When you spend a holiday with someone else’s family besides your own, it’s an event. When you spend the holidays with the Grays, it’s a unique adventure. Eight people in one house made for a fascinating dynamic. You throw in added family members, making the holidays pure chaos.

Pat and Nate cooked dinner as the boys watched the Lions lose again. I'm not too fond of sports. I curled up in a chair, reading a book. They would yell each time the ref called or miscalled a play.

Ding Dong!

/"Will someone answer the door?/" Nate asked.

The brothers ignored the doorbell due to the football game. I didn’t feel comfortable enough to answer it either. The person got impatient, lying on the doorbell.

/"My family can’t be bothered. Here, let me get it./" Nate walked by and answered the door.

/"Well, it’s about damn time you answered the door, big brother./"
