakes. Though venom kill people, the mages are able to refine tonics to increase immunity and even increase cultivation. Martial artists visit the mountain to gain experience. Most snakes in the mountain are very powerful with their cultivation being similar to a foundation stage cultivator. Though healers don't often go into large fights, the mountain would also attract their attention. Healers are basically a cultivator's doctor, they can dispel resentful energy in a cultivator when they let their Qi check that person's meridians. Mount Viper is filled with resentful energy, to healers this is a mountain filled with research materials.

The town at the foot of the mountain is called Star Jasmine. The people living there are all immune to snake venom. They are known to be welcoming to visitors, but they don't allow many to stay. The town limits people who come and go. They say that it was because their inns aren't enough to accommodate that many people and that the night in Star Jasmine is very cold. Regardless, people still chose the town to stay because it's the closest to Mount Viper.

"Yes, Mount Viper. Star Jasmine doesn't allow many people, but they do have a transport platform." Zhao Fu said. "The bad thing is that they speak another language. I don't really understand it that much, but you three might."

"What language?" Wei Xiao asked.

"The eastern language. It originated in Lavender Country." Zhao Fu answered.

"It should be Lavendrish, isn't it?" Qin Zuijia said.

(Note: Lavendrish is basically English, but the name was changed because the country was called Lavender country. English= England/ Lavendrish=Lavender Country..Places in the story was based off of flowers.)

"Should be." Wei Xiao replied.

"Can you speak it?"

"Mn."

"Xiao Ling can speak!" Xiao Ling answered.

"Xiao Ling knows a bit, but not all." Wei Xiao explained.

In be foot of the mountain, where both men and women were calm and peaceful, the sounds of horse carriage can be heard. This was the carriage of the continent's prince who was considered as the treasure of the people. The prince may not be a cultivator, but he is well-versed in Six arts, and on top of that, he is a dashing gentleman. With the prince, is the princess. A rare sight to behold. When the carriage stopped at a small inn. A man with short pure black hair, and green eyes came out.

"What an adorable little shack!" He said. His voice was like red velvet and bubbles. Deep, sweet, enough to bewitch both men and women.

"Brother?" A small and sweet voice sounder from inside the carriage. Her voice were like cotton candy dipped in sugar.

"Miranda, my darling little sister, we shall rest here in this little inn for the night." The man turned to the girl.

"I do not mind sleeping in the small inn, brother, shall we go inside?"

The man lifted a little girl, about 5-6 years old in, his arms. The man himself looks as if he's in his twenties, enough to be wed.

The man and little girl was the prince and princess of Wolf Bane continent.

The two sat on a table and ordered some dishes. They waited for their order to served, while talking to each other about each other's health.

At this moment, Wei Xiao, Qin Zuijia and Xiao Ling entered the inn with a little translucent ghost walking behind. Zhao Fu can be invisible when he wants the, but Wei Xiao and Qin Zuijia can still see him. The group chose a table in the far right, to be away from most people dining in the inn.

"Where's the transportation platform?" Qin Zuijia raised his hands to call a waiter.

"Should be in town square. Lets go see~" Zhao Fu smiled, teasing the two. Wei Xiao and Qin Zuijia has no other choice but to accept the boy's existence. If they can't ignore him, then extort him. This was Qin Zuijia's motto for most of the time.

"Town square." Wei Xiao said solemnly.

A woman brought them two cups of tea and a little dessert for Xiao Ling.

"We'll go tommorow." Qin Zuijia took a cup a sip the tea. His actions were reserve and proper. On hand held the cup while the other guard the bottom.

"Where is the east are we going to search?" Wei Xiao asked. His uncle never told him the specific place where Bai Chanle is located. The east is just as large as the south, The smallest city was still 8 thousand sqkm. The search might take them years before finding the right place.

"Who are you guys searching for?" Zhao Fu asked, his hand wanted to snatch a biscuit from Xiao Ling, but the child grabbed all of it and stuffed it in his mouth. Zhao Fu's eyes twitched, wanting to rap the kids head.

"How is that any of your business?" Qin Zuijia raised his brows towards Zhao Fu.

"I know some people in the south!" Zhao Fu replied, copying the mocking face of Qin Zuijia, just a bit more exaggerated.

"People?" Wei Xiao interjected.

Zhao Fu sighed, helplessly. "Okay, they're demon beasts and some are Ghosts." He said honestly. "But still, I have eyes and ears in the east." He paused and added. "I also have my two arms in the east, but that's not the point."

"Are you men searching for someone?" A deep and bubbly voice rang from behind Wei Xiao. The man owning the voice was sitting on a table right beside the table which Wei Xiao and co. chose. The man was helping a little girl eat, his hand were calm, as if he had done this for a millionth time.

Qin Zuijia's eyes widen. He knew who that man is, but the man doesn't seem to know who Qin Zuijia is, or at least how he looks like. "Your Highness!" Qin Zuijia stood up and bowed.

The man waved his hand, indicating for Qin Zuijia not to bow. "We aren't in a boisterous place, no need for formalities." The prince said. He smiled at the two and asked. "You said you were trying to find a person in the east?"

Qin Zuijia looks at Wei Xiao.

"Yes, Your Highness." Wei Xiao answered.

The prince laughed, making the whole dining area filled with deep and bubbly laughter, making anyone who comes near them fall. "Call me Alexander."

"That's inappropriate, your highness." Qin Zuijia smiled.

"Then you tell me your name, and you can call me with mine." The prince shrugged.

Qin Zuijia smiled and showed him his hands. "Wei Cheng."

"Please to meet you, Wei Cheng!" Alexander shook Qin Zuijia's hand.

"As do I."

Alexander turn to Wei Xiao. "And this fine gentleman is?"

"My cousin Wei Feng." Qin Zuijia held Xiao Ling and showed him to Alexander. "This is his nephew, Wei BaiLing."

Alexander nodded. "And the Ghost?"

Qin Zuijia turn to Zhao Fu. "Just some annoying boy we met at another city."

Alexander extended his hand towards Zhao Fu. "May I ask for this gentleman's name?"

Zhao Fu sneered. He did not understand a single word spoken by the man, but with the way he said things, he has already thought of him as a nuisance.

"He can't speak your language." Qin Zuijia said in a mocking voice that only Zhao Fu can understand.

Alexander uttered an 'oh' and turn to Qin Zuijia. "That's a pity then." Alexander laughed. "Who are you searching for?"

Wei Xiao sighed and shot a glance at Qin Zuijia. "Were searching for a man named Bai Chanle."

Alexander nodded.

"Do you know where he is?" Qin Zuijia inquired.

Alexander shook his head. "I do not know who this gentleman is, but I know a place that might help."

"And this place is?"

Alexander rubbed the little girl's head. "Me and my sister just so happens to be going there as well. Would you like to come with us?"

Qin Zuijia nodded and smiled. "We'd love that, but what exactly is this place?"

"It's the Wind Masters Sect." Alexander answered. "A very powerful sect in the east. It may not be the most prominent and powerful, but they have made a name of themselves already."

"Wind Masters Sect." Qin Zuijia tapped his fingers on the table. "We met some people from there. They were running an inn in Willow City."

"They should be there to exterminate some ghost. The Screaming Children has been bothering them for quite some times." Alexander laughs.

Qin Zuijia nodded. "When are you planning on leaving?"

"Tomorrow. My journey can no longer be delayed."

Wei Xiao and Qin Zuijia payed for two rooms, Xiao Ling would be sleeping with Qin Zuijia and Zhao Fu would be trapped with Wei Xiao. Wei Xiao doesn't mind watching over the annoying ghost. He wasn't worried about Qin Zuijia running away, because with his personality, he would be too lazy to run away.

Wei Xiao sat crossed leg in the bed and begun to meditate. He hasn't had time to sit down and cultivate since they left Willow city. Before they came to Willow City, Wei Xiao found that he came across a very hard to bypass bottleneck in his cultivation. He wasn't able to understand why he's experiencing a great bottle neck at this stage in his cultivation.

Wei Xiao sat and cultivated. He circulated his Qi ten time to locate where the problem is. His dantian wasn't damage, his meridians weren't sealed, but the core refuse to condense further. He sighed in defeat. He thought of many possible reasons as to why he cannot move forward. Then he remembered his brother, who was in lower stage than he is.

Even when Wei Xiao begun to surpass his brother in cultivation, Wei Xiayu never envied him. He taught Wei Xiao not to be arrogant, not to be spoiled, He taught him that no man is an island, and that he can't over do his body.

His brother isn't a genius like he is, he wasn't as powerful as Wei Xiao, but he was better in a lot of things. Wei Xiayu can talk to people better than Wei Xiao, he knows who to trust and who to not trust. He knows how to interact with other, and people prefer him than Wei Xiao. In this, Wei Xiao envied his brother, but this also makes him love him more.

"Your name isn't Wei Feng." Zhao Fu said, interrupting Wei Xiao's cultivation. "And that guy with you isn't your cousin."

Wei Xiao frowned but still ignored him and started to cultivate again.

"That man with you should be that person called Qin Zuijia, right?" Zhao Fu played with a random brach from god knows where it came from. "I heard the talk of the town. They said you two runaway together to cohabit." Zhao Fu laughed.

Wei Xiao draw a small amount of spiritual energy from the inn and used it to circulate his body.

"Have you two F*cked?"

Wei Xiao sprayed blood upon hearing his sentence.

Zhao Fu was stupefied. He didn't know what made Wei Xiao spray so much blood. It could be what he said, but he won't be sorry that he said it. After all, these two seem to exist in harmony.

Wei Xiao felt hot in his dantian right before Zhao Fu said that line. He begun to tend to his core, but it was still not enough. Then when Zhao Fu's lines touched His ears, his dantian heated up further and his core begun to condense in a great speed. He was unable to follow with the sudden. change and suck up a lot of spiritual energy, forcing his body to be overwhelmed. In the end he sprayed out blood.

Wei Xiao checked his cultivation and was surprised to find that he had surpassed the bottleneck and is now in the late stage core formation.
