Life as Parents

I came down the stairs to hear Nash talking.

/"Where are you going?/" He asked. I watched him pick up Lakin and place her back with the others. Larkin crawled over to Lyric and climbed on top of her as he picked her up off her sister. I watched as Luna pulled herself up to a standing position at the coffee table. Lex sat there and watched them as Nash tended to the quints.

I walked over and took a seat on the floor. Lyric crawled over to me and into my lap. I situated Lyric as Nash picked up Lex, setting him on his lap while Larkin made her way over to me. Lakin made her way over to Luna as she pulled herself up to a standing position. They patted the top of the coffee table with their little hands.

/"I see the kids have been keeping you busy,/" I said to Nash.

/"I’m used to it with my brothers./" He smiled as he picked up Lex and held him up. I watched as Lex giggled while Lakin touched Luna’s face with her hand.
