A mysterious person saves him, only to leave him to die at the city gates! Fair warning, this is a story about a guy who is surrounded by women who are taller and stronger than him. Training and food

I was woken up by a knock on the door. I squinted at the door wonder why there was a knock when I couldn't even open the door.

"Are you awake now?"

"Ye.. yes"

"Are you hungry?"

I blinked and answered "Yes"

"Alright, I will bring you some food."

I looked outside the window and saw that it was dark. I couldn't tell what time it was but it should have been 2 or 3 hours since I slept. I was already feeling quite refreshed.

After a few minutes, there was another knock on the door. Then the door opened and Theresa came in with a plate in her hands. She put it on the desk and started to leave.

"Can you wait a minute?"

She stopped and glanced back at me.

"Yes?"

"Do you know when the guild master will be back?"

"She and the rest of the party will be back by tomorrow afterroon. It looks like they went quite far in search of Ifera and you."

"Oh ok…" It looked like I would be here only for a short time.

Theresa paused for a few more seconds but seeing that I had nothing else to say she left and locked the door. I sighed and tested the food. It was good food, better than anything I had before. It didn't seem like food you would give to a prisoner.

I wasn't too hungry yet, so I started exploring the room to see if the guild had left something here, maybe some books I could read. I was not good at reading but I could read enough. After some searching I didn't find anything that I could use to pass the time. Then I remembered what Elsie had taught, the exercises to strengthen my body. Those I could do by myself.

I did the push ups and squats. I didn't know how many I should be doing, so I did as many as I could. Then I took a break and did more. By the time I was done, I was sweating all over. I was also really hungry.

I finished the food in a few minutes and was left with nothing to do, again. Looking at my current state, I could only think of taking a bath. But I wasn't sure if Theresa would agree to such a thing. After all, I was being confined here.

I decided to try my luck and rang the bell. I didn't ring the bell hard but to my surprise Theresa showed up in just a minute. She opened the door and asked with an arched eyebrow, "Do you need something?"

"I need to take a bath. I haven't had one since yesterday."

"Have been training here?" she asked me with narrowed eyes.

"Well, yes. I didn't have anything to do and was getting bored."

I didn't seem like she believed me. After thinking for a few seconds, she said,

"Alright, lets go to the bath house. Since you don't have any other clothes, I will get you some that we have."

She came over and grabbed my arm again.

"I won't run away you know?"

She looked at her arm holding mine and reluctantly let it go. But as she took me to the bath house, we kept watching me warily. Was she expecting me to suddenly attack her? Not that I could actually hurt her. She seemed much stronger than me. It was likely that she was a former adventurer. Or could it be that the guild trains their employees? It might even be a requirement to get hired for all I knew.
